Yes, not for long though. I was in the same position as the dude in OP's pic. I can't say if the injury happened during the eccentric or the concentric phase, but I know I tried to push through my PR.
Please tell me you didn't start training your neck at that weight.
a moment of sharp pain that doesn't feel that bad for a moment, but gets worse with every hour and might reach its max for a couple of days and you literally can't find a pain-free position and this is a very unpleasant kind of pain, not like the pain you get from tissue injuries but something else, it's sharp and dull at the same time, really sucks
>be careful with this shit brah
stop using this scare tactic. You're moronic and added too much weight too fast without proper conditioning. I've done this with 60 lbs for reps and 90 lbs on the front before.
I prefer doing these standard neck extensions without using my arms for support. Great additional lower back training and also feels more applicable to grappling
he looks vulnerable...
Well, he's bracing against a weight that he has to support with his neck.
Mine is "Hustle" and it seems to be fine.
I slipped a disc near my neck on this thing roughly a week ago (with barely 45lbs), be careful with this shit brah
45lbs is a lot of wegiht lol.
Use bands instead for resistance and slowly add to it. Band work with the neck harness if far superior to clinging 45 lbs weights around.
it didn't feel like a lot of weight, but you're absolutely right, it's either bands or low weights with high volume and relatively limited ROM
dang im sorry that happened. Have you trained your neck before? Also what position were you in when it happened?

No, but I was adding weight too fast I guess.

what does a slipped disk feel like? I got up to 80kg a couple of years ago and felt a massive pop in my neck, have never gone over 60 since

he just advised caution, not abstaining from the exercise
imagine ego lifting a neck exercise. post body i need to know what an idiot like this looks like. im imagining a grug grug knuckle dragger
I prefer to put some weight in a backpack and do these standing up,also helps with targeting all sides of the neck.
Spud inc
I got DMoose off Amazon for neck harness and weight belt, highly recommend

get one from neck flex. the last thing you want to buy is a cheaply made one. You will snap your shit up when it breaks.
people who do this are fricking moronic, boxers is one thing but if you're just doing it at home you deserve to snap your shit up
