This seems to be the case. I eat veggies fruits and eggs and work pretty hard labor as a self employed tradie. I'm as strong as all of my peers on site and look nothing like the skinny vegans you see memed here. The only problem is you have to constantly choose to eat right to get enough natural protein and nutrients in, plus vitamins and high quality non onions bullshit protein shakes. If I don't eat right I feel weaker in a few days.
Typical diet for me, been OMAD for a while

greek yogurt is 15g protein per cup. cottage cheese is like 13g per half cup. add eggs and beans and you should have no issues finding protein.
