Avoid PUFAs in your diet. Don't worry you will never become deficient. All your fat intake should be saturated fat. Fat should be the smallest part of your diet. Carbs should be your primary source of food. Make sure you get at least 100g of protein a day and make sure you are consuming a lot of inhibitory amino acids like glycine. Gelatine and connective tissue in animals is great addition in the diet for longevity. Make sure you are physically active every day but not with too much intensity. Walking a lot is great. 45 minutes of weightlifting a week is great. A 20 second sprint few times a week is great. Sleep and wake time should be aligned with the sun rise. No alarms, let your body wake up on its own. Avoid mental stress. Saunas at least 3x a week. Live at a high altitude. Practice breathwork allowing you to tolerate higher CO2 concentration in your blood. Breathe through your nose only. Do not sit or lie down for too long. Learn actively daily. Incorporate destressing activities in your daily schedule that aligns with all of the previous. Find a loving partner and friends. Don't spend too much time alone and isolated. Receive and give physical and mental affection daily. Get sun exposure in the hours at and after sunrise and at and before sunset. Avoid chemical pollution - air, water, food.

You simply don't have the knowledge I have on molecular life, cell metabolism and human physiology that I do. I am suggesting some pretty far out things in there that aren't what the established governmental and academic entities suggest. But given my 12 year experience and deep passion in molecular life sciences I am very serious with what I am saying and I do follow my own advice to the best of my capability. Various "biological age" tracking tools like methylation clock testing consistently show I am a decade younger than other people my chronological age.

Not that anon, are you saying that the current public opinion of fat being good for you, like animal fat, and plenty of it, is wrong?

            Anonymous

The current public opinion on fat is split into several groups. Some advocating complete avoidance of animal and saturated fats. Others advocating for replacing saturated animal fats in favor of unsaturated plant fats. Others advocating for balancing the unsaturated fat plants but having them be higher than saturated overall. Even regulatory agencies globally disagree on this.

Fat is good for you. Animal fat is good for you. But you can't combine it with huge quantities of carbs together. Doing so results in unwanted effects on your metabolism and health. So it's best to eat a very small amount of saturated fat in your diet enough to sustain proper hormone output and then load up the rest of your calories from mostly carbs. Oxidative phosphorylation is the cleanest energy production method for the cell. Maintaing good glucose tolerance and a raging oxphos metabolism is crucial for longevity and functionality. PUFAs will harm this. PUFAs are useful for some signalling molecules when in very small quantities. They should not be used for staple food. You can cut it out completely and you won't to deficient because your body tissues has already accumulated a lot. Even if you were on 0 PUFA diet it would take years to reach complete absence of it in your body. Eating just a few nuts or a fish or wholegrains gives you miniscule but enough ammounts of it.

I'm already larger than average for the average of my nation - Netherlands. I eat more calories than average person, I am more active than average person and I am biologically younger than average person my age. My meals are delicious. This thread is about longevity and functionality. Not about enjoyment maximizing. Go back and read OP. The overall joy I get from food is similar to the overall joy you get from it. There's your problem. I'm Dutch, white, male, middle aged but way smaller than you are. The sheer volume of what you eat ensures nourishment but for a featherweight your recommendations are a disaster accelerating aging from malnutrition.

If you eat to satiation you won't have issues with micronutrients. You can live a whole life on that diet without being malnourished at any point. The more mass I have the more nutrients I need compared to someone lighter. The benefit of this diet is that it's harder to gain mass on a caloric surplus due to the increased amount of energy lost as heat. You can overeat a bit more calories above your standard maintenance calculator without fat gain. CICO still applies as more calories lost as heat.

                >If you eat to satiation you won't have issues with micronutrients.
That doesn't scale well. If caloric needs are high than a high carb / low fat diet (potatos > steak) still provides plenty of bio-available animal-based nutrients. But if caloric needs are low then high carb / low fat provides too little animal sources of nutrients and interference is greater (like dairy inhibiting iron-absorption).

I am moronic but if you were more sedentary wouldn’t that be less impact on your heart and so you could live longer as a giant? Correct me if this is wrong but your heart is the most stressed when you are tall.

                Anonymous

Cardiovascular system would be issue yes. But being sedentary is worse for you. It's important to accumulate as much bone mass and density you can while you are young. Building up muscle mass and maintaining it for decades before inevitable aging processes start chipping away at it is important. Big limiters and killers of elderly people are lack of functionality due to diminished bone and muscle mass which leads to sedentary lifestyles which further increases the rate of loss progressing into full blown osteoporosis and sarcopenia. Delaying frailty as long as you can is best thing for longevity after a good diet. A good diet combined with regular light intensity exercise is enough to keep preventable heart disease at bay. The rest is up to genetics and outside of your control.

You look to average lifespans across countries/cultures, ignore everything else. Life expectancy on a societal scale is something that is measurable and nobody is trying to sell you, so just look to long-lived countries (Italy, Japan, etc) and take your own notes. The above examples walk often in moderate climates and don’t eat as much red meat.

  11. 1 month ago

One thing "Blue Zone" areas have in common is an -active, low stress- lifestyle. You want to die young have an inactive high stress lifestyle. An uncommonly high percentage of executives succumb to this and die early.

Ideally you should get moderate exercise three times a week. But if it's not doable then at least once a week of moderate exercise. Everything in moderation is key. Going full autist on anything including exercise will send you to an early grave.

Zero smoking and zero drugs. Extremely moderate alcohol. Moderate daily caffeine is not bad at all and might even help.

Minimum six hours of sleep a night to avoid alzhimers at old age. People tend to skip on this but their brain will pay the price down the road.

For dirt no need to sperg.out. The key is to put fried foods into the same category as cake. You know eating cake every day is really bad for you. Eating fried foods every day is just as bad. Keep the fried foods to once s week max and make sure to treat yourself once a week so you don't sperg out and go full hog mode into a death spiral of fried foods.

Lastly your body it's not about strength it's about maintaining joint flexibility long term. Like indefinitely. Even if you cannot run then head to the trail and walk. Being sedentary is death. Once the joints go and you can no longer move you are dead. Dead as dirt. I have seen it happen too many times to count. Keep moving above all else and keep your brain active.

Do these things and you should be able make it to 90. Think of it as scoreboard if you can get there and you should if you do these things in your life.
