Whats the minimum amount of equipment required for me to get fit at home?
I've been going to the gym for the last month and its been hell. Not because I don't enjoy working out but because the only gym near me is tiny and always crouded at all times of the day (it's not 24 hour)
So whats the least I need for a home gym? I'm not looking to get massive right now, but it would be good to have "defined muscles". Would a couple of dumbbells be enough to start with?
just get dumbells and then a bench and then a pull up bar like iron gym and then think about what else you want
>a pull up bar like iron gym
I actually already have picrel but I'm worried about it fricking up my door frame, a I being an idiot?
Those frick up your door frame unless you put something between the contact points. Just like some pieces of felt or something. Just a little padding is all you need
>I'm worried about it fricking up my door frame, a I being an idiot?
no, you're not being an idiot because many homes these days use shit quality wood for the door frames as a cost-saving measure. i sucked it up and bought a true wall-mounted bar that i bolted into wall studs to avoid this problem. if you're lucky to live in an apartment building with metal frame doors then you're probably fine using your picrel.
i'm 300 lbs and thought the same thing and it doesnt mess with the door frame because of how it works
I put a couple folded up rags between the bar and door frame. Protects the door frame fine
Look, you aren't going to get massive overnight anyway, even if you trained in a fully equipped gym. Why cuck yourself with "training with a couple dumbbells" when that really just means that it will take considerably longer to get to your goal of having "defined muscles" than just training properly?
you're a gay. you can do almost everything you need with dumbells
This. Dumbbells work every muscle group if you have even a little imagination
>Shoulders
Lateral raises and military press
>Biceps
DB curls, hammer curls
>Triceps
Skull crushers
>Chest
Flys, weighted pushups
>Traps
Bent-over rows
>Calves
Leg raises
>Rest of legs
Pistol squats, lunges, Bulgarian split squats
A set of adjustable dumbbells and a mat will get you far past the average normalfat
It's not a debate about the viability of DB workouts but rather that OP will pick up a pair of babyweight dumbbells and then never get past that, whereas if he at least bought a bench, half rack, a BB and a decent amount of plates (and DBs if you're so inclined), he can actually perform the big lifts with heay weights and have a lot of room for progression and get to his goal much quicker. There is no reason to limit yourself from the very beginning.
Come back to me when you have lifted for more than 6 months.
she would feel real ugly when she's 7 months pregnant with my kids
>two adjustable dumbbell handles
>120lb of plates in 10lbs, 5lbs, and 2.5lbs
>clips for the dumbbells
>a plate tree
>an adjustable bench
>a pullup bar
>gymnastics rings
This setup will run you about 400 dollars and is usable for at least a year plus unless you have great genetic potential for lifting.
>men starts to love exercising
>nobody gives a shit
>f*ids start to love exercising
>how a NERD learned to LOVE exercise
It's the way of the world
>nobody gives a shit
there is an entire industry build around men loving the gym
what the fuc are you on about
It seems like the whole point of women at the gym is to feel pretty and oogle at guys they like. I don't think there is any woman serios about lifting in my gym. Even the ones that do the big 3 lift if they deadlifting its the same weight I seen one use for months.
Why is it so rare to find a girl that hardcore about getting stronger
A kettlebell is all you need
If you get kettlebells be sure and get some tampons for your pussy as well
