These guys don't even look happy.

I understand hobbies, but modern bodybuilding is mental illness. It's akin to self harm. Every other era including the Golden Era was at least chasing some form of beauty that could admired.

I’ll never you people. If exercising and going to the gym isn’t your thing, then fine. No one is twisting your arm and forcing you to go to the gym. If you don’t wanna do it, then don’t. It’s as simple as that. But to actively shit on people who do find enjoyment out of something that you are undeniably better off for doing, I’ll never understand. I’m not even talking about putting on a shitload of mass and becoming a steroid monster. Just changing your diet around, cutting down some excess fat and putting on some extra lean muscle is just one of those thing where you are objectively better off for doing than not. Same as if I said you would be objectively better off if your job paid you more money. It’s not like a controversial thing to say. It’s just a truth.

It’s not like it’s a huge sacrifice you’re making either. An hour of your day that you likely would have spent fricking off anyway and changing some foods you were gonna eat anyway, in exchange for better health, mood and sleep seems like a pretty nice trade off.

I absolutely understand hobbies. And thats exactly what I dont understand about the popularity of modern lifting. When I started, and I started "only" 12 years ago, lifting was so fricking underground its not even funny. There was no gymshark, no alphalete, no youngla, no youtube fitness, no influencers, no ghost oreo whey protein, nothing. Back then you had people lifting, who wanted to lift. This "sport" is for the 0,00000000000000000001% mentally ill minority. It is absolutely insane how mainstream roiding and looking like a tumor has gotten.

It just so artificial and promotes mental illness. This content shouldnt get much more than 50 views. And its so obvious by the results and looking at people in the gym in reality. People dont really want to bodybuild, they just want novice results and a beach body.

Their problem isn't their height. It's that they're roided bodybuilding freaks. You can be short and have a good-looking physique as long as you're lean enough and not so big that you look as wide as you are tall.

I've seen LEGOgay nerds lose their fricking minds over their childish hobby.
I've watched adult men throw shit around the room over a fricking video game.
I've watched grown men cry because they fricked up their bowling game during a tournament and didn't take the top spot.
Every hobby/sport has people who take it too seriously, but you know what's worse, OP? Black personisraelites like you who don't even lift yet spend their time screeching about people who do. You should have a nice day, let me know if you need ideas how to do it, I'm here to help.

My fault for leading with wha sounded like a blackpill. Lifting is a fine hobby, hell there's nothing wrong with hypertrophy and physique goals but sacrificing most of your life and health to look and perform like a greasy meatball is stupid.

        >sacrificing most of your life and health to look and perform like a greasy meatball
Most "bodybuilders" aren't doing that, any more than most 40k gays are spending $3000 to put together a 2000-point AdMech list or most "preppers" are actually building cabins in the woods full of ammo and potable water. Every hobby has "that guy" who takes it way beyond what most people would consider reasonable.

        But why do you care?
Literally, nobody here gives one frick what you do. You could lift, you could be taking 20 dicks at the local glory hole every night, but in the end, nobody cares nearly as much about what you're doing as you seem to care about what others are doing.
It makes you sound pretty gay overall being this upset that someone would go beyond whatever you're willing to do because they enjoy it more than you do.

Cabin? Ammo? Potable water? LOL In a WROL scenario? Assuming we haven't been nuked first(forget duck and cover, just kiss your ass goodbye and remember the best nuts you ever got off while getting vaporized), just study Mad Max and Fist of the North Star. Every dumbass with a rifle will give his position away or panic and use their ammo up. Big stick win. Ape alone weak. Ape together strong. Find a big stick. Find group of goons with big sticks. Join goons. Assert dominance, if able, or take ration of resources pillaged. Enjoy until someone else asserts dominance and leaves your corpse to rot in wasteland. End.

BB is the most based physical hobby but good luck finding a decent place.

    >lowest injury risk
    >can participate in any activity and be decent at it from the start thanks to overall strength and coordination
    >ensures your bones/soft tissues are healthy into old age
    >improves hormonal profile
    >improves mood
    >actually makes you look good
    >forces you to eat healthy
    >can do it anywhere, find heavy thing -> pick it up put it down

I'm 35 and am stronger/bigger/healthier than at 20. Meanwhile all my other actual athlete friends all have tendon problems and look dyel.

Skinny fat aesthetics, back and knee issues with nothing to show for it, exhaustion from chronic alcohol consumption, 9-5 and a nagging fat wife.

This the your average 'yeah I was a former athlete, bodybuilding is so pathetic haha' after 30. Often sometimes seen in the gym doing quarters squats and divebomb benching.

That's why the ascended lifta prioritises fun and intensity instead of autistic calorie counting and routine optimisation. And when the time is ready he displays his physique with pride on a sunny beach. He doesn't spend his time pinning and obsessing over calf insertions or wrist width just to strip down to his underwear and pose next to some equally roided gremlin in a dimly lit basement.

Advice to all gymcels thinking of going "le monk mode". Don't. Go out, have fun and enjoy life

They are literally posing in a gym that cost 100K usd to set up, being recorded by 10K usd cameras with potential to earn thousands just from dumbass dudes who go "i want to frick that guy buying his merch gets me partway there i'm gonna jerk off in sam sulek's favorite shorts".
where is this narrative that they're "unhappy" or "just posing with gymcels" coming from?

Yeah, don't become like those freaks. But it's still definitely worth lifting and taking it seriously until you get to Hollywood actor levels. But once you're at that point, it's time to just focus on maintaining what you have, and go outside and talk to girls to enjoy the benefits of the physique you've built.
