This. I don´t think weed is harmful in moderation but weed is REALLY FRICKING NICE and it´s very easy to get hooked on it, as I have. Planning on quitting after Xmas day.

Nicotine doesn't grab me much either. I am, however, pretty much dependent on weed if I want to sleep. That aside, it is my preferred form of pain management for my tradie ass.

It's incomparable to cigarettes. For me it was the hardest drug to quit of all and I still need it a few times a year. Seems like I can't say much to change your mind at this point but it changed me for the worse and I'll never be the old me again after a decade of smoking. Would give a lot to undo this. Please research whether you have mental illness running in your family before starting because it can also speed up the process significantly.
How do I figure out if mental illness (especially like schizophrenia and stuff) run in my family? Sorry if this is a ratarded question.

Ofc not. I've seen buff dude's that were hitting it at least 3 times a day. Overall it depends how you react to it and how you fit it in your daily schedule.
I, for one, would smoke some 1-2 hours before bed, since it really makes me sleepy and slow.
In the end remember that this shit like all others should be done in moderation. Take some once every 2-3 days to get you to relax.

Definitely way safer that alcohol but I've seen a fair share of heavy users that ended up nuking half their brains and are barely functional

Because good K is a lot harder to come by, but its the best for an actual introspective and productive trip. Acid and shrooms are cool for enhancing stimulus like nature or a festival or something but that shit feels like its making you schizo. Ketamine is like taking a look at your life in 3rd person and being able to critically analyze it while also tripping hard
Nicotine addiction is more of a physical thing whereas weed is more psychological. When you get hooked on cigarettes you need them to feel right; with weed you never really have withdrawal or anything but it’s just so good that it’s easy to fall into a “damn, I want to get high right now” loop
Weed is better than alcohol but still not "good" for you per se. It's fine if you do it in moderation and are able to keep food cravings manageable
Alcohol is harmful for your health and fitness directly. The only concern with weed is how it impacts your motivation, diet, and sleep(weed is perceived as making you sleepy but depending on your brain chemistry it can keep you up with anxiety).
A lot of people are saying it's fine as long as you only do it in moderation. Honestly, you can smoke as much as you want as long as you can stay productive on it. However, if you have certain mental health conditions it can cause them to worsen and lead to paranoia and anxiety.

This, although its easy to fall into a trap of laziness and sitting on your ass doing nothing while stoned, but if you can resist that urge it won't harm you much. It's definitely very possible to be a regular weed smoker and still have a productive career, but this requires a modicum of discipline that not everyone has
I went on a few benders the past two months while unemployed. Literally no point in doing one unless you're going to do the other as well. Neither are good for you, but life is crap anyways

I was easing into suicide by doing dry fasts beforehand. Got up to 3 days at the longest before I remembered I could get high as balls. I didn't even enjoy the time intoxicated. I'm just happy I can't remember the last few months. Feels like time travel

Oddly enough this is where I am. I can't ONLY smoke weed anymore as I just don't enjoy it. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older but it's not the same. I only like smoking when I drink alcohol now. It makes the high a lot more intense.
after like a week of being zonked on one it loses the novelty. So yeah either compound the effects or just abstain so the hit next year will leave you on your ass. I don't get how people get genuinely addicted to drugs lol

Well first it depends if it's legal where you live. I know a lot of people like to ignore the legality of pot but I've seen people get evicted and kicked out of college for hash. Marijuana will also give you a very large appetite which could lead to weight gain. Lots of stoners tend to become overweight. Also smoking anything is bad for your lungs and makes your house smell like ass. Finally there's the opportunity cost of marijuana. You're going to be in a somewhat hallucinogenic state so don't expect to get much done while intoxicated, and depending on your age and rate of usage it could have negative effects on your intelligence and mental state.

I've never done drugs so I wouldn't know how difficult it is to avoid eating while having appetite cravings nor how strong the urge is.

Alcohol is pretty shit for your health but you shouldn't make choices based on whataboutism because by that logic alcohol is better than heroin or ecstasy and thus permissible. One final thing: i don't know how you plan to acquire your drugs but if you do so illegally be aware that the dealer may have put other more dangerous elements in your marijuana such as cocaine for a stronger high.

About the smoking, was just going to go for edibles to minimize lung damage, and THC is legal in my state. The hunger cravings may (in theory) be good since i’m extremely underweight for my height, and have almost no appetite naturally, but I dunno

not worth it. when i was 17-18 i was smoking a gram a week at the absolute most, more often every 2 weeks to a month, and I was fine. but if you can't control yourself it'll frick you up. same friends I had back then have been smoking every day for years now, burns all their money away and makes them completely unproductive, occasionally they go on tangents about your typical stoner shit, it's just a plant bro it's medicinal bro, etc etc. one of them has just quit because he'll get drug tested for his new job, he's 2 weeks sober but I don't know if he'll be able to keep it up.
however, the two people I've stopped talking to were way fricking worse. one of them smoked every day and being a stoner was his entire personality, it was literally all he talked about, when he wasn't working retail to get money he was spending that money smoking and doing nothing. the other one was all of the above except he didn't have a job and just used the lunch money he got from his parents, think even stole from them sometimes when they didn't want to give him any more, but he refused to get a job, he even took loads of nutmeg when he had no money because he was so desperate to get high. was completely addicted but deluded himself into thinking he wasn't because it's just a plant and it's not dangerous so it can't be addictive. I told him if he's not addicted to go a week without it, multiple times, and he failed within a day, then just made excuses. and then of course he moved onto harder drugs, ketamine, cocaine, ecstasy, etc. and he looked unhealthy as shit.
I think he's doing better now though, he posts on snapchat sometimes and he has decent job and looks a lot healthier and happier, so he probably managed to free himself.
moral of my rambling is, if you aren't careful you'll gradually start smoking more and more until you're dependent/addicted and you'll just make excuses until you're lazy and moronic with -10iq points and have throw all your money away. don't bother.

I would recommend against it. Right now I'm beating myself up for picking it up again. I gained a lot of weight, my memory went to shit, pretty sure it hurt my hairline, makes me feel like shit in the morning, sleep quality is ass and can't remember dreams. My lungs are fricked, I cough all the time and get out of breath easily, I wasted thousands of dollars, I have chronic dry eye, it gave me circles under my eyes, lines in my face and for all that I don't even have nice memories because I can't remember shit.
Smoke wax or eat edibles. Smoking flower is the harshest on your lungs, practically the same as smoking tobacco
I strictly smoke at night before bed to help my sleep. It has helped my gains immensely. Sleep is key to good muscle growth and development.
It is not a good idea unless you can keep it extremely frequent. THC is lipid soluble and will store in your fat tissues and can thus have effects later on for your body. Additionally, it has estrogenic compounds that will affect you similarly to beer.
I know some people who consume insane amounts of weed and are extremely outgoing, functional and productive people. I know some people who consume insane amounts of weed and are the biggest stoner losers you ever saw in your life. Like with most drugs it depends on the person. You just have to try it and find out how it works for you.
