Exactly. I'm the guy you replied to. We don't do any of this for women, because they don't know better than us what's best for us, and they don't get it either. After the first few years of serious lifting, they already consider you big and bulbous. We're trying to achieve greatness here. That's our quest. And as for bodyfat - women do definitely prefer a healthy level of bodyfat: They don't want to date a guy who they think might die of a heart attack or anemia. But there are plenty of genuinely fat men who have girlfriends, wives, children, what have you. There are way fewer men with insecure, neurotic, obsessive, and negative personalities who have that. A lot of what goes on here is just self-limitation under the delusion that it will help.

Ah, so deluded it is. Technically speaking, unless you have no gains, nobody is fat at 20% bodyfat. It's not lean, and unless you're at an FFMI of maybe 25+, you won't be "aesthetic", but honestly, I'm about 181 lbs, FFMI 22.3, bodyfat% 19.2%, and I look pretty good. I'm working on getting down to 12% once I've healed from an injury. But in the meantime, I'm pretty freaking defined and I look good. 🙂 Better than most.

I'm not gonna bother bringing up all the people who genetically can't burn off that fat covering the bottom two abs. Not worth my time. We both know it's very common.
If you think that you can go from lean and ripped to fat in a week of eating, that's a disordered thought. By your definition, many cavemen were fat. By a healthy definition, someone who is fat carries so much fat that it negatively impacts the person's health and functionality, and especially longevity. Especially if you lift and/or do serious cardio, this won't really be a thing until at least 25% bodyfat for men. 32% for women.

You think that you can't get anywhere naturally and the reason you think that is because you're afraid of putting on any substantial amount of bodyfat. Muscle is WAY WAY WAY harder to gain than fat is to lose, and it takes so much longer to put it on if you can't eat enough to recover, fuel your workouts, and be in an anabolic environment. To put on muscle, you have to put on weight. This is true for anyone whose working weight on bench is at least a plate.
Difference between 12% and 20% for most male lifters is about 58K-75K calories, so at a 1100 calorie daily deficit (not nearly as hard as it sounds), that's like 55-70 days of cutting. And 12% is LEAN.
And you can always start cutting at 18% if that works out better for you. I just don't know what you expect to happen if you're so frequently in a catabolic state.

Look I appreciate how much effort you're putting in here, but I'm not a powerlifter. I lift to look good and to me 20 percent bodyfat simply does not look good. I have managed to slowly build muscle while looking good. But I've been lifting over a decade.

20% with a gut? Is that what you'd have after TEN years? I'm not a powerlifter either. REVIVAL Fitness goes up to about 20% bodyfat when he bulks and he has no problem with appearance, getting lean, or getting big. He's been lifting for about 7 years and he's about 195 lbs and 15-16% at 5'10.
I've been lifting since January 2020 and I don't properly have a gut until at least 24-25%.
How big are you? What do you lift? Because this isn't a sprint. This is just doing it at 1x speed. Life is too damn short to spend 20 years to get like 6-7 years of gains.
There is no answer here except insecurity. You won't even be 20% most of the time, but even when you are, you won't be unhealthy or bad-looking. You'll still be leaner than about 70% of the US population. And that's the TOP of your bulk. If you don't have enough faith in yourself to let yourself do what you need to do in order to actually make the best gains you can, you are not in a healthy state of mind and you're wasting your time.

Look man I guarantee if I saw a photo of you I'd clock you as fat. I've had lean abs with decent arms and shoulder my entire youth and I wouldn't trade that for some powerlifting shit.
To each their own, I'm sure you see op as dyel or whatever. I'm just saying to me 20 percent bf looks fat.

And I don't care about that. I'm sure I'd be able to clock you in the face and knock you out without trying, even when all muscles involved are super fatigued. I think that says a lot seeing as at the end of the previous decade, I was a skinnyfat DYEL who couldn't curl my 15 lb dumbbell for more than a few reps.
Anorexics tend to see others as fat. Look at what you're saying: >I've had lean abs with decent arms and shoulder my entire youth
But you never got anywhere! You never improved! You gained maybe 10 lbs of actual contractile tissue in these 10 years, which is sad! Honestly, someone with 15 years of serious lifting behind them could still do that in that timespan.
You're so focused on vanity, like a girl. You can't see past the here and now. You never learned to trust the process. Maybe it's because you've never been overweight, so you haven't learned what it's actually like. I've been 270 without any gains.

I've put on quite a bit of lean mass over the years actually. I really don't care if you think you could beat me in a fight, the fact your brain even goes there screams insecurity to me.
Not everyone cares about powerlifting or breaking PRs. My lifts have gone up steadily but I wouldn't care if they hadn't because I look so much better now.
Someone who has been 275 has a warped idea of what fat is or isn't. People at that weight were circus freaks 100 years ago.

I think you're one to talk about insecurity, little man. I know for a fact I'm right, because if your lifts were any good, telling me them would've absolutely put egg on my face. At least I respect your integrity in not lying.
I said the clock thing because you used the word and I thought you'd see the funny side to me using the word like that. Guess not. Should've gone to Specsavers.
>Not everyone cares about powerlifting or breaking PRs.
Translation: 'Not everyone wants to succeed.'
I will stop telling you I'm not a powerlifter (and that in fact, I've just built basic strength that every man should have) because you will keep ignoring it, for the same reason you added 5 lbs to my peak weight.
You're fit. You're in shape. You're probably too lean for your own good. Certainly mentally, possibly physically (hormonal profile). But if you wanted to achieve "peak physique" or, like the quote says, show the full beauty and splendor that your body is capable of, you have failed.
See you in ten years when you've added 20 lbs to your bench and I'm benching your DL max for reps and DLing 600 lbs, weighing 195-220 lbs, all within the range of about 12-20% bodyfat (but if a PR feels worth it, I am comfortable going above that).

I don't do the big 4 anymore. Bad injury a few years back. I use dumbbells for everything now, doesn't quite have the same ring to it. But no my lifts are nothing special.
I didn't add to your weight on purpose I'm just posting while making dinner and half paying attention.
I'll be happy for you if you hit 600 lbs DL. I'm not knocking your goals, just saying 20 percent always looks fat to me. Everything else kinda spiralled from there.

Hey whatever man. I'm not trying to force you to do things my way. I'm just saying your perspective on the whole thing is distorted.
I'm Swedish. Here in Sweden, the average guy you'd run into, the median, the guy who isn't especially fatty or lean by normative standards, is probably about 24-26% bodyfat. And despite his lack of gains, he's not even that fat.
The way I see it, going up to something that's still leaner than the average guy, WITH MORE MUSCLE, in order to progress like 4-5x as fast as that "maingaining"/"lean bulking" crap and to break past the hard limit that method places on your gains, is worth it, and I don't see why it wouldn't be worth it to anyone who doesn't spontaneously explode once he reaches a certain level of bodyfat, like an anorexic version of the movie Speed (1994).
>Bad injury a few years back.
I guess you couldn't make the argument that I'll get injured training like I do, then. It's true that if you constantly train low reps, heavy-ass weight, and don't build sufficient muscle and joint integrity, you will likely get injured to some extent, but that's not how "barbell enthusiasts" or strength-focused lifters train. I've only gotten injured through a compound of like 10 factors which were all stupid things I shouldn't have been doing at that time. If even one of them hadn't happened, I wouldn't be injured now. And it's been less than a month and I'm starting to regain the ability to lift real weights. Even so, it was just a high-rep set of machine squats. Not even 200 lbs. I didn't even warm up. I didn't listen to my overstrained knees. I had been cutting for so long, during my short recovery bulk, I was still going heavy on the squats (90 kg dip belt + loading pin belt squats).
I know you didn't make this argument, but I wanted to address it anyway because others often do.

Ran out of characters, but wanted you to know that I won't be satisfied at 600 lbs. It's just roughly what I see myself pulling ten years from now. In about 13-17 years, I will be pulling at least 300 kg (661 lbs).

we lift to look better during sex, you're overthinking it
You're overthinking it. I still don't care much, but I've never cared at all about how I look before I've gone on places like IST and certain parts of YouTube. If I'm healthy, strong, and doing what I want to be doing, I am happy. I do not deal with fashion, with hairstyles, with any of this intricate homosexualry. That's for women to do. And I would hope the strongest impression a woman receives when you sleep with her isn't your appearance.

You don't look at yourself at work but you still wear cologne and your best shirt, right?
You're more at ease because you look right for the occasion. People pick up on little shit even if it's not consciously thought of.
10% is low enough that your testosterone drops. There's no reason to be that lean without a specific short-term purpose, like physique modelling. I don't think you realise how lean that really is. It's so lean that it's impossible for your strength not to plummet going down there natty.
Assuming a decent strength base prior to the cut, its reasonable to say that the strength drop will be negligible for most. Some people can handle 10% for a longer period of time but I think most experienced lifters could handle 1-2 weeks of that level of leanness (like for a vacation, for example)
Good luck with that. I've got 14.5" arms lean and I think I have small arms.
If you ever end up in a life-or-death situation with your wife, your fizeek isn't gonna be much comfort as she lay dying, perhaps drowning, burning, or freezing to death as you impotently stand there, having failed her.
Yeah I have 20" arms and I don't even frickin' lift bro
No, it's me again. I have small arms in proportion to my chest, because I'm a chest-dominant bencher, and I'm working on it. But honestly, we both have pretty big arms. Certainly, 15" without too much blubber is quite sizeable.

12", but it doesn't really matter where I'm at now, because I'm still in my early years of lifting.
The male physique that can be called perfect is the one that is most likely to attract females. Females constantly vote "dadbod" as their favorite. This is your typical dadbod that they vote for.
Women love any healthy physique. Women, especially in the romantic and sexual department, just wanna be dominated and made to feel feminine and submissive. They like any man who can fulfill the role of husband, father of your children, and lover well. Fat guys, lean guys, pretty small guys like OP's picrel and huge guys like Bugenhagen or whatever.
When people think of dadbod they think of fat asses with a belly, because the surveyed women are obese for a good 50 to 75% of them.
If you only knew how surveys are fricked up bullshit.
>tfw was more aesthetic after 1 year of training and cutting than I am now after 3
Went all in on lats since then. Significantly wider physique but as we know, girls hate lats.
This is pretty close to ideal

Could I achieve OP within a year? I really want something that can attract girls easily.
Too skinny, no muscles at all
https://i.imgur.com/FxCkeGB.jpg
Its this
Butt too big looks to bear-y, women would think you're gay
Pic related is what most women absolutely prefer. Nothing too defined, but still muscular enough so it makes them fantasize a bit. Veins are especially important
Looks kind of sickly and weird to me. Probably just narrow chest insertions ruin entire presentation. Shame, they have giant wrists relative to their body.
This, despite all the stupid shit that's been posted in this thread, wins gayest comment of the thread. You are a normie and a homosexual if you believe in muscles that are "too big". And his forearms aren't even especially big. They're in proportion to the rest of his unfinished physique. Guy's chest is just... ugh.
>tfw was more aesthetic after 1 year of training and cutting than I am now after 3
Went all in on lats since then. Significantly wider physique but as we know, girls hate lats.
Show them pictures of low bodyfat nolats and standard good lifter physiques and they generally prefer the more "compact" one, it's been posted here a few times and I just follow the meta because I have no capacity for original thought
Once you have lats you are on your way to "too big", though generally you can only get "too big" with gear.
Wait, OP pic is you?
Nah, OP pic just reminded me of my year-1 physique
It's not because they don't like lats, it's because guys show off their lats with a really shitty version of a front lat spread and look moronic because they don't know how to do it properly
>Eat A LOT
dont even count that fricking protein, just eat more than you think you should. always think - I eat a bit more, because I will spend much more energy than average in the gym. >sleep A LOT
get normal schedule, and sleep, goddamnit! You all are hormone deprived because you lack discipline in the most basic things in life, like sleeping. >Lift consistently, i.e. get a routine and do it.
BUT- mix it up after every 2 months.
My perfect workout is 4x/week split with typical bodybuilder volume training, but every 2 months I have 4 consecutive weeks of doing extremely heavy lifts. then take a week off then have a week of powerlifting.
Then week off - and then start the 4x/week again. Works like a charm, body gets big and power is through the roof. I think I have never had such massive increase of raw strength before, as I got +50% on some lifts in some 3 months. all natty.
dont be too concerned about these details. You can get amazing body just by DOING. You must go to details, when you hit a plateau. I.e. you already sleep, eat and lift like a monster and kind of dont go anywhere. THEN you research what you should change (usually it's just taking more or better rest. )

NTA but post body. You are fat.
Nobody who is superior would bother typing all that out
your still a beginner my man is see muscles as a piece of rope you need to get fiber on fiber in the good way most compact way possible those stay for live. he wants to be fit lean and healthy you want to be as big as possible like most beginners
>of the US population
Ahahahahahaha.
Just stop replying to xim. Xe's clearly seething since xe's a fatty who doesn't have abs.
20% is fat
You may stop coping now fatty
Your lack of fat is your only merit, so I understand that you wanna make the most of it.
And I would hope the strongest impression a woman receives when you sleep with her isn't your appearance.
looking good when having sex feels good, you're still overthinking it
Are you looking at yourself while you have sex? Not the beautiful, fragrant, heaving, ovulating woman in front of you?
You don't look at yourself at work but you still wear cologne and your best shirt, right?
You're more at ease because you look right for the occasion. People pick up on little shit even if it's not consciously thought of.
10-15% is a better range.
10 - 12%, you mean.
He looks great, then below the belt he looks gross and deformed
You are all coping morons and OP is an insecure skinny b***h that doesn't look like he lifts.
It's all about face, not your 13 inch biceps.
how good will your face looks after I smash it by flexing your head inbetween my biceps huh homosexual
Good luck with that. I've got 14.5" arms lean and I think I have small arms.
If you ever end up in a life-or-death situation with your wife, your fizeek isn't gonna be much comfort as she lay dying, perhaps drowning, burning, or freezing to death as you impotently stand there, having failed her.
they're
I have 15 inch and dyel as frick
Yeah I have 20" arms and I don't even frickin' lift bro
No, it's me again. I have small arms in proportion to my chest, because I'm a chest-dominant bencher, and I'm working on it. But honestly, we both have pretty big arms. Certainly, 15" without too much blubber is quite sizeable.
Forearm?
12", but it doesn't really matter where I'm at now, because I'm still in my early years of lifting.
Well ou do have small arms
I'm 6'2 230lbs. 18.4 inch arms. Why did you make this thread you insecure ant?
large horse wiener has arrived
Torso is too long
Okay so now we've established that this is the perfect body, how the FRICK do we achieve it?
1 ½-2 years of lifting, 6 months of cutting, and a lifetime of benching 1pl8 for sets of 10 and not letting yourself get any stronger.
>Wears a size small shirt with his 13 inch arms
Truf
It's lean, but not perfect. I prefer more size. But, to each their own.
Midsection is way too long, it looks weird
Women want this the most.
Why do you put pussy on a piedestal. Always talking about what women want... What about what YOU want?
>muhh pussy on pedestal
its perfectly normal to want fricking it
>Why do you put pussy on a piedestal. Always talking about what women want... What about what YOU want?
I think anon wants pussy
What a pussy.
Skinny twins? Yeah, probably.
t. catches lots of chicks mirin' when I'm out with my twin
he looks starved
The male physique that can be called perfect is the one that is most likely to attract females. Females constantly vote "dadbod" as their favorite. This is your typical dadbod that they vote for.
Read this:
When people think of dadbod they think of fat asses with a belly, because the surveyed women are obese for a good 50 to 75% of them.
If you only knew how surveys are fricked up bullshit.
that is not dad bod, that is homosexual bear mode
Dads aren't on roids.
Too defined, looks like a stick
Too muscular
This is pretty close to ideal
Too skinny, no muscles at all
Butt too big looks to bear-y, women would think you're gay
Pic related is what most women absolutely prefer. Nothing too defined, but still muscular enough so it makes them fantasize a bit. Veins are especially important
How to achieve?
how much protein does someone like that guy consume a day???
Women don’t like this m8
Crazy how delusional people are
Poor frick must be starving.
Looks kind of sickly and weird to me. Probably just narrow chest insertions ruin entire presentation. Shame, they have giant wrists relative to their body.
forearms are way too big
This, despite all the stupid shit that's been posted in this thread, wins gayest comment of the thread. You are a normie and a homosexual if you believe in muscles that are "too big". And his forearms aren't even especially big. They're in proportion to the rest of his unfinished physique. Guy's chest is just... ugh.
nope, his forearms look ridiculous lol, completely out of proportion with the rest of his physique
There is no such thing. Forearms will never be overdeveloped unless thats the only thing you train and nothing else
Cool physique but not ideal. Bet he looks like a skinny DYEL whenever he's wearing a shirt. Literally whats the point
hes just thin and dehydrated.
>dachau tier core
>lmao1plate chest
>decent arms
This is a curlbro
The core looks too weak. You feel like you could break him a tackle.
>tfw was more aesthetic after 1 year of training and cutting than I am now after 3
Went all in on lats since then. Significantly wider physique but as we know, girls hate lats.
>girls hate lats
Why? I've never heard this before
Show them pictures of low bodyfat nolats and standard good lifter physiques and they generally prefer the more "compact" one, it's been posted here a few times and I just follow the meta because I have no capacity for original thought
Once you have lats you are on your way to "too big", though generally you can only get "too big" with gear.
Nah, OP pic just reminded me of my year-1 physique
It's not because they don't like lats, it's because guys show off their lats with a really shitty version of a front lat spread and look moronic because they don't know how to do it properly
>my year-1 physique
Ahahahaha. You roided from the start ore you're just a fat delusional moron?
Wait, OP pic is you?
Can someone post the mirror pic of the very lean guy that looks like Griffith with black hair? He is Brazilian I believe
Could I achieve OP within a year? I really want something that can attract girls easily.
lift and eat 200g protein consistently
>Eat A LOT
dont even count that fricking protein, just eat more than you think you should. always think - I eat a bit more, because I will spend much more energy than average in the gym.
>sleep A LOT
get normal schedule, and sleep, goddamnit!
THEN you research what you should change (usually it's just taking more or better rest. )
>attract girls
I see hot guys with OPs body get gfs all the time. You're saying I can't?
He is saying you look like you're gay.
I'm not.
sure about that, sir?
I'm sure I want a gf
alright i believe you mr t50
That's mean bro.
im still envious
I can say the same.
really wishing i had kept working out right now ngl
It won't take but a couple months. I'd go regularly if only I had a gymbro.
indeed, but im talking about an upcoming 'event'
>I'd go regularly if only I had a gymbro.
my brother used to go with me some, twas fun
>indeed, but im talking about an upcoming 'event'
You'll get plenty of excercise at least.
>my brother used to go with me some, twas fun
I used to go with my other brother; he mogs me without even trying.
I might OP on IST soon.
>You'll get plenty of excercise at least.
i need to get prepared for a lot of walking tbqhwy
legging it across campus definitely isnt enough
>I might OP on IST soon.
i look forward to it then
too soft boi, too soft, you'll only attracts gay dudes, not hot girls.
Then why do I see skellies with gfs??
definition matters most for sex. if your muscles are visible and you're not fat you can get away with almost anything in bed
seks?
Its this
too much butt, not enough definition
for women i mean
>look at a construction worker cross-eyed and get thrown through a storefront window mode
How much does this twink weigh? 135? A crackhead panhandler will knock this guy out when he says he doesn't have any cigarettes. A old Mexican woman will strong-arm rob this guy. This dude will get pneumonia from a slight breeze.
This is a joke post but there's merit to it, I unfortunately live in a low trust Black person/Hispanic neighborhood currently and feel I need to carry more weight around to not look like an easy target, no cutting for me
>What is the perfect male physique and why is it this?
this is the sprinter body, ideal for sprinting and long distant run, this is the core ability for human survival, that's why it's sexy.
Being jacked like bodybuilder does't really mean anything in the wilderness, spear and bow skill, run and hunt matters.
>be me
>get women as a hungry skeleton
>get women as a skinnyfat
>lift for 2 years
>paradoxically, still get women as someone who thinks he lifts but still looks DYEL by IST standards
Did I mention I've been Norwood 2-3 since high school? Women don't care.
dyel : the body
Holocaust victim mode
its not
lifting mach frei
my god you people are insecure
lmao
Seethe: The Thread
unmaxxed dadbod
If you think this is a dadbod, you have cognitive dissonance and/or psychotic delusions. This guy clearly works religiously on his physique and you are a fat fricking slob posting on a korean whale hunting forum.
welcome to the absolute moronation of the dadbod-twink dichotomy
definitely not that
it's a good physique and you guys are so mad kek
You may not like it but this is what peak hunter gatherer performance looks like
Actually it's this
more gay men will like this over
frick no.
Height, weight, routine, diet?
