This nibba knows.
I always keep some everclear on hand to soak all my meats.
I haven't eaten anything that hasn't rested in everclear overnight to detoxify and surrender the flesh in over 6 years.
Vodka or hand sanitizer will do in a pinch, but be sure to use the "I drank that at a party once" sanitizer and not the "I snorted that once at a party" version

Getting cheapo pharma ethanol hand sanitizer works great if you wash with a little oil or "fresh" vodka to get rid of the denatonium benzoate afterwards

Thanks anon. What kind of oil do you usually wash with? I was using rapeseed oil to wash until I found out about the benzoate. Now I've been using half lard half coconut for meatwashing, but I worry about the higher chromium.
Yeah the funky "I snorted this" hand sanitizer definitely leaves an off flavor. Good call with the pharmo, will have to look into it
What do you mean by freah vodka? I use whitedog preaged whiskey sometimes is that what you mean? It seems to retain some copper

Olive oil is always king, and I just mean "fresh" as in no denatonium, anything that says "distilled" was actually brewed with yeast and sugar, as opposed to produced industrially like solvent.

Oh frick I didn't even think about the yeast
I thought I'd be good because they're supposed to filter all the yeast out legally. Like that's why they filter it seven times or whatever to remove the yeast? Like isn't above a certain amount toxic to humans and punishable by fines?
Frick if the yeast has been in my everclear this whole times I'm gonna feel moronic. Do you have pharmo friends, or does this get sold on websites? I need to make sure the meat washing and surrendering is ideally clean

Vodka is usually filtered for both dead yeast and the "off flavour" byproducts - even when it's bred for making ethanol the yeast will make a bunch of other shit as metabolic byproducts than taste like shit and range in health hazards; both distilling and filtering serve this purpose, as many of the flavours are more soluble in water than ethanol and multiple distillation runs will separate it, while filtering it catches more secondarily. You'll notice that vodkas that don't mention a filtration step on their bottle/website usually have more taste than filtered ones which just taste like ethanol and burn. Pharmacy ethanol is just cheaper most of the time BECAUSE it was produced industrially, and most hand sanitizers have denatonium benzoate to discourage drinking it because it's incredibly bitter. Your call on which process suits your needs best honestly.

Does the pharmacy ehtanol perform better for soaking swordfish and other heavy metal fish? Or would you recommend the filtered yeast version for this purpose? I have been using olive oil and a few drops of bleach in water for removing the mercury.

Neither outperforms the other, unless you consider the cost a factor. Bleach is not needed as the mercury is already in some oxidation state that allows it to be organic to begin with, which is why it is oil or water soluble depending on the mercury metabolite.

This graph is misleading, not all protein by weight is the balanced. You could have an excess of a certain type of amino acid (the building blocks of protein) in a certain food group. Peanuts for example are effectively half as good as the protein grams per 100 grams would suggest compared to something like egg.
Then you have the fact that some proteins are easier for the body to digest than others.
Wikipedia does a pretty good article on it:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digestible_Indispensable_Amino_Acid_Score
It took like 2 minutes looking at that to realize it's confusing because the properties being graphed are on the wrong axes. Conventionally, quantities we want maximize are usually on the y axis, where it's more intuitive that more is better. Price would be better on the x axis where there's less loadedness to which direction is better.
So much beef, salmon, fresh tuna, trout, shrimp, and still chicken ofc. Money being no object I’d love raw milk from a reputable local farm, and various cheeses and butter and eggs. I’ve never had eggs so fresh and nutritious they were orange.
Unfortunately I’m very poor and will probably never know such luxury
duck and salmon
all day every day
Your mom’s vagine
eggs are all you need.
Steak and shrimp
SWORDFISH EVERY DAY
you mercury in the food has an effect body
obviously, it's the top of the food chain. Money is no issue and any good chef of mine isn't moronic enough to not wash their fricking meat.
>wash
>mercury content
ANON STOP BEING moronic RIGHT FRICKING NOW YOU'RE GIVING ME ANXIETY
if it's organic mercury it has to be solvable in something, wash with water, wash with oil, cook, it's not that deep.

Total horseshit. Claims ribeye is 16 g protein per 100g serving and chickpeas are over 20g protein per 100g serving. Here's ribeye
Here's chickpeas
