Pic is a beautiful fragrance. It just fricking sucks it got reformulated.
I managed to frick 30+ pussy because of that, and la nuit de l'homme

God knows, it's obnoxious as frick and I own like 20 bottles for different seasons/occasions.

Reformulation ruins everything. I just hope shit gets discontinued at this point, it saves me money instead of leaving me with a worthless bottle of Encre Noire. Atleast Zoologist lets you know the current version of something got reformulated so you're aware that Rhino is now trash (I wish I could afford the original, but alas it's now never going to happen).

The last 5-ish years there's been a huge uptick in "self improvement" types that've discovered the gym, fashion, fragrances etc. But all the younger people just now discovering fragrances are also using them where they'd normally be considered rude, like gyms

Fragrance youtubers are moronic. Just get your hands on a sample and see things for yourself, instead of having someone try to describe shit. Most of them are influenced by notes listed and the marketing of the fragrance. I still remember laughing at people saying fragrance X was for "bad boys", and it's almost always because the bottle or name has some word like black, noir, etc or the bottle was just black. Best example was Tom Ford Noir, it's fricking baby powder. Fahrenheit is also in this catagory when I notice it's mostly worn by guys over 50. Fragrance won't make you a bad boy or anything, but youtubers and reviews keep pushing that stupid shit.
Just get samples and see what you like.

go outside and visit a parfumerie. you can try as many fragrances as you wish and you can ask the people working there for suggestions

I got Azzaro Chrome and it doesn't smell very good. Must have changed it since the 90s. What's the difference between extreme and that?

Real men try to smell as little as possible. I use perfume free detergents, shampoos, soaps, deodorant. Everything smell free. Your natural smell should be the only thing emanating off of you. Not sweat, you should be clean, but you should smell naturally. We straight up secrete pheromones.

Yes and no. First its hard to put a price on something being "worth it". This applies to literally everything. Are clothes really worth the price? There are 5€ shirts, 25€ shirts, 100€ shirts, 200€ etc. Second, look for fragrance outlets or whatever its called. Basically just google it online and buy the cheapest price. You can get 200ml bottles of stuff for cheaper than 50-75ml that you buy straight in stores. These outlets buy stock from bankrupt companies etc. you can buy legit stuff WAY cheaper.

I have plenty of high end 100-200ml bottles for like 50-80€ and they last forever. Several several years even of daily use. So again its hard to put value on something. For me it is worth it because my finances are not affected by slightest of like 2-5€ monthly cost.

      Anonymous

Simple. Do you like wearing it?
Are you ok spending a few cents a day to smell that cologne. Bottles last ages if you only need like 3 sprays so when you divide the cost up it's like a cup of starbucks a week at most.
Just don't be the cologne guy who bathes in it (or just don't buy sauvage, it's fricking everywhere and it lingers in the air for way too long).

always buy from a discounter. I use fragrancebuy.

Buy samples. Only buy a flask if you really like the smell on you because smell of fragrances depend on your body chemistry. So even if you know that you like x because a coworker wears it it doesn't mean x smells good on you

      Anonymous

Yeah, in Most cases its worth it. But you have to Like it as Well. One of my favourite ones is Versace the dreamer, costs Like 25€ or whatever. Not everyone Likes it, but it harmonizes with the smell of my leatherjacket. My daily Driver is sauvage (eau the Parfum), 3 Sprays a day since August and I am Just half trough the bottle.

Does this shit make the slightest bit of difference to the opposite sex? I think I've worn some kind of fragrance about twice my whole life and whenever I get it for christmas/birthdays it either ends up gathering dust in a cupboard or goes straight in the bin.

      Yes.

You should have 2 types of fragrances - cheap stuff you can spam daily and the expensive good stuff you use more sparingly (think special events, impressing key people, gatherings, etc).
Personally I use Joop Wow as the cheap stuff I spray all the time and Dior Homme I spray more sparingly. I would classify fragrances as a key requirement for a man since smelling nice has a strong psychological effect on people (which is especially noticeable in an office/professional environment). This applies at home with the cheap stuff (you feel nice when you smell nice).
But the idea of wearing fragrance to the gym is really fricking gay. If you're worried about sweaty smell at the gym you should at most just don some deodorant.

honestly it really depends on your age. I really think if you're under like 40 it comes across as a little tryhard. If you're young just try to smell neutral or if you're going to use one, try to one that isn't super strong or clearly meant for arabs.

It definitely does. Wear something like La Nuit De L’Homme and hug/go near a female friend/acquaintance and watch their face light up.
