I mean it's both, you should be getting 10k steps a day if you aren't already and you should be doing cardio regularly, but if for some reason you have to only pick one then walking cause it's better on your joints.
i miss 2013 fitness. not these 2023 fat prostitutes stuffing themselves into shapewear like a hotdog, just full on bloatmaxxing and wearing unlaced air jordans
Off topic but you could say the same about men. gif related

>I don't have the energy for both
Then walk 10k steps a day and do something to get your heartrate up every day, it doesn't have to be cardio walking and lifting weights is a very good combo, it's what I do, lift then go for a comfy nightwalk, sometimes I break into a bit of a jog when on a nightwalk just to get my heartrate up, it's pretty good.

The late '00s to mid 2010's lifting culture was so much fun
If you run with a 3 strides per second pace for an hour thats 10,800 'steps' that recuit more muscles and destroy your bones and ligaments, which is then being repaired, so more energy spent.
It's because we see you as the type of person to not do anything UNTIL you're done saving up for a magic bullet. The steps you can do now. An hour of cardio you could do now. Instead you're wasting away any progress as if each sedentary moment is getting you closer to a financial goal.
At least, that's the image you project. You have exercised daily since then, right?
Bros. I saw a muscle girl today and approached her. She wasnt interested but the pain of being rejected is better than the pain of potentially missing out.
She had a very sharp Native American looking face even though she was definitely Hispanic. She was 175 feet about. Had massive delts and a smooth yet firm stomach the kind you want to snort cocaine off of. Oh and a curvaceous backside.
the right order is: >stairs climbing >cycling >walking >running >static machines on gym
reason behind running being so low is cuz it's the most injurable one, if it's not your knees, then it's shin splits, if it's not shin splits then there is always something else, i'd say running is only good on short distances like 3-5km max 3x a week
Sprinting beats running every time. It's a more intense workout but it's also shorter so you're not tearing up your joints for hours at a time like with distance running.
low iq comment. fatties like stair climbing because they can do an easy workout for 20 minutes and convince themselves they've done ""cardio"". you aren't fit unless you can run for 30 minutes plus
Are you moronic? I've never seen a fat person on the stairmaster because they can't even get on it. They use bikes, ellipticals, and treadmills. Admit the stairmaster is the cardio of chads and stacies.
The true cardio of chads is sprinting. >only 15-20 seconds of max effort each time >takes less than 30 minutes to do a set of 4-5 >shoots your heartrate up >improves your overall cardio endurance more than any other cardio >totally wipes out your glycogen stores >hormonally preps your body for whole-body muscle repair >doesn't leave you a hungry skeleton >doesn't wreck your joints because it's done in small bursts with long rest periods
Take the sprinting pill.
As a skinny fat moron after lifting I walk/run 5km at a pace of 7km on the curved mill, and have a 3km roundtrip walk home. Ever sincer going to this gym and averaging +-8km walking a day the fat has been disappearing much faster, idk how though or if it would work for you
15-20 second sprints to failure with 5+ minute rest periods. You'll be done in like 20 minutes and be wiped out for the day, having used up all your glycogen and then some.
ur basically asking, whats better for weight loss, walking for 2 hours, or 1 hours of cardio.
That would depend on how fast you go during that hour of cardio.
Gotta be walking. First 3 years of college I walked an average of 5 to 8 miles 5 days a week then maybe a couple miles on the weekend. I was still hitting the gym but I found it impossible to gain weight. I didn't do any cardio because I had no time. Then I lucked out my first semester of my senior year. I got a car and all my classes were in on 2 days. My walking dropped to maybe 3 miles twice a week. Because I had a lot more time ibstarted doing an hour of cardio. Did bike, row, run, steps, jumprope, 6 times a week. It didn't help. I put on weight. Like pure fat. I couldn't figure it out a d I thought there was something wrong. In two years I went from maybe 12% bf to 18% bf. Then I get a job at a ware house for a out a year. Walking 5 miles 5 days aweek again. I'm down to my college weight.
I thinkncardio is important but now I male a serious effort to walk minimum 30 miles a week. Half those with a 38 lb pack. It will help a lot
They're all trade offs there isn't really a best.
Shit knees swim
Shit shouldered run
Neither are shit row
Both are shit bike/elliptical
Shit feet don't walk
Shit elbows don't row
I think the ideal way to do it though is to alternate cardio and walking. So you can push your limits and get the vascular benefits while also having days you can recover and don't have to worry about tendons and joints all that much.
Regardless of which two similarly valuable options are given to you, pick one that let's you save more time. Stuff like jumping rope is good at that. Also bulgarian splits help with cardio quite a bit.
I want her to wrestle me. I want it to be hot. I want it to be sweaty. I want it to be disgusting.
I mean it's both, you should be getting 10k steps a day if you aren't already and you should be doing cardio regularly, but if for some reason you have to only pick one then walking cause it's better on your joints.
Go vegan and smoke crack, you'll be lean in weeks
I miss having a gf with abs

What do you think the fat you're trying to lose is?
if you do 1 hour of cardio you will rack up way more than 10k steps
I miss the old SOVL of the site. After the regrettable 20th anniversary. It's clear IST its dead
The late '00s to mid 2010's lifting culture was so much fun

According to the trolls on IST, 10k steps....they keep trying to fud me out of saving up for a stairmaster
Thinking of getting one to get 10k steps in on with.
Based.
It will help you get shredded and lean in less than a month, if you use it regularly. So expensive at 5000 though

Just go up and down the fire escape of any building til failure
Bros. I saw a muscle girl today and approached her. She wasnt interested but the pain of being rejected is better than the pain of potentially missing out.
How big is she and how tall? Was her face ugly or bogged?
She had a very sharp Native American looking face even though she was definitely Hispanic. She was 175 feet about. Had massive delts and a smooth yet firm stomach the kind you want to snort cocaine off of. Oh and a curvaceous backside.
175 cm I meant
>She was 175 feet about.
Is she like 35 or 40?
So, was the rejection “lol fricking gross frick outta here manlet lmao” or “oh, that’s very flattering, but I have a boyfriend.”
She told me I looked like a pedo and turned her back on me.
She said she had to go and told me it was nice to meet me before exiting the conversation.
So…not a rejection. She just said she had to go.
It counts. How many approaches have you done this week lad?
Don’t need approaches anymore. I already did, and got my tomboy gf.
Are you the racist tomboy gf poster. How did you two meet?
She asked me what's that smell and I said cheetos, then she did a 360 and walked away
If you're doing cardio you're getting steps in you fat fricking moron
I think there's some merit to the idea of early morning cardio so that you kind of jump start your metabolism for the rest of the day.
I did a few days last week but have fallen off since the weekend.

I NEED A STAIRMASTER
Buy the stairmaster you fat frick and stop talking about it every thread. Dont you have a credit card? $5k is ass wiping money
For you maybe, it is a lot of money. They should produce a cheaper one, maybe 700-1000 would be reasonable - like the Assault air bike.
Are there not any set of stairs near you?
Having a stairmaster in the house sounds fricking awful, and you should def get one used.
No, I live in the lower part of a maisonette, no stairs at all.

10k steps does literally nothing at all. You won’t lose even a single pound.
10k steps IS one hour of cardio
15-20 second sprints to failure with 5+ minute rest periods. You'll be done in like 20 minutes and be wiped out for the day, having used up all your glycogen and then some.
30 minutes on the elliptical at max resistance. You can burn 600 calories within that time frame without burning muscles.
T. bodybuilder who's perfected the cut.
>elliptical
You don't know what you're missing out on anon. I used to think the same way until my coach put me on it for my last competition.
sure
I was 260lbs of fat ass and the eliptical helped me lose 60lbs. It’s magic
I always thought elliptical was a bullshit spacewalk machine for boomers. Perhaps I’ll try what you’re saying.
This
Taking steps means potential knee issues
Biking hurts your balls
elliptical is the best just increase the resistance
Elliptical is based but the calories readings on it are absolute crap. Take them with an even smaller grain of salt then the treadmill estimates.
Kettlebell swings 500 reps every day
ur basically asking, whats better for weight loss, walking for 2 hours, or 1 hours of cardio.
That would depend on how fast you go during that hour of cardio.
I like walking/hiking more than I like running, but am I really missing out by only walking? I'm cutting.
No, it’s just more time consuming.
Do 10k steps for time.
walking IS cardio, moron
If walking significantly increases your heart rate you should put the fork down and lose weight, fatty.

fork put downs til failure
500mg metformin + 1mg rapamycin daily
thank me later
not eating

work on your calves with calf raises (with both legs and then progress to single leg variation) and start running
10k steps in an hour.
Just keep moving I guess
