Yes, of course there will be exceptions from the rule, but are you telling me there aren't quantifiable differences in attitudes between a cohort born in 2000 and one born in 1980 controlling for things like nationality, culture and income? There definitely are due to differing life experiences. What makes these categories meaningful is millennials are people who were adolescence during 9/11, zoomers are people who don't have memories of the Internet not being an all pervasive thing in society, things like that.

I’m 24, and often mistaken for early 30s. Oh well. Since 18 I’ve been smoking off and on, binge drank heavily 18 and 19, worked overnight shifts, had two kids back to back, gained 30lbs when I was already fat, and my only irl socialization comes from my husband and every 6 months I see his family who are not fond of me.
