I think pro bodybuilding does involve a lot of increasing risks with age, especially if you take steroids. However it really concerns a very minor part of the population and aside from that, weightlifting while maintaining a proper diet is probably the best sport for longetivity.

As a bodybuilder (assuming you are roiding and huge) you are putting similar strain on your body like an obese person. You are still carrying an unhealthy amount of weight, your heart works overtime, your cardiovascular system is fricked and if you don't keep a close eye on it the elevated blood pressure is a serious issue. Cutting to extreme levels of low body fat is also a huge stress factor. That's not even taking damage to kidneys or liver into account and the potential of diabetes. Of course, all those things can be mitigated but just like many things we do that are unhealthy, most of us would rather not know if or how much damage we have already done, and that's when people eventually drop dead.
