Are you skinnyfat?
Yes. Tall, unathletic and with belly.
well what else were you expecting then
What should I do?
Roll for push ups
Should I do female push up instead? I just can't do required 50 or even 20 per set. Now I can't do even 1.
do those even do much?
i think 8 good pushups a day are much better
I don't know. I am here to cope. I don't really know how to exercise.
Don't do them all in one sitting, just do a bunch until it hurts. Repeat a couple of times daily (depending on whether you used your arms already that day). And most important of all, never give up. Pretend your life depends on it.
Today? 10 + 5
Tommorow? 10 + 7
Day after? 10 + 9
I am not sure doing so little makes any difference. Don't people do hundreds as warm up?
Ok. Same time tomorrow. But I feel like it's meaningless doing so little.
It's all relative to your strength moron. 5 push ups will be as taxing on a fatty as 100 would be on me.
It does. I got from barely being able to 10 pushups to doing 75 (3x25) in 2 months.
Consistency is key. Also do squats and planks. 3 months of daily exercise and you will notice significant difference.
This. Consistency is the breakfast of champions. Set a realistic number of push ups that makes you exert 80% effort. Eventually, it'll get easier and you can bump up the reps and make it more intense again. Just be patient, the results will come.
Well, my arms now hurt. And my legs still hurt from yesterday. I can't stop thinking how weak I am and how insignificant my exercise was compared to others. I feel silly too.
If it's a dull pain, you'll be fine in a day or two. Keep coming back and doing the push ups. It didn't happen overnight for the others you compare yourself to, it took consistent effort.
If it hurts it is significant. For you.
Imagine quitting your first summer job on the first day, because you are not making 500 usd per hour, and your 15 bucks seem insignificant.
Nah, I can bench 100 kilos but I’m tired after 30 pushups. People who do hundreds of them been doing them everyday for years and worked up to that.
>gives up tge firat day
Go on with the push ups you fricking pussy. Everyone sucks at first, you are not an exception.
I am literally unable to do more. I can't even rise my arm with a dumbbell in it.
Then go do something else quit wasting ur time then
>I am literally unable to do more
And that is how it should be. Just keep doing it every other day and always do it until failure. If your chest doesn't hurt 30h or so after the exercize you aren't pushing it hard enough.
I will keep that in mind.
>search how many i 'should' be doing
you're overthinknig it
do pushups till failure, now.
Next time do more.
The only copium you need is beating your limit.
If you fail, try again in three hours or so.
Do more and shut the frick up
The answer is you keep doing all the push-ups you can every day until you can do the normal amount.
Babies aren't swole, we are all born weak and shitty. It does not matter from where you start, only that keep on going in the quest to claim controll of oneself.
Do as many pushups as you can, and then the next time you train you do one more.
Just do 10 sets of that everyday until you get the hang of it
Simple as
> Do as many full push ups as you can
> Then start in the “up” position and lower yourself as many times as you can
> then do as many knee push ups as you can
> then same again with knee push ups - start in “up” position and lower yourself
Make sure you engage your core and tense your ass cheeks like big homie is gonna ram you. Record yourself and correct form.
In 1 month you’ll have 50 push ups guaranteed
Only do this once a day, only once each step till failure.
Sorry for samegay but next month when you’re not so DYEL you can add in some push up matrix like 1st = 1 set of 10 2nd = 2 sets of 10 and so on. End of month you be doin 300 push ups a day. Just make it fun into a game or some shit because you sound like a gamer
Fatfrick here who started doing wall pushups because of that "you CAN do pushups"-video, how long do I pause when my muscles ache? Should I just wait until it stops hurting completely or is it ok to ignore the pain when it's just a little? I've never done any muscle training at all so I'm not used to any exercise.

Pushup progression is fairly quick, aslong as you stick to doing them daily. Once you can do 30/40~ in a set, you dont get any major benefits, so go to harder variations. If all else fails, get a backpack and some plates, just make sure youre not giving yourself scoliosis
source: no bench at home so i resorted to weighted pushups and db press
Have mercy on me
