New UFC is sad. The fighters are obsessed with rank climbing/squatting and refuse to fight anyone below them because it's risky. There's very few true specialists, everyone is decent at everything but there's only a handful of guys who are truly elite at one art and make it work. The rules get more confusing everyday, the fighters are denied sponsors and paid little to fight, UFC has consumed almost all competition. It's a mess. HW is mostly fat guys and was dominated by a guy who consistently won by windmilling punches for 45 seconds tops. Guys with double digit win streaks are still waiting for a title shot because a guy with a name wants his third shot or whatever. Women's MMA. It's all so tiring.
