What exercise routine should I follow if my goal is to maximize longevity?

What exercise routine should I follow if my goal is to maximize longevity? Seeing my grandparents losing their ability broke my heart and they're not willing to do any exercise. I don't want that for myself or my parents

lifestyle is all that matters. My grandpa is a black belt in karate and could kick your ass, your dads ass, and your grandpas ass all at the same time.

Kinesthenics to preserve fast twitch muscle fiber. Regular resistance training for bone density. Cardio for an oxygenated brain. Look into how the brain atrophies as you age. It’s horrifying. Maximizing blood flow to the brain helps keep your brain young.

A body weight routine and incline cardio. The societies known for longevity are all in hilly/mountainous regions where people regularly walk up and down hill carrying small loads. The also tend to get most of their calories from whole carbs sources, barley, sweet potatoes, with minimal protein.

Think about the shit that kills old people:

    >Falling, breaking a hip, then being unable to get out of bed, developing an infection, falling again, breaking more shit, not being able to move hardly ever, dying
    >Heart attack/stroke
    >Diabetes
    >Cancer

    So ideally:
    >Decent strength training with loads on skeleton to increase bone density
    >Lots of cardio for the heart and also to regulate glucose levels
    >Mobility/balance so you don't fall and can keep doing normal stuff as you agr

My grandparents (the pair that's still alive as of now) work.
The most important thing is having something to work towards, mentally or spiritually. If it's a perpetual goal, even better, since you won't rest, until you've achieved it.
Grandmother's fat, sits in front of her pc, still active in her field of academics. goes for a walk (tho, short) two-three times a day. Goes to swim an hour EVERY night, at the local pool.
Grandfather is...active. Has a bigger garden than what he actually can manage, so there is ALWAYS stuff to work on. Goes for a mile walk twice a day ( went with the dog before, but the poor animal died not long after hitting 15), mows the lawn, trims trees, harvests fruits, waters the plants, weeds the flowerbeds, goes for the swim with granma.... he's much, much fitter (though a bit overweight as well). Recently he realized his phone counts his steps, so now he carries it everywhere and makes sure he hits 10k every day. He also used to run an hour every day until his 60th birthday (where he decided to stop due to more frequent leg pains).
He is 84, she is 81.

Go, take your daily walks. It pays off.
