fasting is still one of the few things linked to longer lifespans with a lot of evidence. This is a press release, not a study. It's entirely self-reporting. Further, it's self-reported dieting. Much like "I only drink diet soda" comes out of the mouth of fat people, "I'm doing 8 hour restricted time feeding" is also out of the mouth of fat people, and most fail.
Hilariously, they did not ask the people if they were doing time-restricted eating. They literally just looked for anyone who ate for short periods of time during the day based on a self-report from a different study.

On omad you are in a fasted state as long as someone who eats the same amount in two or three meals each day. The reason your love handles are disappearing is simply through a caloric deficit. And no. A caloric deficit is not starvation in spite of what fat feminists might claim.
