TRT

Hey /fit, I am a 29 year old male with borderline low testosterone results. I have talked to my endocrinologist and she suggested doing TRT

Should I do it? what are the side effects? any personal stories?

      >how's your lifestyle atm? sedentary, shit sleep, shit diet, no training?
I just assumed he had ruled all that out - OP you can raise it quite a bit with lifestyle changes.
That said, when they offer roids, at least fill the Rx.

      I am currently at 286 ng/dL

I am mostly sedentary. Sleep is ok, but could be better. I get tired very quickly and I have no motivation to do anything.

my diet is good but for some reason I still am at 28% bf. probably because my prolactin was through the roof. I train 2-3 times a week but my progress is pretty much non existent. i've been training my whole life but I still look dyel even thou I can benchpress 200

        >my prolactin was through the roof.
what was your LH and FSH? Sounds like primary low-t, meaning your body is not asking for more T.
Definitely get on something with a T level that low, but if your prolactin is already high, you'll likely have to watch your estrogen really closely.
CUT NOW - high BF is hell on your endo system.
With a T level that low, you'll see insane gains on baby doses.

          LH - 2.34 mIU/mL (normal range 1.7-8.6)

          FSH - 1.16 mIU/mL ( normal range 1.5-12.4)

hopefully I used proper units of measurement, no idea what's English equivalent to мMeд/мл

Dude fix your fricking lifestyle. This stuff alone is enough to nuke your test. Don't slap a bandaid on underlying health problems... don't be sedentary and don't be fat. Holy shit you people are fricking helpless

If /she/ suggested to do it, then you most certainly should. Usually only male endos will help you out.
    What are your numbers?

I did serious damage to my boys years ago, been on Test ever since. My numbers were in the 200s, but my LH and FSH were sky high (my body was calling for more, the balls couldn't keep up.)
Interestingly enough, my sperm count was still OK.

Save the money, and the hassle, don't use creams and gels, just pin it. They'll put you on 200 mg every 2 weeks, after a while, try to get them to give you every 200 mg every 10 days.
STAY LEAN - you (or at least most) don't have the estrogenic side effect issues if they keep their BF low.

my LH is borderline and my FSH is very low, never had any testicular damage but had multiple problems with thyroid.

yeah, your body isn't asking your body to make the correct amount.
you could try to tweak it with clomid or something, but you should just pin the test your body isn't making.
If your thyroid isn't getting the correct signals, something like your testicles definitely won't be getting the right signal.
Sorry, broski, but you're stuck pinning

It's not so bad. It's almost refreshing to be in control of your own hormone levels. In your case, you already have to (or should) worry about your other hormone profiles. In my case, it gave me a lot of extra stuff I needed to watch.
If you get them to raise the dose to 200 mg every 10 days or so, you'll be able to maintain a level that would make most natties jealous.
Keep an eye on your other parameters, especially your prolactin (which gives you b***h breasts), also your red blood cell count, cholesterol, etc. In the case of the red blood cel count, you may get told to donate blood every 6 months or so.

in my case other parameters is liver.

is it hard to stay lean on trt? and how do I avoid gyno, do I just diet properly?

try asking in /fraud/ they are (presumably) much more knowledgeable than the average fit poster on this topic

you for sure should be on T. You have nothing to lose. You should pin it because that's the easiest to administer and the easiest on your body. You'll get addicted right away because your mood, physique, confidence, aggression all go up. it just makes you more masculine.

      >you have nothing to lose
Are you actually a moron? You become infertile on TRT. you do realize this, right? (I can tell you don't). Also when you shut down your HPTA axis long term you will never get it going again correctly. You are a fricking moron and need to actually read. You have lost internet privileges

Take it immediately. Pinning is a nothing burger and you'll feel 100x better on a stable level of test.

    >t. 35 year old that started TRT. 200mg sustanon every 10 days.

      >200mg sustanon every 10 days.
      What are your numbers?
200 mg test-C every 14 days and I'd fall to around 400 ng/dl total. No idea how much I peaked to, but I definitely timed my hardest activities around the few days after the shot.

my doctor said something about needing a shot of test every 3 month, I suppose there are different ways of doing

that'lll be undeconate, and its pretty shite, pin regular with cyp or enth. much better stability

That's Testosterone undecanoate. It takes much longer to reach an optimal level of testosterone compared to esters with shorter half-lives but once you get up there a lot of people think it's much comfier to just pin once every 2-3 months instead of twice a week. But the downside is that it will take many months for you to actually start feeling the effects.

If I were you I would ask to try 100mg testogel or test-c out for 3 months to see how you respond before you commit. If you love the effects, then you can jump onto undecanoate

          Anonymous

          >100mg testogel or test-c
I vote to avoid the gels - they're messy, time consuming (you have to wait for it to dry or it all ends up on your shirt), and you need to be super careful around children and women.
Just to Test-C and pin it. Doctors prefer the fancy new stuff because that's what the pharma gods are pushing (higher cost, fewer generics, etc.)
Stick (no pun) with the standard that has been used for decades.
I hate needles, but the injection is completely painless. You may feel something, but it won't be pain. If I'm lazy, I just have my wife do the injection (also to mix up the injection sites.)
I really think they just push the non-needle stuff to make more money and because people fear needles. (And the negative connotation of needles in general.)

A lot of euro countries only offer gels and undecanoate. I dont know where OP is from but if those two are his options I think he should start off with the gel to see how he responds first. Otherwise I agree that test-c is much less hassle

off the back of this, if you're a pussy and dont like injecting im, you can also do it sub q - completely painless but you might be left with a little lump

    It's absolutely life-changing if you're low T.
Try it out for 3-6 months. Worst case scenario it doesn't work and you can just come off it without any permanent damage to your endocrine system.

Only downsides are infertility and balding if you have MPB. If you're in the US, the doctor can prescribe HCG to avoid infertility and you can get finasteride anywhere if you really care about your hair. So there aren't really any downsides besides the financial part

God you are a moron. You develop a tolerance to HCG and cannot take it continuously. It is used short term and it also nukes your body's own HCG production. Also if you take finasteride with TRT this is pretty much negating the purpose of using TRT. DHT is a more potent androgen than T by magnitudes, and it is the androgenicity of DHT that gives you the mood boosts and body composition and basically every stated benefit of testosterone

        >You develop a tolerance to HCG and cannot take it continuously
wrong, this is all from moronic theories on roider forums from 10 years ago

        >It is used short term and it also nukes your body's own HCG production
your body doesn't make HCG it makes LH and HCG replaces LH, LH production jumps right back easily upon cessation unlike testicular atrophy

100% worth in my opinion. My wife has never been more attracted to my scent. Even get multiple mires from the supermarket cashiers. I've seen weak literature to back up my claim.

Fix your fricking health and lifestyle to fix your test. At your age you should not have low test. TRT is a method of last resort. You WILL become infertile, and this isn't just fearmongering or a threat--- it will shut down your body's endogenous production of testosterone and your sperm production. When you are shut down long enough, you can say goodbye to having it resume normally in the future, and you will be bound to TRT for the rest of your life and you will never have kids. Don't frick around with this bullshit, this is yet another example of wildly irresponsible profit-driven unscrupulous prescription in the medical world, and a bunch of lazy losers on this board will shill it all day long because they don't understand it
