Its literally in your head. I have never in 12 years seen anyone train like Mentzer. EVERYBODY runs a roidtroony reddit 6 day PPL or Sam Sulek brosplit. NOBODY other than maybe some out of shape 40yo cybersecurity engineer trains 2-3 days per week or less.
whats wrong with 3 times a week
Nothing, its nothing special either though
ok dude
s-shut up. i do a 4 day upper/lower split. i work 60 hours a week homie, dont have time to autistmaxx a 6 day training schedule
>t. cybersecurity “engineer”
i literally just set up and configure firewalls, im not a real engineer kek
You know what the odds of seeing someone work out for 10 minutes 3x a week are?! DEW THE MATH! Plus they'll be in a gym with real body builders, not the place you go. So no, OF COURSE your DYEL ass wont see someone training the correct way
Anyone claiming you can more with less will be worshipped like a god
4 seconds between these lol
He’s dyel’s wet dream “you only have to workout once a week one set” of course a skeleton or lard ass looks at that and thinks to himself “I knew lifting was all talk and easy” they don’t want to put in the hard work and gainz it takes to achieve a admirable physique
redditors are lazy and prefer to do less work so they find a routine that lets them go to the gym 1 time per week and then shill it hard to make themselves feel better
They're too moronic to realize he was on steroids and amphetamines (nothing wrong with that tho he's still a legend)
That and he died at 49
Mike Mentzer himself is pretty chill, he did say some really schizo shit about overtraining but for the most part, he's right about people needing way less volume than they think. This doesn't mean doing more volume is bad, or doesn't confer some extra benefits especially for advanced lifters, but most people will make good gains on one set to failure (if they actually train to failure.) I think the best take away from Mentzer is how important training intensity is, albeit his crusade against volume is dumb and I wouldn't take his recommendations to the letter. As for reddit and hivemind behavior, go ask a farmer why his cow grazes the fields.
Because he is right.
There is no need to work out every day. 2 or 3x a week is optimal for muscle development.
They found a regiment that works for them. Next moronic thread.
But it doesn’t work…
Then it doesn't. Next moronic thread.
>taking days off ever
Lol
>t. goes to the gym to use the elliptical and then leaves
You're either not going hard enough or roiding
you are a dysgenic brownoid if you cant hit back after chest
Cool buff (crazy) guy with a mustache
It's a sales tactic to appeal to normalgays. Every single other bodybuilder did the same split and trained just about every day. Bodybuilding explodes. Then this guy comes out to the masses and says you don't have to do what literally everyone else does to get big, buy my shit and only train 2 days a week, just trust me lmao. You see it happen today, too. There's this guy peddling his new patented (of course) device that increases intensity at the top of range of motion (opposite of bands) because supposedly it works better than regular training, and he says that nobody sees gains because they don't do that (when really they don't train at all). Forgot his name
Dorian Yates was better.
He used the word ‘inclusive’ once and all of the trannies got mildly erect
Unironically yesterday I did his chest and back workout and today I can’t even move my back to a place where it’s not sore af. Also my chest is blasted with just a set of incline db press. Volumegays will do anything to reject his methods and keep slaving at the gym like good goys.
Take the HIT pill, embrace mentzermaxxing. Until then I’ll rest until Monday for my leg session. Godspeed and frick the volumetards
