Pure mental illness. I understand foreveralone permavirgins getting this surgery because they’re sad and desperate and they think this surgery will get them a mate. But with a girlfriend already? Why, just why? Risky, unnecessary, invasive, structural integrity of legs will never be the same. How embarrassing for his gf to have a man who is so insecure that her attraction isn’t enough validation and he would rather mutilate himself.

Reminds me of trannies, but even more misguided.

A broken bone will always be a little more fragile. But that’s almost negligible compared to the main concern. Muscle, ligaments, connective tissue, nerves, were all stretched. This is going to make the legs more injury-prone, cause problems over time, and significantly impact the expected longevity of the legs. Things like sciatica will be worse. Tendon injuries will be more frequent. IT band will be tighter causing greater chance of tendonitis and knee damage. The list goes on.

I say this as someone who had a surgery where they broke my femur and changed the angle at which it intersected the pelvis. I was young and the doctors told me this would fix my hip pain. Ever since the surgery my IT band has been in almost constant pain, my knee and hip are always in pain from being tugged by a tight IT band. And my surgery did far less reconstruction than this dude’s. permanent disastrous impacts on the rest of the body are a fairly common and obvious result of reconstructive skeletal surgery. It should only be done when absolutely necessary. Makes me sick that someone would be so self-hating that they’d hurt themselves like this for no reason. Doesn’t help that doctors will nonchalantly downplay the risks of surgery because it isn’t their body being hacked apart.

Broke my arm when I was 13, was a little bent when it came out of the cast and the doc said it'll straighten itself out. Years later and it's still bent and I get occasional aches in the area too.
