What kind of gym do you prefer? Small ones, less machines-variety but better environment, less crowded, etc.

I like the small, non-corporate gym I go to. Less variety but also less morons sitting on machines for half an hour just talking. Plus all the women who go are fit as frick.

Yeah but then you don't really need that many people to clog a small one.
idk man, been trying different ones around my area. Big ones are just a nuisance, tons of kids, tons of noise, a shit load of people. I just find it hard to concentrate.
Tried a couple of small ones and really liked it but if there's a few more people on it i can see the small variety being a problem.

My local one's basically a warehouse that a few guys converted into a gym. It's a huge space that has everything you need, but I've never seen it get close to crowded which is great. I don't think I've ever had to wait to use a rack in the few years I've gone there.

If I need to workout outside of my home gym I'd prefer to use a large gym with lots of equipment and a pool. Preferably an expensive one like Lifetime or Equinox because it's less likely to have black people around

I have a home gym now but I always yearned for a smaller gym with a good community of people

I have yet to find a gym that has a decent number of racks and/or benches per clients ratio.Every single one of them (both commercial and most small ones) just buys a thousand treadmills and that's that.

I go to a small gym. Working out at 6:00am (morning gay here) you find nothing but old timers using the cardio machines, and a couple of people including myself who have to work at 9. Nobody wastes time, nobody hogs machines, but most importantly, no social media cancer. Every now and then we will see somebody with a bad vibe, or a wannabe Influencer bawd working out her ass, the mood of the gym changes, they know they're not welcome. Who knows about any other time of the day, don't care for it.
