>hard work
this, and
>Goku
Goku will literally never plateau. It's not fair natty bros...
Goku is supposed to be a shit tier saiyan and he turned moronic when hit in the head. He actually had to effort his way up
Goku hasn't put any effort into his training since the Freeza Saga ended. It's just been one mary sue asspull after another
>HEHE, BEJITA WHY ARE YOU TRAINING SO HARD? WHEN I WOKE UP HALF PAST NOON AND ROLLED OUT OF BED I ACHIEVED SUPER SAIYAN 5 ULTRA DELUXE AND THEN GOD HIMSELF DESCENDED FORM THE HEAVEN AND GIFTED ME BOUDLE ULTRA GOD MODE HEHEH BEJITA WHY ARE YOU STILL STRUGGLING WITH REGULAR GOD KI? YOU NEED TO LEARN TO RELAX!
Bejita did unironically start mogging Gokek when his grindset went from "BAAAAAHHHH I WANNA BE STRONGER THAN KAKAROT RAAAAAAAGH" to literally anything else. CHADren's power and Friegga being alive again gave him a training motive that allowed him to actually mog TARDku because he was worried for the sake of his family shit instead of letting him live rent free in his ego.
Goku has the Saiyan genetics and those are moronic levels of op. But he was born as one of the weakest Saiyans and lives to train and test himself, so he gets a pass.
90% of the show is a montage of Goku training
This

Why do people keep posting this
Because you will ever be a real woman.
*never
Because it eternally btfos trannies
Fake news
There is no biological difference between a cis persons vegana and a trans person butthole
Yeap. Having Rock Lee to choose, he chooses the one who literally was born with both higher power because dad was a talented fighting genius and also has a literal demon inside of him to use.
Op is a mega homosexual confirmed.
>SPBP
Imagine putting Naruto there and not my boy Rock Lee smhtbhfamalam
transphobic post
Gon was also born with incredible talent. Meanwhile tanjiro and midoriya both destroyed their bodies countless times trying to learn how to use their power.
How transphobic, theres literally no differences between a cis persons genitals and a trans persons. I. AM. LITERALLY. SHAKING!
nasty
>Verification not required
You wont reach anywhere near your full potential without hard work no matter how good your genetics are
>naruto

Dude got some tails coming out of his ass and call it hardwork cause he doenst have parents. gtfo
He worked his ass off compared to other ninjas in this eye-ball wars

>Baki, Naruto, Goku
You never read those mangas, admit it.
>mangas
Scum
I would guess not comparing your life to Chinese cartoons a good start
Doesn't Vegeta workmog Goku in every aspect?
And Naruto is literally descended from super beings and has had world destroying magic in him since birth.
Good b8 tho
naruto did work hard
thats why hes the strongest ninja of all time
he is the perfect triple blend of
1) rock lees autistic obsession with self improvement
2) gaaras jinchuruki demon bullshit power [steroids]
3) sasukes god tier genetics
he mogs all 3 with no issue because he has all 3 of those things. He trained as hard as Rock Lee who had no demon and shit genetics. He had a demon like Gaara who barely trained and descended from a political scummer who sucked at fighting. He had an OP as frick bloodline like Sasuke who had no demon and didn’t go particularly hard with training.
how many years before naruto did a single lick of work to earn any of his victories or command any respect from anyone? he literally stumbles his way blindly all the way through to the 2nd half of shippuden letting his fox demon and his freinds do all the work for him, he's the most born-right, spoiled, coddled anime protagonist that's ever existed to the point where I have to assume this entire franchise is satire and that the writer is laughing his way to the bank knowing theres people who somehow gleaned the "hard work beats natural gifts/genetics/privelege!!" message from his joke story
one of the first things he did was grind hard to learn the advanced version of the simple technique that everyone else had learned. Every big breakthrough in his skills was after a lot of work like the rasengan and summoning the big toad. The story progressively went to shit but in principle he was both hard work and talent
>unlimited chakra hack since birth
>hard work
Naruto always striked me as a moron and it didn't help that he had no guidance in his childhood only later on when jiraya appeared but that's more because of shitty inconsistent writting. You'd think him being the son of the hokage he would get some special tutors and people looking out for him but no.
He didn't because they wanted him to be the village scapegoat, cause if the villagers had someone to hate they would be less likely to rebel or something.
tldr.: It's all this old fricks fault.
So basically shitty incosistent writing thanks
That's most anime though.
>mfw I genocide a clan and ruin the life of a national hero's kid for no real reason
Danzo is the perfect representation of intelligence agencies. Always up to clandestine shit, but they never do anything useful for anyone. They just constantly do busywork that happens to be evil to justify their own existence and uphold the illusions that they are totally helping to prevent the [REDACTED] and keeping [REDACTED] in check.
He was 50% doing stupid shit he thought would help like revealing naruto as a jinchuuriki, getting itachi to slaughter the uchiha and he even caused the formation of the akatsuki by getting hanzo to kidnap konan leading to yahiko dying. He was 50% working towards his goal of becoming hokage too, like helping orochimaru for his hashirama cell research. He just ended up fricking everything up and died like a b***h.
the fact that he had a tailed beast inside him should have granted him special care seeing how important those are...
we literally see him working hard many times, and until much later he couldn't really tap freely into the unlimited chackra. Also a lot of chakra by itself only goes so far, especially since he's often stacked against bullshit strong enemies
>what is the Asura reincarnation asspull
everything he accomplished was actually just because he was the reincarnated son of the Sage of Six paths. So even before considering the nine-tails bullshit he is firmly on the side of team talent. Now his father on the other hand is the greatest ninja to live
Of course you fricking homosexuals love anime.
Obito became the sage and did frick all with it.
>trained as hard as rock lee
lol, nope
You could even argue sasuke trained harder than him, since he never had the mentor to teach him his strongest and one of two useful move.
>born son to arguably the strongest hokage
>evil demon sealed inside him UNTIL he learned to control said demon to basically give him infinite mana cheats
>mentored by the strongest people around
>all fine and dandy UNTIL the end of the series where you find out he's actually the reincarnation of a deity haha
Nardo is only good until after zabuza's death.
If it were like this, there would be no differentiation between columns
>Doesn't Vegeta workmog Goku in every aspect?
Yes, so does Sasuke (even though sasuke also gets eye asspulls later in the series). Pretty much every anime MC gets workmogged by their rival, but the MC has plot armor so they always come out with the victory. It's why most people drop shonenshit by the time they turn 13 and start watching high IQ stuff like Steins;Gate.
>start watching high IQ stuff like Steins;Gate.
Fantatsic bait. This thread is going places.
Pretty much this. good luck with this fricking thread.
>so does Sasuke
are you moronic? Sasuke does not train harder than naruto, he literally didn't train at all in the original manga aside from for a few weeks before the exam, he got by purely on his genetics up to that point. after that he trained with orochimaru for about a year, and then just started wandering around and didnt train.
>Sasuke does not train harder than naruto
Are you a fricking idiot? Naruto does barely any training outside of the rasengan and learning sage mode in the entire series. Meanwhile Sasuke is trained and given ninja steroids by the strongest of the legendary sannin. In fact, Naruto never really wins any fights in the series, the nine tails does. Every important fight he's in, he gets close to losing and Kurama has to come in and save the day. Sasuke spends the entire series risking his health & safety training with Orochimaru just to surpass someone who relies on jinchuriki bullshit. Naruto is a terribly written character for someone who is supposed to represent hard work and dedication.
>Sasuke does not train harder than naruto,
Thats up for debate but sasuke has been training since a little kid with his brothers, once his clan was wiped out he trained to take revenge. Naruto was the one that never trained and fricked around, until he was forced into team 7 and prove himself. 9 tails fox saves narutos life throughout the series.
>(even though sasuke also gets eye asspulls later in the series)
Whole point of sasuke is that hes a genetics god, and Naruto is the frick up who works hard. The series ruined this later on though by making it destiny.
>steins gate
>high IQ
I know it's bait but too many weebs actually believe this, it's probably the most autistic story ever. You have some chuuni homosexual who made a time traveling message machine with a microwave and cell phone which functioned because of a CRT tv, and apparently nobody could figure this shit out for 40+ hours (I played the visual novels). There's some moronic science girl who seems to be no smarter than the main guy in terms of actually doing anything and a fat guy who can hack CERN and, in the future beta timeline, manages to build another time machine.
The ONLY good waifu was Maho
>inb4 muh shrine maiden
You're gay and in love with a reddit troony
Vegeta was the prince of all Saiyans
Goku's family were the equivalent of peasants
vegeta was eating bugs and working for globohomosexual while goku was giving his all just because he wanted to, not even a real reason behind it. goku is the reason why vegeta even stays on track, or I better say kneelgeta.
There's a isekai Yamcha manga where a dbz fan gets reincarnated as Yamcha, realises he gets his shit pushed in in the Saiyan Saga (and gets to frick Bulma) so he gets to work and trains hard.
Just read it. Could had been better, but It's a fun short read.
>team hard work
add asta there ya c**t
>be me, fricking manlet 5'5"
>no future on having a woman taller than me
>lift the feels away, see this character
>look it up, he's a manlet too, watch the show
I'm only halfway into episode 1 and like this show, thank you based anon. May this show continue my steady gainz and try to land a chick taller than me.
asta versus yuno is literally hardwork versus talent
you will enjoy it. if you can get past the first 13 episodes which most consider to be the WORST part of the anime by a mile(i dont it was ok), and thats because of asta screaming. most people are also city slickers so they dont get the excitement villagers from the boonies get when seeing the big city, which is what happens with asta. but if you can get past that, there is so much pure KINO coming later.
Who needs a woman taller than 5'5 anyway.
Literally the only shounen mc that actually had to hardwork his way to be able to even use his powers.
>everybody wanna be a wizard king
>but dont nobody wanna lift no heavy ass sword
Keked hard to this pic. Like really hard and happily. Perhaps all those "heals dopamine receptors" no FAP meme is real.
>black clover has two hard work > talent characters
I fricking love this series bros
i cant wait for mangas big moment to get animated. it got me so hyped when i read it

When is it ever stated nika has anything to do with the one piece lmfao
>weebshit
Into the trash.
Naruto belongs on team talent, tanjiro is the definition of team hardwork
Tanjiro is asspull/genetics. He's only successful because his dad learned shit from the creator of that style you fricking moron and he passed it onto his son in the form of a ritual dance. Wasn't Tanjiro also like the only one of the high tier demon slayers to live? have a nice day.
Demon Slayer literally has a hard working character, too, and he fricking dies.
Tangerine delt with that weird mutated demon from selection with nothing but his hallucinations to train him on a mountain for 2 years. He worked for it.
He was trained by ghosts of the previous two students who had died to the demon. You have brain damage.
And? The ghosts didn't give him anything they just did the same job every other instructor does: point out flaws and ways to work around them. All of the training was on his own.
Double dubs for the autism king
Jack was Auschwitz-tier before roiding, it absolutely did make him stronger. Yūjiro is just full of shit, he should know more than anyone else only results matter.
Not our fault nobody cares about that kusomanga anymore, blame Sandro for being an absolute moron
>having special teachers doesn't count
>knowing the best style and being one of two ever users of it doesn't count
Demon Slayer baby
special teachers doesn't count
It'd only count if they actually taught him anything, which they never really got save for his initial instructions on the techniques of water style from Urokodaki and the Hashira training (that was literally just training). His accomplishments were always his own and him not being a chosen one like Yorīchi was is literally the point.
Deku at the beginning had to train to handle his power because it kept fricking up his bones
The multiple quirks asspull didn’t come until later
>just straight up given the most powerful quirk in the whole setting because frick it, why not
He's team asspull whether you like it or not.
He had to train before he got it so his body wouldn’t blow up the second he got it, and still has to train before he can even use it consistently
O MY SEVEN QUIRKS
Eren is both. kys
this
tanjiro is also asspull
Eren is a wannabe hardwork protagonist who trained really hard and just barely made the scouts - only to get cucked out of the chance to use his hard earned 3dmg abilities by an asspull power.
The panel where he took down the colossal titan with his maneuver gear and swords was the money shot of the entire manga.
Nope. Daddy injected him with titan super powers. Without those he wouldn't lasted a minute against titans.
Literally, not even a minute.
Dilate.
Eren only has determination going for him he is otherwise mediocre compared to all the other talented side characters.
Goku spent 95% of his life training and the other 5% were fighting how is that not hard work ?
Or does it change in super ? Didn't read the zoomie sequel.
Goku up to the Namek arc was Team hardwork. The super saiyan shit is pure genetics/asspull.
You mean to tell me not a single other saiyan worked hard or got upset that their friend died? For a fricking 1000 years?
The Saiyans were all sociopaths
Goku had empathy since he was brain damaged
doesn't change the fact that he didn't work for that transformation. As compelling a story as it is, he should've died to Frieza if the world of DBZ was just
Originally, there was supposed to be only one "legendary super saiyan", who turned out to be Goku. Then this was retconned by giving every saiyan the ability to achieve it, and Broly was made "the" legendary super saiyan later.
Gon is a 1 in a million talent though. They say so when he just starts learning nen.
>Baki
>hard work
Baki doesn't train even half as hard as Jack does and yet he's probably still stronger. He's all talent.
>Baki doesn't train even half as hard as Jack
Baki trains a lot. Like an absurd amount of time. before he attempted to fight Yujiro at the age of 13, he was warming up for 12 hours straight. Jack might be more autistic about his exercise but their training program is different in its basics. Baki doesnt even lift weights, and focuses on calisthenics instead. Okay, the Hanma genes are obviously a large boost but Jack also has them. His natural talent/resilience shows in the fact that he is still alive after the absurd amount of steroids he takes. The one however who is mostly natural talent is Yujiro. The dude forced his own birth when he was only 5 months old while his kids were more or less normal as infants. We saw Yujiro swimming but instead of working hard like his children, he smokes cigars and drinks alcohol in his free time [other than fighting of course]
>Baki doesnt even lift weights
He does and after his mommy dies he quits conventional training completely and only does imagination training.
Baki literally decided that he doesn't need to train at all halfway into Musashi arc.
Luffy quite literally trained for two years straight, and trained plenty before that as a child all while getting his ass beat by monkeys, lions and his bat shit insane navy grandpa, before he set sail for the grand line, literally the only luck based thing in his arsenal was his devil fruit which he had to train to reach the full capability of.
Hard Work + Guts
what's the sauce on this? I miss pre-cell shaded anime
nvm it's Gunbuster
neither really. you just need to incorporate working out in your daily routine and boom you're fit.
Half these characters are a combination of the two.
>Luffy
>Team talent
Luffy is quite literally the definition of hard work. 10 years to learn how to use his fruit and 2 more for Haki and he still died on Onigashima.
Goku is fine.
Naruto is asspull + talk-no-jutsu, there's no hard work.
Baki is 100% talent, he doesn't work.
Kirito is only strong in a videogame.
Yugi has the power of friendship.
>Luffy is quite literally the definition of hard work.
Just eat a devil fruit boyo.
>Goku is fine.
He supposed to be "the super saiyan" like
said so yes it is genetics, Toriyama is a hack.
Who know IST was more based than IST for shounen shit?
Shonen is all about building yourself stronger, breaking past your limits, and uplifting your allies, it fits the IST Philosophy
Because IST is largely a moeshit metropolis, and the CHADgonball CHADper threads are pretty much the only major activity of CHADtivity.
good drawing, love the color accents. Did you make it?
Nah, it's not mine, but I concur that's a sick ass Cooler pic.
Picrel is what I made.
KEK
your basedness is singlehandedly making me consider to start watching db super, which for some reason I've never even started.
Is it better than gt?
shonenchads eventually end up here because TSUYOKU NARITAI
moeshitters stay on IST and wallow in their own lard
ignore the zooms they don't count on either board
IST is the worst place to discuss anime on IST and IST and IST accessories are the worst places to discuss videogames. An offtopic thread going under the radar on another board will always yield better discussion since it is reigned in by a secondary uniting topic.
There are more men in the thread alone that in all IST anon kun.
based vasco anon
seriously dont know why gangism is underrated
All the other groups are proper gangs. The burning knuckles are just a bunch of guys who likes Vasco.
>Naruto
>not Zabusa or Guy/Rock Lee as Team Hardwork
For me, it's sticktoitiveness
>Not realizing that all of them required hard work AND talent
I pity you, anon
Tbh Ichigo was born the second most powerful being but he couldn't tap into his power until he overcame his depression and understood himself.
Not really hard work like other characters there.
I get what youre saying, but overcoming your inner self and understanding your true essence is arguably the hardest thing one can ever accomplish. Thats some buddha level shit
Ichigo had to train his mental health and maturity. Bleach is just a story about a punk becoming a functional adult. Still trained though
No, the issue is that too many talentBlack folk are in the hardworking side. the point of the separation is to differentiate normal humans who honed their bodies to the limit to achieve their results vs people who needed additional assistance from luck, genetics, nine-tailed foxes etc. to reach their pinnacle in the story.
Zoro is literally just a regular guy. He is exactly the same structurally as any other random mook in the story, the key difference being his willpower and training. Flip side, Ichigo, who despite working hard to get to where he's at, would barely be above the average no-name spirit let alone shinigami let alone captain-level shinigami if not for his cheater genes
The are all genetically gifted and hardworking. Every single one of them. Zoro is implied to be some Wano noble lineage, so that goes right out the window. Its just like real life. I can be a man of average genetics and be able to overpower someone with godly genetics who doesnt use them. Hard work > Talent, but Talent + Hard Work is undefeatable
quick google is telling me Zoro just had a strong resemblance of Ryoma, not like he necessarily directly descended from him. His mannerisms, willpower, and training method could easily account for most that logically in the story. And the fact that the story works just as fine without him being a descendent is the point of the inspiration. Contrast that with other well known talent goblins like the Fairy Tail guy or Yugi and the difference between them is clear.
>implying
No thanks, Zoro is the goat hard worker, regular dude. Any semblance to the Wano dude is due to the unconscious collective
Zoro is pretty much confirmed for Shimotsuki bloodline, a legendary Wano family. That doesnt mean that he isnt still a hard working bad ass. He may have the natural born propensity towards swordsmanship, but his hard work is what made him what he is
Genetics/ Luck/ Talent, whatever the frick
Naruto is constantly saved by 9tails intervention. He literally has a baby sitter inside him. Deku on the other hand works hard.
>Deku on the other hand works hard
>Mopes around feeling bad for himself his whole life, only starts working hard for a few months when promissed to get powers
Lmao
Wow I've gotta train hard so I can properly utilize one for all!
Oh wait nope I have seven quirks now and I can just use them to get a similar effect to what I would get with one for all if I actually worked out.
Also I'm such a smart analytical guy because I wrote about superheroes my whole teen life but it took me a whole episode to figure out I can just kick with my legs!
Why do people still watch/read this garbage, vigilantes mogs the main manga so hard it's unreal.
The point is that Deku is the type to miss the forest for the trees. His hyperanalysis is a blessing and a curse. He can overcome challenges but misses the simple shit simply because he overthinks it. Using his legs is such a simple concept that it never even registered in his psyche. Modeling himself after AM, its easy to see why he overlooked it
The real missed opportunity is that the author did not make him a grappler. Imagine all the chokes and throws. Imagine the levels of homoeroticism as he strangles Bakugo with his asscheeks.
He worked hard. He may not have been training his physicality his whole life but he was doing everything else right. Understanding the nature of quirks, how to use them in the safest way, best ways to use quirk synergistically etc. He is a fricking nerd, of course being physically capable was something so easy taht he overlooked, much like many nerds in the real world. However once he realized he needed physicality he worked harder than everyone else to hone his body to its highest degree. His lack of being able to utilize OFA at 100% isnt due to his lack of hard work, its a hard cap as of now because he is a literal child with an average body. Someone like AM is a genetic freak and as able to handle it because it was weaker at the time he inherited it, and he was just born blessed. Deku has made insane progress given the span of time hes had to work with
Deku did work hard until the story decided to give him a bunch of different powers that only he could control because he's the chosen one, because autism really is unstoppable
I'm more of a steal other people's abilities
I wish I could challenge people to mma fights and steal their genetics if I win.
The midas touch is learned behaviour. Basically you can short cut any ability using intuition.
He got the Black Reaper moniker before he "stole" those powers, he was powerless during his fighting in the South American war.
>He got the Black Reaper moniker before he "stole" those powers
I thought the Black Reaper moniker was in reference to his sister before she disappeared and gifted her powers to Hei. Since no one knew what happened to her, he simply inherited her alias
It's been a few years for me but nope, he did get her star though. Most people don't even know who is sister was or her powers, they just know her by star so they think he's the original BK201. I'm pretty sure most people don't even know his powers, they just think he can electrify people because that is all he does. A lot of people want to know what happened at the end and very few actually do. Hei knew his sister was gone, he just couldn't accept it which is why all he did was electrify people and spend half the series looking for anything he could about her whereabouts.
He begun being called Black Reaper as a non contractor, in a war fighting contractors alongside his sister. His name "Hei" is literally black in chinese (he's chinese).
Shame we'll never get a Heaven's Gate prequel. See some Bai, see some Hei, see Carmine my beloved. People don't like powerless Hei from S2 but they can die.
>People don't like powerless Hei from S2 but they can die.
Powerless Hei is wholly canon and people have difficulty accepting that, yeah.
>Shame we'll never get a Heaven's Gate prequel
I wish we saw more of Amber and the extent of her powers because she was the main driving force of the later half of S1
>Carmine
She's precious.
>name
Got way too much in common with this show. I haven't stopped thinking about it since S2 aired in October 2009 for 13 years. Haven't stopped mirin Bai either.
If you want, leave a contact and I'll swallow my anxiety to chat endlessly about this fricking show
>this pic
Washington?
Are you

No, I'm just here watching Black Clover thanks to a based anon.
That's in south america bro.
Yin is best girl and there's no doubt about it
>Yin is best girl
I do try and replicate her style as much as I can without looking like I'm fricking larping
WHERE YOU FROM
Same as picrel.
Thank goodness.
Antarctica, finding your coordinates as we post, beauty.
It’s been a long time since I saw DtB, but tell me havoc is brazilian. It would be cool to know there’s a qt somewhere in my country who likes the same semi-obscure anime as me.
I'm sorry, I meant I'm a chink but I haven't been back for a long time. I'll be moving to the land of the contractors.
I don’t know what’s more unbelievable
A woman on IST or an unironic darker than black fan, in 2022 no less, yet you manage to be both
>A woman on IST
There's quite a few.
>unironic darker than black fan
I've tried to cling into it for 13 years. It will always be the first one I list off. Seems fans have been made aware of its existence only within the last 5 years.
>in 2022 no less
I don't think anyone watched it when it was released. Watched S1 when S2 aired ep 3.
I'm just glad I get to talk about it at all. Thanks, anon.
Uhhh female? Yes please milady! Go woahinga babadinga yazamaza ding a ling ding.
based DtB autist. Never watched that show but gotta respect the grind
Some people were seriously filtered by Hobo Hei, Mary Suou, and S2 in general. I didn't care for it on my first watch but I fell in love with DtB all over again when I rewatched it.
>i wish we saw more amber
Yeah Amber was good and I definitely wanted more of her, she just keeps getting younger and you never see when or exactly for what she keeps using her powers or how they really work. Just part of the mystery now.
I was holding out so much hope for an announcement for anything during the anniversary gathering a few years back.
Been a bit since I've watched it, now I want to do a full rewatch and reread the manga. All I have is a discord, I pretty much just use it for vidya but if you have one we could talk about DtB there.
I liked the agent lady a bit at first but Carmine really stole my heart. Prequel would be so good because it (could) have more of her, more Bai, Amber, it would also show a different side of Hei, as he loved his sister. Never ever ever territory sadly.
What exactly qualifies as “talent” in the gym?
Insertions mainly. There are tons of factors though. Type of muscle, how well your muscle adapts to stimuli etc. Insertions is huge though, because depending on how your muscles are inserted will dictate your lever power.
Isn't that all genetics though?
Ever heard of Rock Lee
>loses every fight
>does nothing of value
>becomes a non character
>gets married to random girl in the sequel
>becomes a non character even harder despite powerlevels falling with naruto and sasuke getting nerfed so they can be brought back into the story
>is still nothing compared to might guy who was at least cool as frick and strong despite ultimately doing little of value
Yeah I might have heard of him.
Naruto and Goku had taken abd help, ESPECIALLY Naruto (although he did do hard work like with sage mode)
Literally rock Lee would've fit for that side of the meme
>GOKU
Trains less than Vegeta but somehow always surpasses him because asspulls.
>YUSUKE
Literal demonic blood that made him stronger.
>NARUTO
Reincarnation of an ancient legendary ninja PLUS he had a demon inside. Come on.
>BAKI
Demonic Hanma genetics.
Only one really team hard work here is Kenichi. Even Zoro and Gon are clearly very gifted and talented naturally. Kenichi is the only one who had shit genetics and overcame them with training.
My favorite part is definitely Yugi because he's not even the dude that cheats, that's Yami.
Guy is so much better than Naruto. He was literally the only one who could fight Madara 1v1 even though Madara was in his weird demigod asspull form
>almost dies, gets saved by naruto
>who then beats madara
I hate might guy and rock lee gays
>gets saved by naruto
More like gets saved by a literal asspull. Naruto also didnt beat Madara on his own he beat him together with Sasuke who also received a asspull of his own. The eight gates were also established way, way earlier in the story while narutos weird moon superpower came out of nowhere. I cant even remember how he got it in the first place since it was so stupid
Nobody beat Madara.
Might Guys biggest issue was he didn't balance his skillset. Though he did become the strongest taijutsu user alive
This. Naruto had EVERY fricking advantage at his name. Guy only had his balls and he 1v1 the strongest villain of the series.
This is dumb, replace everyone on the left with rock lee.
>No Ippo in Hardwork
The only anime-character who is actual hard work.
I have never read or watched Berserk, but the general community come off obnoxious and edgy. I'll stick to the typical boring shonen shit. Or better yet mecha.
you should read it. berserk IS edgy. It's the most gruesome and graphic manga I've read - worst than some guro porn at points.
But it also is an excellently written story with many important themes and lessons.
Guts is one of the best written MCs of all time.
>better yet mecha
Based.
mecha sucks, flesh and blood creatures fighting and tearing each other apart will always be cooler
I disagree, brother.
You can disagree but that's why attack on titan is so popular, it's basically mechas but with flesh and blood.
So its basically Ultraman then?
You have no idea how many times I've rewatched that trailer. Giant fricking robots tearing each other apart doing giant robot shit is some of the coolest stuff out there. Gundam is pk, but when I think mecha, that trailer captures it perfectly.
>tfw the souls community is going to shit everything up.
Yeah, it's why when it releases I will go to the same board I went when ACV released back then; >>>/m/ my man.
Is >>>/m/ pretty chill? Not really into super weeb shit just really like that specific aesthetic.
I would say yes, visit /acg/ to get an idea, and it's a slow board overall so threads last awhile.
I'm a souls fan, but I'm really hoping armoured core stays closer to its own thing and doesn't lean too heavy
>caring about fandom
holy frick, you're already more cringe than any of the manchildren berserk fanboys.
What's your favorite mecha show?
Toss between Votoms or Fang of the Sun Dougram.
>e-girl witch that keeps him sane
>magic armor
>magic sword
>e-girl witch who orbits him cause she never had a daddy
>armor only activates when you are at your mental and physical limits - will spike your bones and muscle to stop them tearing from the superhuman physical forces you are under
>normal ass sword that isnt even that sharp - turned magical from years of fighting evil spirits
still unbelievably hard work - no anime mc is close.
>it-it doesn't count because....it just doesn't okay????
Even the Narutards ITT are less obnoxious.
well lets say it does count
guts struggles and has gone through way more pain than any character in ops post
And here comes the >muh suffering despite Guts not even being that bad, he's mid tier on the suffering levels, his moronic fans can only compare him to teenage battle shonen MCs. It's like you're like 15 years old calling 12 year old stuff baby shit.
Okay, who suffered more?
>mfw he's never read fire punch
>inb4 i dont know her
I know.
>has a happy ending
Lmao
I don't care about moeshit
I mean yeah, kind of...
I'm pretty sure berserk will have a happy or bittersweet ending too
Before he passed, Muira said that after such a long time he would not have it be a bad ending.
at some point increasing edginess just makes a story cringe instead of making it more "mature" or whatever you are trying to imply. I could write a sonic fanfic with a mc that suffers ten times more than the humans in I Have No Mouth And Must Scream, but that would be something so detached from reality and over the top that it would lose its weight as a sad story
Sounds like Berserk
Berserk is already so egregiously edgy that it's hard to take it seriously sometimes, but the eclipse after the relatively happy golden age arc hits the sweetspot for me in being a hard-hitting sadness wankfest, thanks to the build-up to it. Let's not kid ourselves, mangas tend to have very mediocre writing and Berserk is wayy above average in this regard
>magic armor
It literally eats into your flesh and keeps you going when your flesh, bone and sinew gives up but your spirit is willing to kill and rend. Its a cursed armor for a reason and no sane person would go anywhere near it.
>magic sword
There is nothing magical about it, its just a hunk of metal that has soaked up so much blood of supernatural beings that it simply exists in the same plane as them, thus being able to cleave them.
And everyone should have a pocket-e-girl witch with them.
Guts is a gay. He has been ass fricked as often as railed puss
Umm, sweetie? He railed that demon in the prologue too.
Baki trains hard, don't get me wrong but the dude literally has Hana genetics, he was always going to be a menace. Zoro low key the only one that really belongs in that group (I'm not that much of a weeb so I don't recognize the guys in the green or white shirt)
>implying team hardwork isn’t a byproduct of luck/genetics
Goku is a saiyan which already puts him over all humans in dragonball, Naruto has top chakra reserve genes and is descended from ninja Jesus, Yusuke has demon blood that descends from the top demon raizen, Baki has Hanna genetics. Also that homosexual Gon is related to Ging and is already powerwanked by everyone he interacts with. Most of these characters are would amount to nothing in comparison without some sort of advantage like team talent.
I was really disappointed with MHA. I was hoping Deku would be like a batman character in a world where all the heroes and bad-guys have actual powers. I mean he made it into the hero academy without powers, but then one just drops in his lap.
>I mean he made it into the hero academy without powers
no he did not lmao
It is somewhat disappointing indeed, because other characters develop superhuman strength and agility on top of their quirks, and he constantly b***hes and moans despite being given real super strength.
What kind of talent? An intelligent hard worker can easily outshine a talented man, but a talented intelligent man can progress quickly. For the hard, intelligent, and talented worker, well, let's not talk about him. Hardworking matters more, because weightlifting is a repetitive activity.
Would have been better off scrapping everyone out of the hardwork pic and just leaving Ippo and guts in it
gon is pure talent wtf
Gym is both, but hard work can always overcome whatever genetic failings you have unless you're like a malformed barely sentient goblin
Me too bro
I remember watching Naruto when I was younger but only the original. How is Shippudden?
Shitpooden?
It's alright. Some rough patches but if you skip the filler it's pretty enjoyable and doesn't overstay it's welcome.
[Spoilers]Boruto is the same[/Spoilers]
it's when it fully stops being about ninja and becomes wisards styling themselves as ninja.
Not mutually exclusive, never mutually exclusive.
Talent because a talented individual can try harder whenever he wants to but someone who isn't talented can't ever become talented.
Something I learned with art is that talent is a myth, behind everyone you dismiss as simply talented are hundreds of hours of work and formative experiences that gave them that "talent"
idk about art but i've been playing sports my entire life and talent in physical abilities is a very real thing
To a degree, yes, genetics do have an impact on who we are and how we perform, but even a 10 year old getting into weekend soccer has 10 years of experiences that made them who they are, a lot of talent is just hard work you didn't see
its a huge degree man, sign your kids up for sports when you have them if you want to see it in real life. The kid in your example could be twice as good or twice as bad as any given person that started playing at the same age and put in the same amount of work
Nah I don't think so. Everyone comes from different backgrounds, puts in a different amount of work off the field. Unless you're actually malformed any genetic differences can be very quickly overcome by hard work. I remember back in highschool you'd have nerds like me disparaging the "talented" kids as just coasting off their talent in Phys Ed, when in reality they were just working out and playing sports after school. Saying it was just talented was me arrogantly dismissing all the hard work they did to get to that level. What I thought was good genes was actually just weights. You could really see it when you saw their parents and siblings too
Blessed post
IQ is literally just a midwit cope
Black person you obviously haven't done any sport
Talent isn't real
>art
lol. lmao even
Try mathematics. See how far "hard work" gets you with 90iq
I think we can all agree that the real hard work character is Sakura
I mean she sucks but kinda. She's the only one during the exams who didn't have some kind of bullshit power and was supposed to be "the smart one" until they made Shikamaru a genius.
Baki has so much fricking plot armor. It’s almost as bad as Deku.
Só true, he should've lot to jack, there's always a reason for Baki to have won even though he didn't
Do you know who's carried by talent alone? Sanji, mf doesn't do anything and is strong af, 100% genetics and ass pulls, 0% hardwork
Is it a good brand of multivitamin or did I get scammed? Can you recommend better ones?
Oops didn't mean to post that here sry.
>Naruto who was instilled with more chakra than anyone in the world
>Goku who trains less than Vegeta but is still stronger
>Gon whose a natural born prodigy as strong as his friend who was trained and tortured since toldlerdom
Then team talent is completely hard work minus the SAO gay, maybe yugi idk, and maybe the pirate idk because I'm not gay enough to have watched one piece
9/10 got me to seethe
> Naruto
> any work
Elric brothers should be on the left but you included Kenichi so you’re alright.
>Team hard work
>An alien that gets a world breaking boost every few episodes
>Literally the incarnation of ninja jesus, fated to save the world, has multiple sources of infinite energy at his disposal
>The son of the strongest creature on earth
>A normal dude but happens to stumble across a dojo with several of the greatest martial artist on earth and they all happen to be willing to train him
Kirito was grindin' dat shit game 24/7 without sleeping. He's the most hardworking.

Y'all Not Gonna Make It
thats because the other jonathan did everything better
I'll give you Johnny, based lad didn't let anything hold him back.
I love that boy
Bro, William Zepelli gave him all his hamon and mastery through passing his powers to him.
Except, his depression (which he got over with later with his friend, Gyro).
The only hard worker in that picture is zoro. And you didnt even include rock lee...
Replace gon with netero
this one makes much more sense than rock lee since netero actually accomplished something with his hard work
Are Chrollo and Hisoka talent or hard work?
Chrollo is definitely talent, he was an absolute genius since childhood and iirc he's a nen specialist. Hisoka we don't know much about how he got strong
>Demon Slayer
>Talent
Bro half the show is about him wrecking his body training.
That's every shounen show bro
What matters most in the gym is having the balls to don a ski mask and sexually assault everyone who is bigger than you over the course of years to avoid suspicion. By targetedly poisoning the well you can insure that you remain the biggest by asserting your dominance in the classical primal manner and driving away all competition. You could extend this mindset to any woman who tries to mog you as well but that would become gay because women are hella weak and that means that you felt threatened by someone who was weak. You'll know you've made it once you start driving off bears (the animal kind) using your penis as a weapon. At that point, you may as well turn yourself in and frick yourself to the top of prison society living as some bestial king
Bleach is full of asspulls
>no asta
Shit list
both.
you can make up for lacking one with the other.
in the end hard work will edge out talent though.
Talent is just a cope. Most people don't realise how much effort and time mastery actually takes for the best in the field, they just see the end result, and so they blame it on this invisible, supernatural force that supposedly made someone a god at something at birth because it's easier to think of it that way. Truth is, no. Everyone's brain is malleable, and anyone can become as good as a master at something by employing the right strategies for improvement for long enough. Life isn't an isekai anime where someone is born with some special skill that no one else can get. Thinking about it objectively and looking at what a master is doing in any field, there is nothing preventing any non-brain damaged human from doing the same.
Saying this means that if you're not as good as someone else then it's your fault and you have to take responsibility for it, though, so no one wants to accept it even when it's the truth.
>goku
>not genetics
I'd say Tanjiro is in the middle
He trained hard+had memories of his father's kagura dance
>Baki
genetics
>Goku
genetics
>Natuto
genetics
The only one that trained was Zoro
>Goku
Maybe
>Yusuke
Extremely talented
>naruto
Talented and didn't even trained that harder
>baki
Hamma genetics
>gon
One in one million talent
>zoro and Kenichi
Fair
>baki
>hard work
Wrong Hanma.
His mistake was not realizing roids dont make you stronger
But they did make him stronger. Yujiro thinks he fricked up his body, but I think he never had Baki's potential to begin with. Baki also did what should amount to overtraining as a kid, but he was fine.
they do when you take experimental super roids that will kill your and shorten your lifespan unless you can overcome them with Hanma blood wankery
no show will top this
cringe and bluepilled.
whats bad about avatar? blue pill how?
>Hard work
>Gon
Come on, the anime literally stated he had like the talent of 1 in a million people or even more (i dont remember it too well)
>naruto
he 100% depended on the 9 tails...
>Goku
Didnt he have some crazy alien blood? He also learned a skill on his first try when he was a kid (forgot the name of the skill)
>He also learned a skill on his first try when he was a kid
The kamehameha?
yeah, he just saw that old man (kami) doing it and immediately emulated it perfectly
>goku
Saiyan genetics, also gets ridiculous power ups because plot demand it
>zoro
Legit, crazy ass determination bordering suicidal though he is ridiculously tough
>Yusuke
Great demon ancestor genetics
>naruto
Incarnation of progenitor of ninjutsu
>baki
Hanma genetics, his mother literally groomed him to be perfect specimen
>that kid from that battle manga
Dunno haven't watched it all but he started from zero so he might be probably legit
>gon
Every single character praises his natural talent and aptitude to nen
OP is homosexual. Also genetics still dictate majority of your life whether you like it or no
>having good genetics means you can't work hard
>CTRL + F
>No Kengan Ashura
WTF are you doing IST?
>gon
>hardwork
His trainer literally told him he was one in a million and could master what took normal people months in weeks. Plus he naturally has many talents that he gained because his dad was OP
in gym? genetics matter but as long as its decent enaugh its alright. theres no talent in gym needed
If anybody Krillin is much better than Goku as an example
>no alien dna
>strongest human alive
>coddled from childhood and forged in fire by an elite cadre of basically demigod martial art masters, alien warriors, world ending crises, with access to the experience and knowledge of his freinds, aka the strongest entities in the lore universe until toriyama sold the writing off and stopped caring, access to unlimited technological resources for training and recovery, literally chums with a family that casually designs spaceships and recovery-juice gains tanks, unlimited access to whacky magic medicine balls/sensu beans
oh yeah yeah he worked so hard for it. lmao.
Mr. Satan is the actual self-made human you're thinking of.
Yamcha and Mr Satan are the only honest characters in db
How come people only speed read now
having luck as a part of team talent is moronic, any sort of success in life requires a degree of luck in your favor, in Shonen it's basically a requirement. Genetics is also kind of a copout since it doesn't invalidate the hardwork someone puts in.
How is Yusuke not in Team Talent, dude has S-class demon genetics in him. Also Deku got hands-on training from the world's strongest heroes and was fighting villains since he was 13. Gon should also be middle considering how much of HxH is just dedicated to him training
Yusuke didn't get ultra demon powers till he died tho, before he died he was an average human.
>only 3 of them had sex
Whats the point?
>3
Naruto, Baki, Kirito and Goku
>kirito
Vr chat erp doesnt count
Were not talking about your sex life here
Demon Slayer showed all of the modern day descendants (and some reincarnations) of all of the demon slayer corps, including Tanjiro's great great great great whatever kids.
Pretty sure Bleach MC also fricked but I could be wrong. Decuck takes it in the ass and I think Gon fricked some cougars but I can't remember.
>Pretty sure Bleach MC also fricked but I could be wrong
He did. He married and impregnated Orihime.
>gon
>team hard work
The kid is basically a god of the forest and pulling out 5 ton fish at age 10 with tiny arms. He barely did any actual training while on the island.
He also completely asspulls his major fights through "oh I sacrified myself but I got a full healing after lolol".
Leorio, Killua and Kurapika are the real "hard work" characters in Hunter x Hunter.
In fact, the more I learn about nen usage the more asspully and completely moronic it is. Chimera ants are completely moronic.
>no mention of the most hardworking guy in his series
I don't care if thots get off to cheaters like Benimaru, I want to be a man like Obi
The king of hard work in manga
You mean the literal special snowflake NPC that rolls his own die? lmao
>literally special snowflake npc
What does this even mean
Did you only watch the poorly made 12 episode anime or something
>he doesn't know
Secondary
>he thinks metaphors are literal
Japanese media is too intelligent for him..
>he thinks it's a metaphor when it's explicitly stated
Illiterate
This is just some elaborate cuck fantasy that got out of hand, right?
Elaborate
>show hot girls being raped and impregnated by “goblins” in great detail
>hero goes and kills them
I mean I read a cuck doujin with the exact same premise, a girl would frick the monsters and the hero would kill them when they are all tuckered out. I laughed out loud at how stupid it was but GS is pretty much the same but less in your face
It has to be a fetish
Attractive women have been raped irl and in fantasy with “heroes” in the “story” since the dawn of time, but where’s the cuck part here
You don’t know what cuck means do you?
Watching other men frick girls you like is pretty cucky
And it was fricked in old stories too. Early orientaism was fricking weird, spawning an entire genre of “this fat bastard arab sultan kidnapped my gf and fricked her and put her in his harem, we have to save her”
Ya but where’s the part where goblin slayers wife/gf gets fricked. Anyway this kind of story is common because love and betrayal is something many understand
Pic rel is a “cuck fantasy”
>hardwork
>Naruto
>literally only able to train as he did because he had half the absolute strongest tailed beast put inside of him as a baby and even only half was more than enough to give him moron strong amounts of chakra far and above anyone else in the entire franchise
Also Deku has to work incredibly hard to use his abilities, the whole first part before he can even accept One For All is him training his body so the strain doesn't literally kill him and even then when he uses even 5% of it he breaks his limbs badly. He does later get asspull multiple quirks but he has to work to use those as well.
>baki's dad is legally recognized as a country because he by himself is the same as an army
yeah ill bet those genes didnt help
Contrary to popular belief I think Naruto and goku do belong in hard work column because goku has Saiyan genetics but there r plenty of other insane genetic ppl in dbz, Frieza literally didn’t train a single day, vegeta, raditz, Napa, were all Saiyans, cell had saiyan genes and so on. Same concept for Naruto, he had the nine tails but had to work hard to actually be able to use it and there were a lot of other crazy genetics ppl in Naruto. Baki however should be in genetics, bro only fights other humans and is the son of literally the strongest human in the series due to “demon back” which baki inherited and it let him just beat the frick out of Olivia when Olivia was pounding him 10 seconds prior
Kirito on luck is the most speedwatcher bullshit imaginable. He was on the frontlines from Floor 1 to the end. He does a ton of limit testing throughout and is subsequently the strongest player.
He just gets exponentially stronger because the strongest player gets unique skills from the system but he was only the fastest from work.
Gon is literally stated to be in the highest echelon of natural talent, yusuke was the strongest fighter among his piers before he got his powers, Naruto was just bailed out by a power given to him. Goku and zoro yea that’s legit. Don’t know who the gay on the bottom right is
Oh yea and Baki has the genes of the strongest man in the world
The gym requires no talent
Talent is related to skill. Being good at piano or a sport requires talent.
While you might need good genes to get strong or be recognized in lifting, those genes have nothing to do with the genes of talent
I would argue that talent doesn't even require any genes behind it. It's really just learning a skill in a smart way it's knowing how to learn and learn fast. Which is something anyone can do to an extent
