Was fat since I was toddler, now I'm thin and built in my 20s but look like OP. Tell me IST is this this my fault? I had a guy tell me in another thread that it was my fault I wasn't refusing food and working out to lose the weight as a child, and that 'waiting until I was an adult' was me avoiding responsiblity.

No, that's what a lot of these "just don't get fat" morons don't understand.
For 90% it started in childhood because they had guardians that utterly failed them.
Feminism and it's consequences have been a disaster for the human race.

I was in a similar situation, but once you're old enough to gain self awareness and autonomy, so for a male in his teens, it becomes our fault if we don't fix it.

Those are disingenuous troll replies. It's not your fault at all, your fat frick parents had a duty of care to raise you right and you didn't. The fact you've lost it now is a sign you're the better person. The loose skin sucks but depending on your age it might improve over time.

That much will probably not completely fade but it absolutely does to an extent after a few years. A buddy of mine was fat as frick and lost almost half his body weight and had a lot of loose skin for a while but it eventually went away.

The loose skin can be removed through extended EXTREME fasting.

          >"Autophagy is the body's way of cleaning out damaged cells, in order to regenerate newer, healthier cells, "

that's kind of open ended, that doesn't mean it sees loose skin as damaged, your body may not even notice it there or that it's useless. Imagine getting leg lengthening surgery, do you think fasting would shrink the bone back to it's natural state? Lastly, I've been fasting for 8 years, I still have the same stretch marks I've had for 13 years since I lost weight, so fasting never cured that & my body probably doesn't see those stretch marks as a problem. So in conclusion, I don't think you & a lot of people know what autophagy really is and does.

If it works for obese it would work the same for someone with less weight, fasting will lead to autophagy and breakdown of the skin for protein and shit - probably takes really long though since skin is a major organ and you'll probably most of your muscle too

There is no such thing as losing weight to quickly. The elastic period of your skin is limited to the teen tears and every year over 20 it goes away. Surgery is the only cure for an adult who was force fed by genuine ham planet moms and grandmas in adolescence which is a good 80% of the fat population today.

I think <250lbs is the cutoff for when you can lose weight and NOT have loose skin (depending on height). Once you reach the 300s, you've officially reached the point of no return aesthetically speaking.

I'm going from 260 to 175. Finally got to 205 today. Haven't touched a barbell in months tbh, just yoga and almost every day and maybe running or calisthenics/dumbbells once a week. This is the easiest it has ever been. When you're training with the barbell, idk maybe it's a mindset thing but you're chasing gains intuitively. I don't even want cheat meals like this. I just want this shit to be over with. Have noticed my skin isn't having issues either.

For some reason I feel like since I gained the 35 back so fast, it won't choose my muscle first, until i get to 200 at least. I just like to eat man, I've had like 3 cheat meals already, but I haven't "had to get back to dieting" because I have no set date, well didn't. I fixed that problem

So I have to be done by January for the "3 month maintenance" quota bullshit they want fat morons who didn't actually learn nutrition and just fasted to be on. Basically. I'd say if you're around the 200-230 mark you'll be fine but otherwise it's not worth it. Face is by far the biggest thing that gets fricked over when you lose a huge amount of weight - you age 10 years easily. Elastin is completely gone and the nasolabialfolds are protruded because you stretched the skin too much.
Overall it's not worth losing weight if you're past that 300 barrier unless you're like 6'5"-6'7".

this is the most moronic shit I've read in a while. Extreme weight loss can absolutely lead to aesthetic issues, no denying that, but every other aspect of your life will improve. You will live longer, feel better, and be more productive after losing the weight. Losing weight is always worth it if for no other reason that it de ages your feelings of physical exertion and daily function.

I used to weigh 200lbs (5'11.5") and I'm now 185lbs. If I continue to lose weight (my goal is 155lbs - 165lbs) will I have noticeable loose skin?

I was 185lbs about 6 months ago and am now 135lbs (also I’m 5’6”), and I have no loose skin yet after that 50lbs loss. I have stretch marks, but no loose skin. I’m notably shorter than you so me losing 50lbs is a much bigger ratio of total body weight lost compared to you losing 50lbs, and your lowest goal weight is 45lbs less than your starting weight so unless you have supremely shit genetics then you should be perfectly fine.

There is a point on the weight scale where it simply starts to be over once you hit it. Depending on your height i would guess it is around 265 lbs / 120 kg

I would say it also depends on bodyfat percentage as well and age. There are obviously 265lb specimens of human beings.

If it goes down a lot with age this may seem depressing but on the flipside would mean that all that sagginess you see in many older people could be avoided for much longer as long as you never get overly fat.

I know it's bait but I must reinforce to myself to strangers online that the fact that I weighed almost 500 pounds before I was legally an adult isn't my fault so I can some what feel better about myself even though I still have 40 more pounds to lose and it clearly won't change mental state and will not make me look good which is the only reason I do it aside from the gym is fun.
