What is the point in lifting when one day we will all be dead?

What is the point of anything you retard? Just lift the iron and shut the FUCK up.

I don't know. Life is tragic but keeps you comfortable enough to keep wanting it and then it ends forever. I can barely get out of bed in the morning, fuck this gay earth.

It's true though, nothing matters because shortly we will die and lose everything we had forever

        >the struggle itself towards the heights is enough to fill a man’s heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy.
Only pussies need some greater purpose. Live because you enjoy life. You don’t? Make changes so you do. You can’t or won’t? Then have a nice day. Stop treating a Malaysian farming equipment exchange forum as your personal diary.

That we will all be dead one day is the point of lifting, anon. Be the universe experiencing itself.

Exactly. Would you rather just drift meekly into the void wondering about what you could have been or walk to it a stronger, better person knowing you tried?

Think more in the present. Also stop thinking about things and act more on impulse, you’re not stupid enough to do anything that will actively harm you so just do it TM
Life will be more fun this way

So you can have a better life experience, by being more attractive to those around you and therefore be treated better and be more respected. Also to have a more useful body until the day you die, it's not the same to be 35 year old sack of shit, obese that runs the risk of breaking his back every time you have to pick up something from the floor than being a fit person who can move around easily and complete daily tasks with litte effort.

Yes, we all are going to die, but you can do things to have a better quality of life until that day comes, and it's worth it, you just have to compare a relatively young person who is fit and a person of the same age who is unfit and even obese to see that it does make a huge difference, even when you are not having a good time in life, it will be slightly less worse if you take care of your body

Just as Christ was bodily resurrected we too will carry our bodies with us to the next life. We are made in the image of God, to squander that image would be a heinous crime.

I'll add that ultimately no purpose can be found outside of God. If you are a staunch materialist then you have to admit that our lives came about by complete cosmic random chance. Like static on your television screen suddenly forming into a black and white movie that is the greatest most poignant story you'd ever seen, where the characters question their own existence before the screen fades back to static. Any meaning that you can find in this reality is relative, it only persists if you consciously ignore your own finitude.

            Anonymous

So would I but it’s just not the case. I can’t believe eternal oblivion exists. On the other hand reality observably exists. There’s nothing to suggest there’s a point where there’s just nothing except a human rationalisation that if something exists nothing must exist. There’s no logic in that

We could die of old age 60 years from now, by cancer 30 years from now or from a car crash tomorrow. It's up to you to decide what to do with your time on here. The reason it matters is what kind of quality of life do you want for yourself until your time comes? I know I don't want it to be an obese fuck dealing with heart problems by the time he reaches 40. If I reach 60, I'd rather have a fit body and sharp mind over one that needs a cane and has dementia

The final boss in life that no-one has passed.
    Maybe it's like that.
If not then it doesn't matter. What are you expecting? Death is not news. Everyone lives and dies. Focus on the living part instead of fantasising about the future part.

  33. 3 weeks ago

The point is you have to find a point. I lift because I want to live a life of work and dedication, while holding the best standars available to me both mentally and physically, I strongly believe this is the only way to express your full potential and be ready to accept your death as part of life like everyone. We're all simple mortals, you are not special. If you're such a gay that doesn't have the mental ability to find some kind of purpose by your own means and comes here asking for validation, just end it now. The harsh truth is no one cares.

Death is the reason anything has meaning. Without it, life would be devoid of meaning. Everything would be pointless because it could be endlessly repeated.

Because despite anything you may believe in. The native's are based as fuck. And their afterlife is something along the lines of you go to the afterlife the exact way you died. So do you want to be in permanent afterlife a fatty. Or at least in decent shape for the eternal hunting grounds? I think the choice is clear. Look at this mother fuckers crimson jawline you gay. You wish your mcdonalds wet bread chewing jawline could even match this shit and Big Chief Mogahoe will require penance.

Fitness takes very little time, just remember you’re in it for the long haul, no need to blast 2 hr workouts unless you have a specific goal in mind.

It takes so little time, and has so many benefits. My navy neighbor is 90 and in better shape than many American 60 year olds.

I heard the saddest shit at work - guy retired and had a heart attack mowing the lawn the same week. Imagine working your whole life and instead of 30 years of relaxation ahead of you, you died. That’s why fitness.

Because I want the coffin I'm buried in to be so fucking big they have to buy multiple plots.
My will stipulates that I be buried wrapped in my lifting belt and chains.
In thousands of years when the graveyard is discovered they'll think I was some freak of nature that they had to restrict my body with chains because I was that beastly. A warrior king. A demigod.
