Literally lying on your back like a turtle pushing a weight up. Tell me how many real life scenarios are you going to be doing a horizontal press?
Useless for function
Useless for hyperthrophy
Doesn't even look cool

Pushing your tub of lars mother off my dick.
sippybippy
What's better for chest development my bench sucks dick, but I can dumbell press decently
dips, weighted pushups, reverse grip bench
also OP is a moron that's baiting
If it was useless then why are those muscles so big?
I bench for moments like this scene - https://youtu.be/E6AQQLVI68g?si=IpLiXUpwe7zn1qvF
You're right dumbbell bench is way better
LMAO, you homosexuals say the darndest things.
>t. one side of body stronger than the other
>Useless for hyperthrophy
My chest grew from it, but my arms grew mmuch more tho
I dont know if I was somehow doing incline bench incorrectly but I saw no gains from them. Started to do regular bench and saw gains in my chest.
If it doesnt look cool then why is it so cool? Checkmate
The reason you guys b***h about bench being bad for hypertrophy is because you let your ego take over. Lower the weight, control it, and focus on stretching your chest instead of pushing the weight with your arms/shoulders. If you've never felt a chest pump from bench then do this during your next session. You fricking morons don't know how to bodybuild
b-b-but i need a 2pl8 bench!
Kek. I love how fitness industry propoaganda filters out morons from the very beginning
benching heavy is just for memes. Control lifting is the best for benching. This is how you grow your pecs and tris.
>benching heavy is just for memes
Brainrot. You recognize the meme word brainrot, son? You've got brainrot from too much IST Reddit there.
You DO NOT need to feel a pump in a certain muscle when you lift. DO NOT fall for this noob trap.
i get "chest pump" from bench even though i never do more than 5 reps in a set and never stop at the bottom
i have never gotten a pump from bench press
>Tell me how many real life scenarios are you going to be doing a horizontal press?
some fat person lays sideways across you while youre sleeping in bed
People really don't understand how exercises/strength carries over. You really think someone who only benches would only be able to apply force while laying down? You don't think they'd have strong triceps? Might as well stop doing barbell work altogether because you're never gonna have to move a barbell irl.
Dyels who can't dip prefer bench
>Do BP
>Wrists hurt
In the same way the barbell deadlift builds a strong overall posterior, barbell bench builds a strong overall upper body. It’s a compound lift, it’s not meant to target *just* your chest. Of course if you want to isolate and bias the individual heads of the chest if you want it to grow.
That being said, if you have a solid mind-muscle connection and you aren’t ego lifting you’ll figure out how to contract and squeeze your chest through the movement and get better activation, thus more chest gains.
Plus, the chest, shoulder, and arm pump you all get from barbell benchpress is one of the best feelings in the world. I like wearing a really baggy shirt when I start my sets so by the time I’m done I can see my whole upper body hugging what would otherwise be too big a shirt for me.
OP sounds like a b***h with a weak bench
>people say decline bench is bad for chest developemend
>same people people suggest dips for chest which are practically a 90° angle decline bench
what is it now, morons? make up your mind.
