I'm a diffuse thinner too bro. Worst curse on earth. I stopped it and repaired it A LOT by using a shitload of topical minox every day and oral dutasteride every other day. Luckily I got zero side effects from dutasteride.
Haven't really been able to repair the right side of my hairline, as it got hit the hardest.
However, I went from a lot of skin showing through my thin hair to almost no skin showing, and at this point my skin only shows when my hair gets greast and lumped together.
So if bad gets to worse, you should consider dutasteride.
OP here, i have noticed diffuse thinning for 3 years now and my hair line receding bit by bit, dermatologist said it could either be androgenetic since my father was bald aswell (even though i have no one that is balding on my mother side), or that it could be caused by an excessive amount of sebum (even though the sebum cells are activated too by androgens) since the test with the uv lights has shown i have quite a lot of it
Cont.
I used finasteride 0.1 and minoxidil at 0.5 for 9 months every other day at 0.5 ml, however during june i reduced the amount to 1 ml per week instead of the 2-1.5 ml due to side effects.
Since then i have no brain fog, no troubles into sleeping and my erections have went back to the good old 7 inch range.
Nothing really, maybe Turkey in a year or two for a transplant but I don't want to be stuck on troonypill finasteride for life. Call me a coper all you want.
I am already taking very low dosages of finasteride but i will stop as soon as i get pyrilutamide, i study biology so i know very well the risks of it hence why i will detox from it and then use it every 10 half lifes or so
Also unfortunately i dont think a transplant will fully save me, my dad was completely bald by his 30 year birthday and i am 23 now, hair transplants is only good if the alopecia doesnt go over a norwood 3, otherwise its only a matter of time before you have to take a second transplant
Cont.
I am doing so that the excessive finasteride doesnt accumulate over time and doesnt go systemic, i suggest everyone to also follow the 10 half life rule aswell for no sidr effects, now i am free of pain to the balls.
In august i am planning to stop finasteride, rest for a month and get myself some pyrilutamide.
As many would know, it works differently than finasteride however the nightmare that it might bind to androgen receptors on the cells that make up the various tissue of the human body is a whole other trouble, which is why i will follow the 10 half life rule aswell with it (remember that half lifes are different to each product!)
Keto shampoo helped my diffuse thinning enough to not see my scalp anymore with short hair. Unfortunately there aren't many other good options for those of us who don't want to take oral drugs, get transplants, or microneedling procedures.
Keto would be very good considering that, according to my dermatologist i have a scalp that gets very oily soon meaning there is an high activity of sebum (which also means there are lots of androgens roaming around the scalp binding to the receptors of the cells responsible for sebum secretion), there is one lotion of pyrilutamide made with several ingredients one of them being an anti fungal component very much like ketoconazole
From what i heard, it takes like 1-2 year to see regrowth unless you are a good responder, watch out from the side effects and if those happens detox from the fin for a month (considering you have been using it for 6 months), and then start again at 1ml every 4 days (which is 10 half lifes of the product, by then it will be at a concentration level of 0.19%, which means that before it even causes any sidr effects, this amount is already metabolised by the body, mind you this technique works if you do it topically)

nothing to do with fin; the length of a hair's life cycle can be up to four years.

hello fellow baldie
pics are 2years apart, i had some result from fin but not great and am currently 2 months post HT (temples only)
fin is really good at stopping loss, but it wont cause regrowth typically. i recommend to take fin for a 1year to see the full result of what you can accomplish that way, and if it is not to your liking, go for the HT.
Thanks anons, I’ll stick to the Fin+minox and just play the long game. It’s not subsided here in NZ so it’s expensive.
No bad side effects so far, dick still works just as good as ever.

I went with Ken Anderson out of Atlanta. Far too early to assess my result, but the experience was completely pain free. They gave me a couple vicodins or similar and i passed out for the whole thing
I'm NW 1.5, thinning upfront, slightly receeding, left side more upward recedding. Light hair so I can notice it but at a distance it doesn't look too bad.
I was on topical min for awhile, didn't notice much help there.
I've needed to stop cooming and get my diet right for a long time now. I hope I can regrow once I get that straight.
It's the "mental illness" tier on the norwood scale
Remedies for this are: getting off social media and touching grass, or drinking minoxidil to turn into a monkey
>What Norwood is this?
NW 1.5 to NW 2
Thanks
Thank you my homie, but i am still thinning which is why i am trying to save it before its too late

That's a legit nice hairline bro. I wish I had one like that.

Wait until you find out you need to take fin after a transplant for as long as you want to keep your newly moved hairs
I've talked with a few different guys who got a hair transplant, one raw dogging it without fin after. I'll wait and see how it goes for now.

it's called a widow's peak which 95% of all men (non-bald as well) have
Youre literally mentally. Stop browsing this board and touch some fricking grass
Been taking finasteride and minox for six months now. My hair has stopped falling out but my lost hair isn’t exactly growing up back.
How long does it take for this shit to start working?

holy shit mentally ill
We look very similar, they got your hairline good
who's your doctor for the HT?
I've heard temple work is HARD. Best I've seen so far are Feller & Bloxham

Minoxidil 5% nightly scalp rub and massage.
Rosemary oil diluted in Coconut Oil twice a week.
My hair has never been healthier 3 months into the treatment. New hairs are growing. Similar hairline to yours.

This is like Norwood 1 or 1.5. Should I start fin or wait?
