      there are plenty of burger joints that are better than in-n-out, but their quality at their price point is very hard to beat
      I think you can get a double double meal for under 10 dollars in most locations, definitely cheaper than getting a quarter pounder meal from mcdonalds. their ingredients seem higher quality than most fast food places too.

    That's a fairly small amount of McDonalds for an average-sized person, I'd say? The main reason fast-food cooks so fast and "lasts" so short is that there isn't much density to it. I wouldn't WANT to eat a double helping of nuggets in that timeframe, but I could easily.
