      complex carbs = your body has to digest it more before turning it into glucose as opposed to being more "readily available".

      Another argument can be made against simple carbs, "enriched" flour commonly used in refined carbs are stripped of their vitamins and minerals then they add their own, I just heard about it but didn't look into it in-depth; I believe in keto so I avoid carbs anyway.
