A lot of protein powder companies, especially the cheaper ones put nitrogen products into their mix so that when they go through the process of being examined to establish the nutritional values that will get put on the nutritional value sticker, it looks like it has more protein than what it actually contains

that's what you get for wasting your money on fart powder. bodybuilders and athletes get that shit for free and still don't use. no one who shills protein powder actually uses it. they just eat normal food. pro-bodybuilders would rather choke down 5lbs of meat per day over drinking a few shakes.

I'm poor and can't afford enough real food, plus I don't know how to cook. Protein shakes are cost efficient, simple to prepare, and liquid calories are easier for me to get down my throat

You are poor and moronic, eggs are cheaper than whey

Eggs work out to 0.6g protein per 1¢
Whey works out to 0.26g protein per 1¢

For anyone that wants the numbers.

If you're too poor for real food, you have way more important things to worry about than muh protein. Educate yourself and get a job that's worth a shit, first.

MAtrix nutrition is legit. I had a high blood urea and creatine while taking it. High enough that the dr ordered more blood tests for when I wasn't (they came back in normal range).
    They're good value too

I had to stop taking whey protein because it's one of the few foods that's pretty solidly linked to acne. Now I take Orgain's organic protein powder - which is mostly pea protein. Tastes pretty good. But it's expensive-ish, especially if you buy it in stores. I always get mine from Amazon - which is about half the price that I see in my local stores like Whole Foods and Giant. I recommend it if you have acne issues like me.

literally take daily showers you moron

I shower every day and became OCD about my hygiene in order to prevent acne. I also tried probably around 20 different prescription drugs from dermatologists, God knows how many over the counter topical products (I have a plastic bin full of them), lots of different supplements like B3, B5, zinc, magnesium, and fish oil, physical exfoliating devices, red light masks, different diets, et cetera. Nothing worked besides Accutane - which I have to take for the rest of my life due to a chronic scalp condition that I developed from the overuse of antibiotics while trying to control my acne. Some people just get fricked in the skin department. Every day I wish I had normal and healthy skin and could just take a shower every once in a while and not have to worry about my skin trying to eat me alive.
