Is this true? Even when bulking? I don’t know why I never thought of going to the gym without breakfast before but this actually might work really well for me because I usually just force myself to eat anyways because I’m skinny and the thought of working out without food makes me feel like I won’t make as much gains or something. Starting from tomorrow I’m definitely gonna give this a try.

Frick off. My best morning lifts are when I get a full breakfast in me beforehand. As long as no cardio is involved there are no negative effects to eating before lifting.

I go early (4 am), I don't really need to eat but have a strong cup of caffeine milk and it works
always eat before hand. you can test it yourself. you will always feell and perform better having eaten. even if it's just a small bowl or oats or some fruit.

Just drink coffee before you workout and eat after. If you are hitting your macros, you should feel fine in the morning. Realistically, you could probably get away with an afternoon workout provided you fasted in the morning and had coffee before lifting.

If you burn 500 calories fasted or fed, you burned 500 calories. You might burn a little bit more in the fed state because you have higher power output. But as far as substrate utilization, you burn fat with fasted exercise, not glucose in the blood. That's the main draw because there is a chance that you don't replace that fat when you eat, but you have to be in a caloric deficit over a period of time. If you're just going to eat normally there won't be any net benefit.

Same here, any time ive eaten before working out i feel weaker and sluggish, ive tried different foods and different time lengths of waiting after i eaten to lift. Morning fasted work out is best for me
I used to do this and the thing that made the most difference was taking a scalding hot shower and drinking a ton of water upon waking up. Woke me up better and faster than any amount of caffeine.
Food wise, having some glucose from starch (bagels, baguette, whatever) would be good. Most importantly, get some glucose in you immediately after workout.

Lifting after fasting isn't good, you could get dizzy for a second and end up injuring yourself

I don't lift early, but I fast from 3pm to 7am
I hate having food in my stomach when I exercise, but I drink a good bit of raw honey before I go.
