you can, but it'll frick you up
not my problem
Rentchads start winning
You know that you’re just increasing the cost of rent whenever you damage a house, right?
If you want to be a domestic terrorist and actually make a difference, you should demand refunds from Amazon and vandalize Walmart instead, give your money to small businesses, and stop buying stuff made in China.
i think seed oils for cooking meat are perfect
ever tried frying meat in lard, especially chicken?
its 2023, people don't even know what lard is anymore. butchers just throw it in the trash because they can't even give it away.
pretty soon we'll start flushing salt down the toilet.
Trying to convince my family to cook with lard and they give me such a look of disgust
are you 15 or something?
Do you think people stop talking to their families as soon as they turn 18/move o ut?
IST bros are 100% meal prep well before they turn 18, yes.
well im from eastern europe, so lard is widely avalible around here, altho city people give me weird looks when i tell them i cook with lard, its a thing only old people do you see
kind of sad, i thought east europe was still based. same deal over here in the states.
I believe the decent mexican food uses lard still
pork lard is usually also full of pufa bc they feed the pigs pufa rich onions/corn feed to fatten them
it also has a bunch of pesticides and phytoestrogens from the feed
beef tallow doesnt have the same problem bc the bacteria in their rumen saturate the fats they consume and filter out any toxins
so beef tallow or any ruminant animal fat is okay
lard is still marginally better than pure PUFA vegetable/sneed oil, but should still be avoided
tallow bro for life
where the frick can I go to get beef tallow
butchers throw it directly into the trash can, because they cant sell it. after they take more than they can possibly use for themselves and their friends, they will gladly let you take whatever else they have.
hit them up on marrow as well. you might have to pay a bit for that, but still going to be the cheapest calories you've had since dollar store ramen.
My local butcher sells beef fat in 10lb bags.
Need to remember to pick one up next time I see one on clearance.
how long can you keep that fat until it spoils?
go TALK to your LOCAL butcher
Holy frick does your mother still make you doctors appointments?
>local
>butcher
We are talking about americlaps
>your local butcher
have never been inside or seen a butchers shop once in my life. i get my meat from the freezer aisle at loblaws
My butcher sells me beef fat for $2 a pound and I render it into tallow for all my frying needs.
yeah beef fat at $2/lbs is a steal, its like getting a pound of lean beef for $1/lbs calorie wise
Ever tried marrow? Shits delicious and its amazing how few people have even tried it.
People guzzle gallons of shit oils and rape their taste buds and bodies with literal toxic waste.
use olive oil only. or coconut oil, i guess. better off just using grease, or ghee, or butter though.
i should point out that when i say grease, i mean animal fat, not crisco.
Avocado for high heat? Easier than melting coconut.
avocado is a meme food. its fine and tasty as a fruit, but even there it aint worth spending what people are charging.
avocado oil is every bit as refined as all of the refined nutrients your pop diet science sources told you to avoid.
The material being refined matters. It’s not all the same.
yeah, if you have to pick a refined oil to eat raw, avocado oil is going to be healthier than seed oil. but you aren't going to eat it raw, you are going to use it for cooking, in which case avocado falls straight into the shit tier of options in a field where you have multiple A grade options available for dirt cheap.
Nothing is as convenient for high heat. I just don’t feel like microwaving coconut every time I want to grill or broil.
coconut oil melts lower than butter, it doesnt get any easier to cook with. if you can't cook with butter you need to move back in with mom.
I can but I’d rather use avocado since it’s already liquid
most of your liquid at room temperature oils have a higher percentage PUFAs to their solid alternatives. so you are looking at oils that will go rancid from exposure to light, or just from sitting for a while. there's no intelligent point to using them.
Frick I know you’re right but I’m lazy. Maybe I’ll get my omega 3:6 ratio tested to see if I haven’t already fricked myself.
You really melt coconut oil and then coat chicken breasts with it?
>You really melt coconut oil and then coat chicken breasts with it?
can't say that i do.
honestly, the only time i eat coconut oil is spreading it on saltines like it's butter if i am just dead as frick lazy and willing to eat some shit carbs.
i just bought a pound of butter for $3 today, i bought a liter of extra virgin olive oil for like $7 a month ago. i keep my omega 3's up by eating beef and eggs daily, then i'll have a salmon filet every once in a while.
if you are trying to get your omega 3's from cooking oil you've been sold a myth.
So you melt butter every time you want to broil or grill chicken? Olive oil smokes when I use it at high heat. What do you do?
They're all liquid at cooking temperatures. Go with one that's more stable.
Yes but before it starts cooking it's solid. You can't just smear solid coconut oil on a chicken breast.
Black person are you stupid?
the heat of the p[an melts the coconut
Ghee
Holy FRICK you must have like 70 IQ
literal moron stop replying to this homosexual third worlder
Ad hominem is a fallacy.
and also not an argument. I was thinking maybe there was/is a gimmicky business idea to make greasing the grill easier with a saturated fat. An aerosol can is pretty convenient
Avocado oil is usually both rancid and adulterated with other oils. Unless you actually know what you're getting better to use ghee imo. I switched to only butter, olive oil and ghee and I haven't felt a need for anything else.
Both are terrible for getting a good sear on a steak. Solid for normal stuff tho.
if i'm cooking a steak i start the pan with a teaspoon of olive oil, salt, pepper, and then i add butter after the meat hits the steel.
I only use olive oil and butter
Trip 40s of truth and wisdom
Literally nothing wrong with seed oils in moderation.
There is no amount low enough for seed oils to be healthy.
Dont drink industrial lubricant, stick to olive oil or animal fat.
Imagine cooking using rape oil
people here got a hard on for seed oil, thinking it's gonna get them cancer or something while they are smoking cigs for little T boosts. So don't even bother asking.
>got a hard on for
my ESL friend, that would usually mean they like it
It also can be used for being mean to someone
Unless you've minmaxxed most other things seed oil probably doesn't matter yet.
meh, my knees started going bad by 28. although i was also in the military and running like it was going to bring Jesus back. cutting out seed oils and other similar "not that bad for you" shit saved me from going down the rabbit hole of injections and surgeries.
It had a massive impact on my life.
Eliminated decades of anxiety in just a few months of sneed oil elimination.
Literally the driving cause of American obesity.
The average American consumed 700 cal/day in vegetable oil in 2013. I think that counts as maxxing.
Not that I don’t believe you but sauce? I want to send this to my wife
just think about it, average American eats 3600 cal/day
assuming macro split of 60/20/20 (which tbh is a generous split)
That is 720 calories. And I am willing to bet good money most fat the average amerifat consumes is from sneed oils
https://www.businessinsider.com/daily-calories-americans-eat-increase-2016-07#the-most-shocking-increase-however-comes-from-vegetable-oil-consumption-skyrocketed-from-276-daily-calories-in-1961-to-689-today-6
cutting out seed oils is the easiest way to drastically improve your health
Just use good old fashioned butter. That real and good stuff.
Frick. Wrong video. That's the parody one.
I dont remember how it was called but when you biol butter some leftover of it is better replacement than oil or you can use that bio oil created from tree bark
That's called clarifying butter. You boil off the small amount of water in it and also cook and filter out the small amount of milk solids.
It's not necessarily better overall. It does increase the smoking point, so you can sear meats at higher temps.
Just use olive oil, there, all problems solved.
>Inb4 too expensive
Black market olive oil is much cheaper and high quality.
no its toxic and should be avoided as much as you possibly can, check labels for it and cook your own meals in coconut oil or butter
https://raypeat.com/articles/articles/unsuitablefats.shtml
PUFAs tongue my anus
I may not be able to resist the temptation to video myself chugging that shit now
>PUFAs are omnipresent
Yeah, ok, I'm sure they are super toxic then
Black person how is that what you get from a chart that shows a frick ton of foods have less that 1% pufa as a percentage of fat
in the past peoples diets consisted exclusively of the green items
in the past hundred years everything has been turned on its head so that the high pufa poisoned foods have replaced all the nutrient rich low pufa foods that people used to eat
and likewise every chronic disease has skyrocketed in lockstep
But I like pumpkin seeds 🙁
maximum of 1 TBspoon per day of olive oil. canola oil if you're nasty.
Use olive oil and butter. If you need something with a higher smoke point, use fat / tallow
mods are asleep take shots of cooking oil
I mostly use olive oil and butter but for frying or recipes where a more neutral oil is required I use a cold pressed canola oil. Which is fine. (Don't crucify me you sneed oil schizos)
sunflower oil is best
No. Use butter, lard, or tallow.
Not vegetable oil. It's bad for you.
I fricking love consuming industrial lubricants
I’ll be in the grocery store chugging it right off the shelf to the dismay of wagies nearby, lol sorry wagie but a big boy needs his sneed oil
its ok
Cooking oil is bad for you. It is literally refined fat with almost all of the nutrition stripped out of it.
Seed oils are very unhealthy. Animal fats like lard are good for high temps. For low temps you can use olive oil. Avocado oil is great but not as cheap as tallow.
>vegan
>keto-friendly
>made from vegetables
literally nothing wrong with it
You're not fooling anybody
seed oils are healthy
Is olive oil a seed oil?
No, olive oil is fine. Just make sure it's pure extra virgin olive oil so you know it's not diluted with other shit you don't want
>olive oil
based med chad
>butter
based nord chad
>any other cooking fat
