Can you post some local israelitegle maps coordinates for your archeological dig brother? I want to plan out how i can meetup with you at your local airport or train station by where you live so we can lift rocks and metal together in the pit.
I'd post it but I always get "post body" in responses because my setup is pretty nice and my body doesn't match...feels bad bros. give me another year or two and I'll be brave
barbell/dumbbells/cable machine/lat pulldown/leg extension and leg curl machine is all I ever used at the commercial gym tbh and I can fit all of that into my basement just fine
you just have to pay for the quality. no commercial gyms around me have ohio power bars or Thompson fat pads. I agree with the super niche stuff like a cybex lateral raise machine though or the variety with stuff like 3 different hack squat machines, that's the big downside to a home gym
Yes, my home gym has better quality barbells and power-rack than the local gym, but the local gym has like 100+ machines and cable stations which cost like $5k - $10k each and have a quality that you just cant find for home gym unless youre willing to go spend half a million dollars on a home gym with a huge amount of space taken up
lol ok and? you absolutely do not need machines to isolate any muscle. i need you to tell me even 1 machine that i could not substitute with free weights to a reasonable level. just one.
name some cable exercises you can't replicate with a bench and dumbbells. cables are useful, but the idea you can't get "Extra" gains without them are silly...or just wrong.
Adjustable dumbbells to 90lbs
Smith machine, squat rack, and cables
Shitty treadmill that goes from .6 to 8mph . The auto incline on it sucks though.
I live in Alaska. Don't even ask about how much this cost to ship up truthfully it was like paying for a gym membership up here for a year or 2 and my kids will be able to use it so it's worth it.
Anon, in order to show our superiority we must be better at grammar. Use "nor" in place of "or" when you start with "neither." Keep fighting the good fight
Imagine slapping her butt and her turning around to call you a pervert and proceeds to go to management to tell on you and then getting banned from the gym.
I lift in a basement near a window which leaks waters constantly. Everything is covered in cobwebs and spiders. The weights are all rusty and have been sitting on carpet which now has weight-shaped rust stains all over it. I couldn't ask for a better gym.
It looks fine. Anyone use adjustable dumbbells? Give recs. I imagine they're mostly the same if not for price. Looking to snag some used ones on marketplace or some shit.
Something that never fails to amaze me about these threads is almost no home gyms are either clean or well lit or have more than a single pair of 25s. There ARE rare exceptions. I don't even consider myself strong as I only did 8 reps at 195 squat this morning and it's VERY rare to see a home gym where I could do 195.
Until 18 I lived with parents and my 2 brothers in studio, so everything was in one room. Then shared room in college. Now I have my own room in a shared apartmant, so that's progress, but it's still one room where I sleep, workout, homeoffice, eat, everything. I'm fascinated by dedicated bedrooms, I want one one day, but the rent would ruin me right now.

My grandpa wasn't a moron so I've always lived reasonably well off from his wealth. Even when I was younger and I lived with my family together in a medium sized house we didn't really use "shared" spaces that much besides for cooking/eating. I'm not humble bragging or flexing or whatever Im just trying to show that even with additional space people will still usually prefer privacy and having their own space. I live in (my) 2-room apartment (by myself) and it still basically feels like having a big bedroom, just spread across the living room and actual sleep room. You really aren't missing much if you already have your privacy

Also, on smaller apartments it's very obvious when it wasn't designed by an actual architect (aka rushed cheap garbage) like on the vid. I can almost assure you there's a toilet pointing straight into the kitchen based only on seeing the shit walk flow from having the fridge right outside the bedroom door. Just imagine the food smell permeating into the bed sheets, not to mention the actual fridge noise at night. Though there's so little thought put into it it's probably in a shitty noisy area anyway so the fridge noise at night might be the least noisy thing there. >t.architect

Everybody was there? Anon, that's unhealthy for the mind. I bet your parents stopped having sex when the older son turned 3yo.
Think positive, but you you need also sacrifice a bit. Get out of town. Go to some suburb. You can find more room there for the same price or even less. I don't know what you do for living but if working onsite and not from home, check for a place near public transport for commuting easily.
doing gods work, just have to stomp the ones with the stray runner genes so they'll always stay in the corners and off the roof/floors, spider eugenics
>average home gym enthusiast
i'm already dreading summer temps
Why did you set up a homegym at a roman excavation site

Homegymcels will never make it
You lack access to commercial gym quality machines and cables that are what cause that "extra" gains required to look like you lift
The whole "making it" on minimalist barbell only routines is a myth
barbell/dumbbells/cable machine/lat pulldown/leg extension and leg curl machine is all I ever used at the commercial gym tbh and I can fit all of that into my basement just fine
Its not the same quality though and you know exactly what I mean.
you just have to pay for the quality. no commercial gyms around me have ohio power bars or Thompson fat pads. I agree with the super niche stuff like a cybex lateral raise machine though or the variety with stuff like 3 different hack squat machines, that's the big downside to a home gym

No basements here on the Texas coast, so my shit is in the garage. I have this plus a bench and some DBs.
Liveleak tier setup, why not just buy a full cage?
It folds away so we can fit our vehicles in. Honestly I'd prefer a full cage but the roof is low and this let's us square everything away.
The folding is a nice idea. I thought it was static and you removed the backside just to save on space.
works great for crucifixions too when folded up
what's with the wires? CBT?
maybe he knows how to dump a weight properly? those are my favorite type of racks.
Hey Chris how's the wife and two kids?
This is actually really cool anon.
I may steal this idea in the future.

Even the ass can be found sometimes in my homegym.
The best thing you can buy are adjustable cables with stack weights.

Why do you allow women into your gym?
Aren't you concerned that she will leave period blood, smegma, and other female filth all over your gym? Gross.

Id say its much more common to have 2.5s than two sets of plates.
It's a bit tight but I can squat and deadlift so it's fine.
Another angle
What do you play on that TV while you work out?
that's a man
Is this one a man?
I don't give a shit if she's 70. I'll break that fricking hip. Puts young fat girls to shame

Anything I want really, it's connected via HDMI to my PC that's in the living room. Usually just watch Youtube or movies while working out
>posting something that will never be seen in a home gym
Girl is nice but I envy that bedroom. I can't imagine being so rich to have room dedicated just for sleeping and fricking.

minimal setup, been going like this for 10 months and its pretty good, once a week i take the rings outside and do a upper body routine
