I know plenty of buff dudes who can't deadlift 300lbs raw, and they're close to 200lbs, but can bench 225. Some people are just deadlift specialists. It happens. No reason to fitcel over it

You don't need to be a deadlift specialist to pull 1.5x your bw lmao

True. I weigh 130 lbs and can deadlift 270 lbs, which is almost 2.1x my bw.

that's a cool reddit AKTUALLY anecdote

but objective strength standards say a 200lb deadlift for a 150lb male is novice

a 200lb bench for a 150lb male is between intermediate and advanced

I did it at a high school powerlifting meet. Weight class 128, bench press 225, 3 green lights. Believe it or don't. It is an achievable standard at that weight and 225 at 200 bodyweight is significntly less so and explains the girly 1.5bw deadlift.

a 225 bench for a high schooler is pretty elite

only .075% of the population can bench 225

          Strength Standards

Our strength standards are based on over 93,029,000 lifts entered by Strength Level users.

We have male and female standards for these gym exercises and more: bench press, squat, deadlift, shoulder press, pull ups, dumbbell bench press, dumbbell curl, push ups, barbell curl, dumbbell shoulder press.

other strength standard sites have similar numbers

Nobody beyond college cares about that, let alone remembers. When you earn your college degree (assuming you won't drop out because of lack of discipline and stupidity), you'll move on to the next stage in your career. The only people who care about SAT scores as an indicator are college admissions committees, high schoolers, and freshmen/sophomore college students. In short, you're under 22 with a brain that's still developing. Focus your attention on things that actually matter while your brain is still plastic. Or continue obsessing over stupid shit like the SAT. It's not my problem.

that just means they never deadlift. if you deadlift every other workout(for recovery) and you add 10-15lbs every time you'll easily hit 225. I was adding 20-25lbs every day until 200lbs where I had to slow down. 225lbs deadlift is not difficult at all.

You said the deadlift gives women a false sense of equality with men when it comes to weightlifting, citing that a 200-300lb deadlift is not unheard of amongst them. A man who puts even a modicum of effort into his training can surpass that pretty quick just through basic progressive overload, so I don't see where this "false sense of equality" comes from, nor have I even seen what you're talking about.

female lower body strength is a lot closer to males than upper body. Guys see a girl benching 65 lb and assume they can't lift anything heavy, even though they're capable of 70 to even 80% of male lower body strength. A trained female can absolutely mog average gymbros on the squat and deadlift.
