What are some good ways to lose weight/diet without exercising?

Yes clown on me, but I fricking hate exercise. It feels like such a waste of time. If I go on a hike or a camping trip then I'm willing to exert myself pretty hard but I'm not going to force myself to run around the same 4 blocks every day or, worse, run in place for an hour.
Just like 10 pounds would be nice, im not that heavy. Diets, substances, advice, anything other then exercise or tape worms.

    Calculate TDEE online

    Eat 500 calorie deficit

Track everything you eat trough scale and calorie counting app

    You are welcome

Thanks. Sadly I think I've already been doing that for the last year or two (unless the calorie labels on everything is a lie) and nothing has changed. Maybe somethings holding my body back

You will 100% lose weight in a caloric deficit, anything else is physically impossible, there is a reason why people starve.
TDEE online calculations are just averages, if you aren't losing weight you either count calories incorrectly or your body just burns less than average. Lower your calories a bit more untill you start losing weight.

I'll give it a shot. It says my daily caloric needs should be 2600 and most days I easily eat below 2000. Maybe the days where I eat more add up more then I thought

I would also recommend doing intermittent fasting as well. i.e. eat within an 8hr window and fast for 16, eat in a 10hr window, fast for 14, or etc...

Running a calorie deficit and not losing weight would violate the laws of physics. Your body is not holding back. Youre doing something wrong.

Vaping nicotine makes you less hungry.
You can stop it and workout when your weight becomes normal.
Usually Zero carbs diets are easier to follow.

In general spending day on a chair is cancer.
Try to at least spend hour on walks, that's doable for everyone, no matter how fat.

The key is perseverance, as usual.

I'm not overweight (yet) but I'd really like to keep it off before I off myself so I can be happy while I'm still here.
I just hate wasting time and walking/running for no reason makes me irrationally angry

Tell your mind not to eat and you won't eat. You have the power to do everything and anything you want for whatever reason. It is up to you to use your free will to change your habits. Start programing your mind to eat less until you get used to it.

It's easier to control your desires, and enjoy being hungry, than it is to control your actions while your desires resist you.

Losing fat is almost entirely due to diet. Gaining muscle is almost entirely due to physical exercise.

Simply eat less. but if you want more helpful advice:
    >eat food that’s filling but low in calories (vegetables, meat and drink water)
    >don’t do cheat meals, not until you’ve reached your goal at least but preferably never.
    >if you want to treat yourself eat stuff like fruit, dark chocolate or seaweed chips.
    >don’t do huge meals, especially since you’re not working out. A meal should be about a plate max and maybe even skip breakfast if you want.

Do this and you should be fine.

Thanks ill take this into consideration. I already skip breakfast and sometimes lunch and my meals normally not bigger then a bowl of ramen with a carrot in it. Those cheat meals and definitely part of what does me in. Why do I have to be a fatass about food

Lucky for you, exercise isn't the key factor losing weight. CICO is the answer here. There are some ways to reduce calorie intake that are easy low hanging fruit. Cut out any drinks beside water for one. This is easy to do because even if you're craving a soda, you can extinguish the urges entirely with a big glass of water. Eating is a bit harder because all food has calories, but making lots of little reductions here and there can add up without being too uncomfortable. Things like using a bit less oil when cooking, swapping regular products for low calorie alternatives. Exercise can help your efforts too, but it doesn't have to be gruelling. A pound of fat is 3600 calories, so burning just 100 calories per day is nearly a pound of fat per month, 10 pounds of fat in a year. Taking a 20 minute stroll every day over a decade can make a difference of 100 pounds. Small changes are good because they're easier to implement and integrate permanently into your habits than major changes, so over the long run they're more likely to be successful than drastic measures. Someone in your situation who doesn't have an urgent need to drop weight is in a very good position to take this approach.

Yes you can I've done it. Though I would not recommend it since it can lead to long-term heath problems. (I have Acid Reflux issues)

You eat once a day and keep they calories low.

join a group/team activity that requires fairly significant exercise. think local recreational sports league, where its actually fun.

do physically tough yard work, enough to really burn calories.

if you just eat less, you'll shrivel into a weak little manlet who is technically at "ideal weight" but just a stick figure.

you have to exercise. find a way.

You dont need to exercise to lose weight, and really it doesn't have a huge impact anyway.

Laws of thermodynamics. Your body uses energy to function. A calorie is a unit of energy. If you are average male yohr body uses between 1800 - 2200 calories a day to sit in a couch just functioning. This is called your BMR (basal metabolic rate)
If you consume more energy than your body uses, it will be stored. If you consume less energy than your body uses, your body will burn fat or muscle to make the difference.

It is that straight forward. Exercise can cause you to burn more calories, but not a whole lot more than youd think. Gaining muscle can increase your bmr, and that can make a big difference day to day, but youre still back to square one where tou *still* need to eat less calories than your body is using, and your body is quite likely to crave if you run a deficit, so its gonna be difficult regardless. So in sum

    1. It is more diet than exercise.
    2. Its gonna be hard regardless if exercise.
    3. Put down the spoon.
    4. Pro tips, eliminate simple carbs and refined sugars, eat complex carbs and high quality protein, and this can do a frick tonne to curb your appetite.
Sugars and simple carbs frick the shit out of your bodies processes for being hungry and measuring food intake.

      not so fast buddy.
i agree that food intake is important, but exercise has tons of benefits outside of just losing weight. You have a cardiovascular system, and it needs to be worked.

Yes but I am very strictly talking losing weight.
We could write libraries of tomes of the benefits of exercise. But specifically pertaining to ops "how do I lose weight" diet is inescapably the most central part of it.

good news, simply eating less food is way more effective than exercise anyways

but don't just blindly trust that you're eating correctly. if you call a handful of nuts a "serving" you're probably off in your estimate by 100 cals minimum, just as an example

autistically weigh your food and track your calories FOR AT LEAST A WEEK just so you can get an idea of how bad your estimates are. You can quit after that, it will probably humble you. Then use a TDEE calculator online and just eat less than the amount it spits out at you

    no exercise required
