There is no rational reason to train martial arts.

There is no rational reason to train martial arts. The strength gains are inferior to just going to the gym, the cardio is bad. You also sustain injuries including brain damage.

you can train martial arts without getting kicked in the head. you probably don't think there's a "rational reason" to do most things people enjoy doing, why should we care about your pointless judgment?

You train martial arts that don’t hit the head (full contact karate, judo, jiu jitsu, etc)

People having fun with their hobby and anon thinks they are moronic because its not effective and safe, is the most autist and IST moment.

Bodybuilders are nothing but scared control freaks..

martial arts, (muay thai, boxing, bjj, wrestling, jubo, kick boxing/traditional martial arts) teach you how to fight and are a great work out. Fighting isn't something that comes naturally to the majority of people. It helps build confidence and character. You also do strength training, the two are not mutually exclusive.

It’s a fun thing to do. It’s a great place to meet right wing guys to build your network. It’s also fun to be able to smash most people on the street after a few years of training.

Why are you training to be stronger if you don’t want to learn the necessary skills to protect your family?

OP is a moron that said ‘rational’ when he meant ‘practical’.

Doing martial arts because it’s a fun and competitive way to exercise is based, doing martial arts because you want to be able to defend yourself in combat is moronic. Just stay away from ghetto places late at night and keep a handgun in your nightstand if you’re worried about home invaders.

Some guy said that to me irl but my gains were a lot better.

You also train muscles and connective tissues that stabilize your body. Ergo less injuries using your strength. It teaches you to use your body much better than lifting. And you get a skill at the end of it.

this sounds like you have just picked a fight with a well trained fighter who is advancing toward you about to break your jaw and perforate his spleen, and stutteringly you say to him what you have just posted, desperately trying to appeal to his rationality and epically own him with logic
