I'm addicted to the taste of salmon. I usually bake it, all you need is salt and pepper but if you're feeling fancy you can drizzle miso butter or teriyaki sauce on it once it's done cooking.

        >raw salmon
Enjoy your parasites. There’s a reason sushi chefs don’t eat it raw.

the reason they didnt is that salmon in japan always has parasites
once salmon from norway was introduced it took a while to catch on due to prior bias but its an option in japan these days
salmon from the store is usually frozen for a while and its about a 7 day minimum to be considered safe for sashimi even for wild caught

Just dont eat it everyday and you'll be fine. Which is also a tip everyone should do with every food.

i've had canned salmon before and wasnt a huge fan, is the version in a bag similar? i find that the packets of tuna have less of the canned taste so it might be worth trying again

The ones in the bags are way better in my opinion. I hate canned salmon. It makes me want to gag. I'd legit go throughout the day dreading the fact that I had to eat canned salmon. The ones in the packets are much more appetizing for whatever reason. The lemon and chive flavored ones are also really good. And even the plain pink salmon ones are edible. But after a while I got sick of those too and started mixing in a little bit of wienertail sauce. But nothing beats smoked salmon fillets. That's legit one of the best things you could ever eat. I just wish it wasn't so fricking expensive.

Canned salmon is pretty cool if you make fried patties

Most days. Lunch is a tin of deens in olive oil dumped out on to apiece of bread or a tuna mayo sandwich. Grilled salmon for dinner once a week. Cod or hake once a week for dinner, either deep fried, poached, steamed or baked. Monkfish now and again when I fancy making monkfish curry. Prawns bi-weekly, muscles or oysters once a month, smoked herring /kippers once a month. Smoked salmon on my scrambled eggs maybe 10% of the time. Eating out generally go for scallops or prawns starter if they have that. But of Sole if the fish counter has some now and again. Love me fish.

all very nice choices, though, ive never had monkfish before though. i should try it!

Take some cilantro now and again to get the mercury outta ya' if your diet is mostly fish.

is there anything other than cilantro that works? im allergic sadly which is a shame because i love cumin

I’m a pescatarian who eats salmon 3-4 days a week and tuna a couple. I blacken the salmon on an iron skillet with salt and pepper and some lemon afterwards. I need some more varied fish recipes bros

for salmon some of my recipes are:
baked with a glaze of garlic onions sauce
baked with a topping of sweet pickled mustard seeds
pan seared with a lemon/garlic butter sauce
pan seared with flavored mayonaise (i prefer garlic but horseradish is nice too)
tuna i usually have with spicy mayo (seasoned mentaiko in mayonaise) regardless if i cook it or not
sometimes i use a yogurt dill sauce but i think thats a personal preference since i like the taste of fresh dill
tuna salad rice "sandwich" (picrel) is one of my all time favorite recipes but ive been restricting carbs so its a treat. its amazing for a packed lunch, i made it all the time in uni since its so cheap and delicious
pepper crusted tuna tataki with ponzu sauce is also a banger
i hope this gives you some ideas
