why do you need synthetic drugs to make you feel good? Sounds like there are other issues in your life you are not coping with or that need addressed. Try something new out of the ordinary that you wouldn't normally do, maybe go to a pet shop or go on a hike. Keep your mind busy

here come all the normies telling people with mental illness to just go exercise or something.
And then they become enraged when you tell them you already do and them they tell you that just need to try harder, get more sunlight and usually some bullshit about pickles and gut bacteria

I went to a therapist and it helped tremendously. Literally life changing.
Why does that enrage you so much?
Because you think I should have cured myself by trying memes spouted by normies?
          >just take magnesium
          >just go for a walk
          >just stop being anxious
          >just, idk, like take dancing lessons or something

If you're slightly on edge, not sufficient for people who feel like they're in a life or death situation when going to the grocery store

If you are going to a therapist you don’t have any real problems causing your anxiety, you are just a b***h normie.

none of those things cures mental illness tho.
They might make normies feel better if they're having a bad day is all.
But normies think clinical depression is the same as being sad because your dog died and clinical anxiety is the same as being nervous before a job interview when in reality they often have nothing to do with emotions caused by external factors.

        I don’t think you understand “normie” means…

          Anonymous

so I guess you define normie and person with mental problems who seeks therapy instead of taking some Walmart supplement and not jacking off for 90 days like LE BASED IST INCEL LOSER

Uh no… a normie is literally a person who follows every social norm and does not go against the majority of the population with any of their views/practices. If you stopped sperging out so much and used your brain you might have been able to logically conclude that, but then again you are definitely a normie so it makes sense why you’d lack the ability to think on your own

              Anonymous

              that's nice kid.
But for the purposes of this thread, "normie" is being used as person without mental illness.
So you can sperg out about your incel glossary definitions elsewhere

None of them are fully safe. They all carry risks especially if used irresponsibly. The point is if the risk is worth the benefit and if you can be responsible with them?

I would say phenibut if you're American for the sole reason that it's easy to obtain and cheaper than anxiolytics regulated in the US. You could also try to see a psych and try pregabalin or gabapentin off label. Last there are benzodiazepines but those are highly addictive and dangerous and can take years to taper off and get back to normal.

have you started with seemingly obvious ones which nobody wants to do
    -stop drinking alcohol
    -stop drinking coffee
    -stop using recreational drugs
-regular daily exercise (literally do few pushups, some squats and go for a brisk walk)
    -take some magnesium
    ?
if yes to all, then you are fricked. there are no safe psych meds. Also, you won't get your benzo perscription without side of ssri's

push ups and squats irrelevant. Just go for walks
      >-take some magnesium
      This works

but i guess OP's anxiety is way worse than normal recs. Just try l theanine

Cutting out seed oils, processed foods and stimulants got rid of 90% of my OCD and anxiety more and more over the course of almost 2 years. There were few other changes, I was generally eating and doing the same things other than that. I even lost my fear of heights and the nausea and vertigo I would get when at heights.

i've been getting psych meds recommended for years (while being against it), i always research and it basically doesn't exist, every med has the same garbage sides with the same severity, basically all of them makes you hungry and fat, i'm convinced they mostly shove off-label crap into everybody's face because the side effects of every other thing become mainstream knowledge at some point leading people to refuse it, so they switch it up all the time.

i've done and do all the dumb IST advice but none of it actually changes your life and past if its bad enough, my advice is just to find a therapist and have specific goals in mind to discuss and really try to take initiative on changing your life, with (preferably his) help from that.
think about patterns in your thinking and whether they serve you well or not and discuss them in sessions, write things down if necessary

Not everyone gets fat on SSRIs and if you do start gaining literally just eat less or work it off. You can control it.

On Zoloft and never gained from it. Tons of fit people are on SSRIs.

Try St. John's wort. It's like SSRI but you don't give money to israelites. Probably as useless as SSRIs though if we're been honest, but people find comforting the "muh serotonin imbalance" meme so..

Microdose shrooms. Modulates serotonin but doesnt make you fat. Also you need to untie the knots in your head. Asking for help is not the emd of tye world, and you might realize that you dont have to be alone with your problems

    >What are the safest/best anti anxiety meds?
There are none. The fact that your asking and have muh anxiety tells me that you’re a gullible normie that will fall for the trap and fry your brain with drugs to treat imaginary problems. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to you. It’s a terrible fate

    Sunlight and walking

Don’t believe me? Get 15 minutes of sunlight immediately when you wake up and go for a long walk with no headphones or anything every day.

You’ll feel better in a few weeks.

      >I dont have mental illness but let me tell you how this thing I like to do cures mental illness.
Also what makes you think people with mental problems dont go outside for walk?
There's this crazy guy in my town who literally walks around all day every day from morning to to night. Been doing it for years.
I suppose you'll say he's just doing it wrong or not trying hard enough.

Honestly anon it's just experience that gets rid of anxiety. But keep thinking to yourself "what's the worse that can happen?" and you'll realise that there's not actually a lot besides words and someone maybe disliking you, just gg no re go next.
    >autistically mentioned that I don't do shit at my current job and the hiring manager hired me for my honestly and bluntness
Realistically the things we worry about aren't even on the other people's mind. How often do you think "that person looks weird?" it's not a lot and others think the same way.

Im 32, had crippling anxiety for most of my life.

Xanax works, but it'll also rob you of positive emotions and they're addictive. Used to be on Klonopin and would only take a Xanax if I was having a really bad one.

Through therapy, changing bad habits and reading a few books about 99% of my anxiety is gone and only a few select things (like thinking I impregnated someone) trigger an attack, and with breathing and reasoning I can calm down in a fraction of the time I used to.

Go to therapy, read The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Frick and then The Power of Now. Benzos are just a bandaid.
