      Fruits do have some decent micronutrients.
      As for the macro, the carb, it is fructose, which is low GI but also rapes your liver in excess.
      So very limited fruits (<120 calories daily) is probably fine but idk.

      Is the glycation only a problem if you eat fruit WITH protein? What if the fruit is eaten by itself and the fructose is converted in your liver before eating any protein?

    Let's assume you are on a 2200 calorie diet. You are eating 30% of that in carbs. That is 165 grams of carbs a day. A 118 gram banana has 27g of carbs. So that is over 6 bananas a day. Doable but it starts to show the problem. 42 bananas a week or 168 a month.

    Not really. I ate a ton of apples for a while and my physique was pretty good. I was eating a lot of yogurt too though so I guess they weren’t my only carbs. Still, I personally think potatoes are the best carb

    Fructose is poison. It does not work the same way as glucose. Glucose is bad enough, but at least it can be used directly by your tissues, so it serves a purpose. Fructose is metabolised only in your liver, it can't be used directly by your tissues. It's turned into some glucose, but mainly into lactate and fatty acids. That's why eating too much fructose directly causes non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. It's also 7-11 times as glycating as glucose, but the damage does not show on an A1c test, it does not spike insulin, because as I mentioned its metabolic pathway is completely different to that of glucose. From a certain standpoint, fructose acts similarly to fat, with one major difference. Fat is not toxic to animal tissues, it does not cause glycation or oxidation damage at any concentration. Fructose does cause glycation damage, at any concentration.

    Fruit are absolute poison, and no human being should eat them, ever.

    OP, I love froot more than anyone in this thread. I eat lbs of it a day. I'd say there's nothing wrong with it, but why shun other carb sources? Rice, sweet potatoes and such are delicious. Savor them too.
