Literally this. I walk almost 10km daily + lifting and today i ate/ will eat:
Coffee (moka and unsugared) for breakfast cause i don’t like to go bloated/with full gut at Office
Lunch: bowl of pasta with pesto with 100gr of bresaola with parmesan pieces and salad
Dinner: after workout probabily a risotto with a steak and some fruits and some southern sweets sended northward by my grandmother
>and a culture that doesn't really tolerate fat people.
Only Puritan Americans are like that really. They are also the fattest people in the world, funnily enough. Look at any Italian nonna, otoh.
Are you crazy?
Italian poors are plenty fat.
Middle class and up are thin. They eat meat as a separate course, and restrict carb intake.
You can eat a cornetto for breakfast, as long as that's all the sweets you eat for the day.
There is a recent goyslop epidemic after EU pushing for HFCS and synthetic things and we are an aging population so on average boomers are fatter than us millenials or zoomers (or elders), and in the South they eat more and they have a car culture outside big cities (lack of public transports).
But if you are implying that our situation is the same as american or english one lol no way
I lived 3 years from 2012 to 15 between Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi and the situation was TRAGIC >inb4 le basketball people
No way. I would say on average in Alabama and Mississippi whites were fatter than blacks
Nice strawman, ok.
I went to business trips in other parts. >California
People were not fat as the southerners, but neither ''thin'' or ''slim''. The only ''fit'' people were the rich bay area liberals and the asians. >NYC
Literally every size of colors and shapes >Texan cities
Fat goblinos and fat whites everywhere >inb4 these are neither the ''best part of USA''
Ok, i never been in the ''deep Midwest'' or in the Pacific Northwest, but i don't think that some irrelevant 600k-1 million people State is the ''average America''
The point is that Italy and in general continental Europe are no way close to USA obesity epidemic.
We're ON THE WAY, however, Probabily at the point USA was in late 80s early 90s.
The only ''european'' Nation comparable to USA is the UK
we have espresso and cigarette for breakfast. our infrastructure and city planning is made to walk (i’ve been to america, i never walk there because of the distances). italian pizza has considerably less calories, fat and is tastier. carbs will make you feel full, too.
I’m starting to think obesity is less what you eat and how you eat. There’s no many habits and compulsions around eating. People who feel the need to have 3-4 full sit down meals never made sense to me
I've never left America, and I really don't know anything about Italy, but if I had to guess, it's probably a combination of healthier food (e.g., ancient grains that are easier to digest, less ingredients, higher quality ingredients, better food regulations, more homemade food, and more variety), less affordable food, and so they can't eat as much, more walking, more smoking, and less tolerance for fat people.
>better food regulations
This is slowly being crushed by EU laws.
They're destroying our traditional agriculture, fishing and even processing method. They're pushing hard, for some reason, for ''muh more corn syrup'' and ''muh more non EU olive oil''
Trying to push high fructose corn syrup is a red flag. One of the reasons why I shop at Whole Foods, despite the higher prices, is so that I don't have to worry about accidentally consuming that crap because they ban it from all products sold in their stores. It's like the West's elites are trying to harm us.
It’s almost like we rely on culinary knowledge that’s been passed on for millennia rather than eat at tourist reastaurants for a week straight
italy is more builtfat/skinnyfat territory

Everybody walks. Its the same in Paris, everyone is thin because despite eating bread and pasta daily, we gotta walk everywhere to catch the metro or just to go anywhere. Cars would be too expensive for the parking prices and its useless in the city. Cars are inconvenient.
Now go to Sicily. I lived there for a year and everyone is fat while I was losing weight like crazy. Why? Because its a mountainous and hilly island. If you're not a lazy frick and walk/bike everywhere you would be fit like gods. But people are lazy fricks, and its convenient to use cars or scooters. So despite Sicily being the perfect island to be fit, people there are fat as frick.
>I lived there for a year
LMFAO why americans like to go to live in the thirld world tier part of the country?
You see those Italian-mericans? A lot of them come from Sicily.
It's a meme, but back then it was a shithole... let's not go too deep about it, it just was.
People got on dat dere boat to Manhattan by the, well, boatload.
Now you have a ton of Americans that come back to rediscover their roots: still a shithole, but better than before.
>still a shithole, but better than before.
I know, i'm italian myself. ''Third world'' is an exagerated word, but it's eastern-euro/greece tier and idk how americans who are used to live literally in the WALL-E world can live in such a ''harsh'' enviroment

these distinctions are so dumb, there is no 'healthy country' and 'unhealthy country', you decide how your body looks with your own diet, if you saw thin people only it's what you were focused on.
we all know which food makes us fat and we all know which food is good for us, it's all about personal choice. >Diet is literally 90% carbs qnd sweets
you really don't know what people eat on a day-to-day basis. carbs and sweets are the most well-liked types of foods maybe, in the sense that we appreciate that type of food more.
i'm italian btw if you have any other questions.
i spent a month in an italian village and they walk everywhere. and its not just walking either, its walking up and down fricked up hills. my calves were on fire the first week i was there

Indeed. It's a matter of physics. You can eat 2000 kcal in Nutella, but if you burn 2001 kcal per day, you cannot get fat. You just can't.
by banging ur mom
Because carbs and sweets won't make you fat. Fat will.
isn't the author that guy who got blasted on that Joe rogan debate lmao
Who cares about Joe Rogan?
This explain so much why Danes are chads and Swedes are effeminate sissys
jesus christ how the frick were they slamming that much down a day?
What happened between 1995-2000?
Combo of better lifestyle in terms of activity ( they smoke and drink a lot tho) and a culture that doesn't really tolerate fat people.

t. American
they eat tons of fat and they are fat like every other westerner
Never been to Italy lol
you’re right, i’ve never been to a poor shithole village in italy where nobody can afford to be fat. but go into any city - and everyone is fat
Both those statements are true
>t. Went for a week and all the fats were tourists
They walk everywhere and play soccer everyday. Of course they will not get fat!
>t. lived in Italy for five years
They actually excercise by playing fifth tier football leagues.
Are you crazy?

what about... TWO cornettos
I eat EIGHT MACINE for breakfast with 2 cuppas of milk and a cofee
You gotta eat your secondo, not your secondo cornetto!
>American cope
What you eat at restaurants as a tourist isn’t what we eat daily regularily
>carbohydrate
>hydrate

>muscle needs water
>muscle burns calories just by existing
case closed
I dunno man you make this thread about Italy and Japan every day I think you should make a new kind of thread
everyone is thin & healthy
Over 50% of Italians are obese or overweight
That’s not what i see daily in the street
Idk the situation in the South and the deep South btw

Non refined carbs, buckwheat flours, whole wheat grains. They all have plenty of fibers for you to stay healthy and avoid the belly.

Most people skip breakfast (a coffe and a biscuit and you go) which is a made up meal invented by Kellogg's anyway.
Anyway there are plenty far but hard to see megafat people like in the us
because we don't eat processed goyslop
macronutrients dont matter
