The deadlift has given women such a false sense of equality with men. A 200-300lb deadlift is not unheard of among women. A 200lb bench press is only done by transwomen or women on steroids.

I know plenty of buff dudes who can't deadlift 300lbs raw, and they're close to 200lbs, but can bench 225. Some people are just deadlift specialists. It happens. No reason to fitcel over it
You don't need to be a deadlift specialist to pull 1.5x your bw lmao
True. I weigh 130 lbs and can deadlift 270 lbs, which is almost 2.1x my bw.
that's a cool reddit AKTUALLY anecdote
but objective strength standards say a 200lb deadlift for a 150lb male is novice
a 200lb bench for a 150lb male is between intermediate and advanced
>A 200-300lb deadlift is not unheard of among women.
Make it 200~300 kg instead of lb and maybe I'll start giving a frick
>for the same weight DL is easier than BP
Wow guys we've got a sports scientist over here
smells like reddit troony poon in here now
I could deadlift 300 and bench 225 with a bodyweight of 130 if I were so inclined to starve.
Evidence lacking. Head canon..
I've done it before. You may go to the gym but you don't lift.
You used to be 130 lbs and bench 225? Calling bullshit.
I did it at a high school powerlifting meet. Weight class 128, bench press 225, 3 green lights. Believe it or don't. It is an achievable standard at that weight and 225 at 200 bodyweight is significntly less so and explains the girly 1.5bw deadlift.
a 225 bench for a high schooler is pretty elite
only .075% of the population can bench 225
or its .4% or some shit.... its a very low percentage is what I'm saying
It was advanced. The dudes who were elite left me behind to compete nationally. The rest of the population doesn't matter. Twinkle twinkle little star on the guitar mogs 99% of people too. Is that really relevant to musical proficiency?
i believe this, i (
)
weighed like 135 lb when i benched 225 for the first time. then again im lmao5'1" so ymmv
>objective strength standards
this is the most reddit sentence ever, you know it's based on the words of some random guy who made a calculator on some random site.
Strength Standards
Our strength standards are based on over 93,029,000 lifts entered by Strength Level users.
We have male and female standards for these gym exercises and more: bench press, squat, deadlift, shoulder press, pull ups, dumbbell bench press, dumbbell curl, push ups, barbell curl, dumbbell shoulder press.
other strength standard sites have similar numbers
https://strengthlevel.com/
Hey moron, how do you differentiate between legitimate lifts and people entering random numbers out of curiosity? Site is worthless. Watch I'm a 115lb female and I'm going to enter a 650lb deadlift. Looks like that's data now.
https://symmetricstrength.com/standards#/
has similar standards....they all have similar standards
either there is some vast conspiracy or you are proving to us publicly why you scored triple digits on your SAT and went to a community college
>He doesn't deny the flawed methodology
>It's okay because other sites use it
L.M.F.A.O.
it must be a conspiracy theory that your bench press would qualify as a novice lifter for a female
across every single weightlifting standard site the standards are basically the same
https://exrx.net/Testing/WeightLifting/StrengthStandards
maybe consider the fact that you yourself is the moron
>Still doesn't deny the flawed methodology
If those sites are so good, why should we use your homosexual one with a flawed methodology, moron?
every single strength standard site has basically the same numbers
what did you score on your SAT?
>every single one
>basically the same
>basically
Yup, you're an idiot. When you use vague language to occlude specifics, such as properly quantifying deviations, you know you're talking out of your ass.
>SAT
Nobody beyond college cares about that, let alone remembers. When you earn your college degree (assuming you won't drop out because of lack of discipline and stupidity), you'll move on to the next stage in your career. The only people who care about SAT scores as an indicator are college admissions committees, high schoolers, and freshmen/sophomore college students. In short, you're under 22 with a brain that's still developing. Focus your attention on things that actually matter while your brain is still plastic. Or continue obsessing over stupid shit like the SAT. It's not my problem.
>Nobody beyond college cares about that, let alone remembers.
lol ur a Black
Just older than you. You'll grow out of this, probably.
your just a dumb minority that has a triple digit SAT score and now you have pivoted to IQ like every other inbred redneck moron
>you have pivoted to IQ
Ctrl+f for iq shows your post as the only one to mention it. Projection much?
Anyhow, you would fail my (college) class.
It's not only a metric to compare individuals but also generations
Proof?
Ok, fine, where can we find a better data set than?
https://strengthcheck.me/
>It's only powerlifting
That's because you need a proper catalog of data to have accurate data, which open powerlifting does.
Post body.
body.
if i'm a 150lb mid 30's male, how much should i be able to deadlift for general fitness (gen fitness only, not going for power, size, gainz etc)
2pl8 for reps should be enough
that just means they never deadlift. if you deadlift every other workout(for recovery) and you add 10-15lbs every time you'll easily hit 225. I was adding 20-25lbs every day until 200lbs where I had to slow down. 225lbs deadlift is not difficult at all.
I know plenty of fat dyels who can't deadlift 300lbs raw, and they're close to 200lbs, and only bench just over their boyweight. Some people are just don't lift. It happens. No reason to fitcel over it
>300lb deadlift
Is this supposed to be significant for men?
>Is this supposed to be significant for men?
who said it was?
no one here can poke any holes in my original statement, so you just pretend im implying things that I'm obviously not
my mother does this... you... someone with a vegana.... do you have a vegana?
You said the deadlift gives women a false sense of equality with men when it comes to weightlifting, citing that a 200-300lb deadlift is not unheard of amongst them. A man who puts even a modicum of effort into his training can surpass that pretty quick just through basic progressive overload, so I don't see where this "false sense of equality" comes from, nor have I even seen what you're talking about.
dilate
ywnbaw
What the hell is your fricking point?
women are only a bit weaker in the lower body, while the upper body is like half strength.
i can deadlift sets of fahve with 4 plates but can't bench lmao2plate
female lower body strength is a lot closer to males than upper body. Guys see a girl benching 65 lb and assume they can't lift anything heavy, even though they're capable of 70 to even 80% of male lower body strength. A trained female can absolutely mog average gymbros on the squat and deadlift.
sounds like you just have a dogshit squat and deadlift
There are guys that will bench 200lbs first day in the gym. It's not impressive and definitely doesn't require steroids.
lower than 1% of the population can bench 225
I love the "i dont even work out bruh..." its always complete bullshit
this fantasy that you morons have that some people can just genetics their way to a 200lb bench while sitting on a couch their entire life is so stupid its dangerous
I saw the "i dont even work out bruh" thing coming from a mile away
after the crossfit/instagram mania everyone is now going to pretend they built muscle by watching football on sundays and eating nachos
pathetic
and let me also add, the strength standards for 250-300lb people on the various websites seem like bullshit
there are tons of 250lb dudes in america that can barely bench the bar, the whole "fat makes you strong" shit actually has a reasonable amount of merit, but no one can bloat your way to a 225 bench without actually exercises a fair amount
NOT TRUE BRUH MY COUSIN DOESNT WORK OUT HE BENCHED 405 ON HIS
shut the frick up homosexual eat shit and die
"there are just some people that are genetically gifted that can lift heavy weights without training"
no
scientific objective answer
no
leave
no
im a woman (no y chromie) and i hit 200 lb on bench at like 130 lbs and after like 9 months of liftan (fricking around without a program). cope, seethe, etc
>im a woman
trans rights are human rights
Sumo doesn't count and never has.
