Same thing happened to me as a kid. You might want to go to a dermatologist to check out the balding tho.
You've been balding for years m8, you haven't had the same hairline forever it's just gradual so you think you did, I guarantee you no child has that hairline and literally everyone believes that same thing when they notice balding, I've heard it more times than I can count. Only actual solution is to address the androgens fundamentally causing the problem, min is not a fix and will leave you with even less if you ever stop it and doesn't slow the progression at all. Do with this info as you will, I know you won't listen me immediately.

Do you have a lot of stress in your life right now? If it's only happening on one side of your hair it could be stress related alopecia. I had that shit for about 6 months before I got it treated. They gave me corticosteroids directly in the scalp and it grew back really nicely. But while it was regrowing I just said frick it, and went through my hair with a 0 blade and rocked a buzzcut with a messed up hair line. If you look at my hairline nowadays you can't even tell I had hairloss on one side, so the treatment worked really nicely.

I think I'm just going to go to a dermatologist. Also should see some jaw specialist too to see if I need surgery to fix that disc issue since it's annoying as frick. It's a type of nuisance you never get used too. Similar to those people that hear a never ending ringing in their ear.
