kb swings and Turkish getups are great exercises but I know what you mean about the weirdos who think kettlebells are a suitable replacement for dumbbells or an olympic bar. I'll admit when I started lifting last year I drank the Kool aid and thought that I would be able to get shredded with just kettlebells but then I did more than 30 minutes of research.

In my experience the underprivileged women go out of their way to have sex with you and no one is getting taken advantage of.

I dunno kettlebells are gay though

i do about 5 minutes of kettlebell swings a day as part of my daily exercise routine. That's what it is good for. The gym is where you gain strength, the daily exercise is for maintenance.

Explain how doing less athletic versions of movements with a significantly lower load is advantageous in any way.

You probably can't even do one rep of a renegade row with a 16kg kettlebell.

I used to do those with 24kg when I was like 15 lol. I could probably do 40kg for reps now.

You're pathetic dude. Not surprising that you're so allured by kettlebells.

How are you going to train explosively in the transverse plane with dumbbells/barbells?

You mean like bench press and any sort of row?

            Anonymous

No I mean like cross body swings where you can train explosiveness

Plenty of landmine exercises are good for that. Also dumbbell rows if you do them properly.
Honestly, if you can't figure out how to train a particular movement pattern with BB or DB, you probably just aren't creative enough,

It gets shilled like meme diets in a "this is LITERALLY all you need" kind of way. Kettle bells are an amazing tool for a workout but they're not a replacement for everything. I think it's really just an extension of that meme diet mindset, if you're the kind of person to fall down a certain rabbit hole then you're probably the kind of person to fall down another rabbit hole. For example if you think the earth is flat, that's probably not the only strange thing that you believe. You're never going to hear someone say the government lies about the earth being flat but they don't lie about anything else.

That's just common sense though. If a society or institution is lying about something massive then they're untrustworthy, which calls into question other things they say.

that is annoying mindset of some kettlebell people. the literally all you need idea. i remember watching pavel videos and he was acting like that as well.

its an amazing tool with barbells calisthenics etc.

I love them as well. I find them great for alternative exercises to ones I can't do due to previous injuries. Great for a quick warm up with shit like swings as well.
I don't really get why they're pushed as this miracle tool above others like barbells or dumbbells though. My guess is just because they're easy to find and keep so influencers like to peddle them because they know they can get a large audience because anyone can have a kettle bell say around the house.

It appeals to older people beause it's an excellent way to stay fit in a short time using a manageable weight that won't cause injury. Grret when you have demands of job, kids, and the slower recovery of old age.
But it's just that, being fit, not being huge or super strong.
That said, 30-45 minutes of snatches or snatch presses or clean and press will be excellent when you're middle aged and beyond.
