Weight loss is pretty much a big fat lie if youre extremely overweight.

Weight loss is pretty much a big fat lie if you’re extremely overweight. I know I’ll get attacked by this board for saying this but you have to realize the people attacking me were already skinny to begin with and build muscle on an already skinny body. You will never look good after your weight lose if you started extremely overweight. Not only will your body never be like your favorite fitness influencer but you’ll age really bad.

This, in a way, it’s like a penalty for letting yourself get that way in the first place. This should serve as a warning for anyone letting themselves get fat.

However I do feel bad for kids whose parents get them obese from a young age where they don’t know any better and have no control over their diet. This should be classed as child abuse.

Indeed. My workmate has two children. The oldest, 12 year old girl, is ridiculously obese. She gets picked on at school and is depressed about it. But my workmate and his obese wife are loading her up with pizza and goyslop on a daily basis and obviously have no intentions of helping her get healthy.

Pretty much this. And let's not take away from the victory that OP's picture represents. Yes, the extra sagging skin is ugly but who gives a frick? He's still beat morbid obesity and is in a better place.

Maybe you wont look good, but at least you will be healthy and fit. Also surgery can fix all of that and will cost less in the long run than all your health problems and extra food.

Your body is a living image of your self respect. Yes, if you were a lazy gross piece of shit for 20 years and then decide to be healthy, you can't just undo 20 years of fricked. But if you stay healthy, your gross ass loose skin will eventually tighten up.

The moral of the story here is not "don't get fit" it's "don't get FAT."

    DUMBASS.

i heard they only cover it if you get weight loss surgery and anything after that you have to get your doctor to say the skin flaps are a danger to you in some way.

No they do not. I lost almost 200 pounds and had to pay out of pocket. Consulted multiple surgeons who had never seen it paid for by insurance and told me this is a common myth.

you will be fine unless you are crazy short. The skin flap people are/were 400+ pounds before we started losing. Being younger makes it possible to lose without flaps. I went from 300 to 220 when I was younger with no issue.

I've lost about 50-60 pounds over a roughly 6 year period so I didn't get any rapid weight loss side effects like loose skin (yet) but I've got around another 20-30 to before I'm fit-ish and then things I'm scared about isn't loose skin on the body its how it can subtly or not-so-subtly age the living frick out of your face. It keeps me up at night.

Yeah the before pic is a lot more attractive to women than the after pic.
He looks to have started 400 - 500 lbs and went to below 200. If he only lowered his weight to 250 - 300, he could have more female attention and be healthier than before.
Now he's at his healthiest, but the lease desirable he's ever been.

He has 60-100 lbs to lose. Excess skin is just subcutaneous fat. Nobody has the heart to tell him he has 80 lbs to lose. This is why guys who practice extended fasting have none since they know they need to be 180 not 240.

You skinny guys just don’t get the whole purpose of losing weight in the first place. We want to go to the beach like everyone else. Even if we get surgery, people will still look at our bodies with disgust.

is the end result still a much better alternative than
        >continuing to look like a fat disgusting shit
        >getting diabetes and a myriad of other health problems starting from your 20/30's from being, always feeling like shit, being a physical burden to yourself and everyone around you at all times
        yes?
then shut the frick up and stop complaining, the potential of what could have been if you didn't become a fat frick is irrelevant because we are not in that timeline

People can do whatever they want who cares? If you let the disgust of others impede your own well being then you're already too deep into shit. You have a right to be comfortable. Grown man babies will always try to bully people and enforce themselves on others. The trick to life is to not allow them to. They're going to seethe if you're confident in your loose skin because it does not get the result they want.

If you've been morbidly obese your whole life your motivation should be not fricking dying at 35, not attaining a sexy beach body. Yeah there are consequences for treating your body like shit for 20 years that can't be easily reversed in 2-3. Deal with it or go die, fatso.

The world outside isn't social media. You can have scars, loose skin, all sorts of horrible things and still do what you desire. It's absurd to live your life in a fantasy of looking at it through an online lense. You don't need social media. You don't need to feel ugly or inadequate. You're enough.

You’re right. Yes their body is permanently damaged both inside and out even if they spend hundreds of thousands on surgeries, but it’s still healthier to lose the weight.
