I live not far from a elementary or middle school (dunno which it is), think I'm gonna start kidnapping children to harvest adrenochrome from them. I'll bribe the local authorities with some of my harvested adrenochrome so they don't prosecute me.

I thought about moving near the Mexico border to do that. Elementary school kids going missing is one thing, but if illegals go missing nobody will bat an eye.

And it's not really the adrenochrome that does it.

Sleeping isn't dying. Or losing your train of thought, that's not dying either. There's biological processes and material still there.

But after you die, there's your corpse, there's a lot you left behind, your years of life are being projected into space, there's your historical record. You are part of the world and events could not have unfolded the way they did if you're not taken into account.

Technology is advancing at an incredible rate, with that rate increasing. I bet it's possible to clone, mind upload, and create a cosmic superfauna to resurrect the dead. Create a clone, emit gravity waves so that the universe would have to alter itself if that person's mind is not the same. The universe is not going to do that, so either consciousness is preserved or nothing happens.

We have billions of years to do it. The real frightening thing of this very likely outcome:

      - you died millions of times in your life already
      - your physical body is meaningless
      - you only exist at the mercy of a really good radio transmitter.

Drink 1 cup of milk in the morning with 10,000iu of vitamin d3, it reaches it's maximum in your blood stream after a year. Helps your body produce its own antibiotic, cathelicidin, so you will never get sick again, and increases total body collagen, which is what makes up all tissues in your body, and increases and maintains mitochondria output. I could see a person easily live to 100 years old if they simply took this every morning, while looking younger and being stronger than other 100 year olds.

      Anonymous

      >Why would you even want to live forever
_I_ don't want to. I want to discover a method and trick humanity into engaging in it. I want people to live long enough that they become as disenchanted and hateful of life as I am. I want them to finally decide that they have no choice but to end their own life.

Also longevity is separate to living forever. People die for many reasons other than ageing. It would allow you to live longer with a healthy mind and body before you'd still inevitably die.

Organic iron is not the same as metallic iron. Metallic iron is toxic because it accumulates wherever it pleases because it can't be moved around by the body. Avoid any food "reinforced with iron", those frickers are only adding cheap metallic iron to cheat the tests to meet moronic government regulations.

Eat iron oxide aka "rust", this is the kind of iron your body craves

            Anonymous

no, do not do this, you fricking idiot
iron oxide is not bioavailable only heme iron is
iron oxides are oxidants and create harmful quantities of free radicals, also most of the iron in fortified foods is iron oxide not elemental iron
even heme iron (ie from meat) accumulates, its not just elemental iron thats a problem
for menopausal women its not much of a problem bc obviously they lose iron every month, but for men, to get rid of iron you have to either bleed it out (eg donate blood) or chelate it
dairy products happen to chelate iron so if you drink enough milk (at least a quart a day) that should offset the heme iron from meat a bit
also you dont have to eat red meat everyday, you can go on a sort of ""cleanse"" where you stop eating meat for a couple weeks and make up for it with a half gallon to gallon of milk a day, gelatin to make up for lost protein intake, and eating carbs as you normally would

just read the article and read the sources if youre not convinced: https://raypeat2.com/articles/articles/iron-dangers.shtml

In these eight years the price reduced tenfold and I think they give it for free to people with Alzheimer's disease.
I also have my own projects, aiming to eliminate other causese of premature death, but I lack not only funding, but public comprehension as well. It's one thing to invent something, completely other thing it is to expalin it to others, and to build a company on top of that is a completely different task, requiring completely other set of skills. I can't say I wouldn't chase that dream of mine of making something big and important in science, but they'd better teach us to perform all three of those tasks in schools, also because those sets of skills can be very useful in every other field of human activity.

I've seen quite a few where by the time they realize a drone is around they get maybe 1-2 shots at it before it explodes in their faces, and have good AOE, 10 meters diameter is basically seriously injured if not dead. limbs/heads flying off like nothing. they also can go in very tight hiding spots. seen them enter metal pipes, under tanks/vehicles, in ditches, in fricking holes in the ground. if you fit, they fit as well. they are already as hellish as it gets. don't see how a drone can be worse than it already is, unless AI self-guided able to hunt for you in an entire underground cave system or something.

And even now, pretty hard to defend against them. Or expensive. You either have some intercepting drones, but once you hear the buzzing you don't have much reaction time. So you'd have to keep them active at all times and hope they can intercept farther than their area of effect. or serious shielding, but that slows you down and they'll just figure out penetrating projectiles or some shit.

Eh I'm super conservative with recommendations because so much is potentially harmful (or pointless). Less is more is a good mindset, and never delude yourself into thinking something is a panacea
        But universal recommendations would be
        >D 2-5k
Noticeable long-term immunity improvements. Probably very good for the telomeres
        >K2 100mcg
No reason not to, alleviates calcium concerns from D.
        >Astaxanthin
Noticeable long-term improvements in skin health, must be good

        >drink green tea

Anti-stress. AMPK activator. Probably good for
            the telomeres
Also I tried most of the liposomal RenueByScience shit and anecdotally Spermidine is the best of the bunch, actually seems to improve subjective well-being.

Uridine + diet restrictions(1 egg a day + cod oil) certainly beats Lions Mane. But Lions Mane requires no diet restrictions.

            Its not pointless
But the effect is so subtle there is only a effect if you are in a period of heavy learning, and even then you are better off just eating more egg and fish. Most of the nootropics are just targetting far far into the effect chain, vs just feeding the entire ecosystem.

                >If you think that you are going to hell that means that you are living a sinful life, that is your responsibility.
no, the only reason I think I'd go to hell is if I refuse to stay alive, if I can, because random reasons. I fear that would get me in hell. and I'm not trusting any of you motherfrickers.

First, eventually you are going to die. Second, as a statistical certainty, your health is going to get worse before you do. Behaviors that when first engaged are immediately rewarding with little effort, but that later have an increasing cost or decreasing reward, are ‘vices’ (playing vidya, drinking, scrolling the internet or TV endlessly). Behaviors that are low reward and require effort at first, but with more effort the reward becomes greater and the cot is lower, are ‘virtues’ (health-maintenance behaviors, making friends, learning an instrument). An enormous amount of advice that will prolong your life and increase the quality of it is virtuous behavior; humdrum, boring, and commonly known. The reason everyone doesn’t do it is because the initial pay off is so low. But let’s take this one step eBay a time and talk about specifics of behavior.

SOCIAL: Go to school and get a good paying job with benefits. Make friends, aggressively. To make friends you have to be in proximity, be agreeable, and pursue. Get out of your house for heaven’s sake, and join a church or a sports league. Be agreeable; don’t pick arguments, gauge the temperament of your audience before telling a joke. Pursue: assume that people want to be around you, invite them out with you, and if they describe an event that would be appropriate for you to attend (going to the bar: yes. Going to a wedding of people you don’t know: no), ask if you can come. The health benefits of a social support group are enormous, and a driving factor in how people live past 100. When finding a lover or spouse, be judicious. This person has the power to give you children, or to kill you. Who you marry will probably be the most important choice in your life. Make sure you share the same values, and are sexually compatible. Read “Seven Principles for Making a Marriage Work.”

NEURO: On a long enough time line, you develop dementia. Protective factors include lifelong learning and the absence of mental health issues. Mental health issues are negatively correlated with a strong social network and high socio económico status (see point 1, Social). Engage in lifelong learning in multiple modalities. Do not get into the habit of watching TV or scrolling the internet.

CARDIOPULOMNARY: VO2 Max is highly predictive of overall healthy and positively associated with longevity. Improving your VO2 Max occurs typically when you are exercising at 90% of your maximal heart rate. Your maximal heart rate is estimated by 220 - age. For a 30 year old man, his maximal heart rate is 190, and he achieves VO2 max when working out so that his heart rate is 170. Achieve your VO2 max for 20 minutes a day, four days a week. This can be done in tabata sprints; 5 minutes at VO2 max, 1 minute “jogging,” cycle 4 times. Cardiovascular health affects EVERYTHING else. If you have cardiovascular damage from hypertension, the leads to poor end organ perfusion(less blood flow to the brain, kidneys, muscles, etc) and so poor health. Hypertension is also associated with stroke, renal failure, and about every other no infectious disease you think of. Manage your blood pressure. Better blood flow to your dick means better sexual performance. For heaven’s sake, DON’T SMOKE. It will kill you. It will ruin your lungs, give you hypertension, cause chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and is a risk factor for many types of cancer (lung cancer, colorectal carcinoma, renal cell carcinoma, etc).

GI: Eat in moderation, and don’t eat high sugar foods, or foods with a high glycemic index. Even the metabolic effects aside, being overweight stresses your joints, and poor musculoskeletal health leads to a worse, shorter lifespan. Insulin resistance diabetes/Thpe 2 diabetes is avoidable for the majority of the population; don’t kick your pancreas into overdrive all the time by overeating, eating high glycemic index foods, or both. Diabetes is the new smoking. It will kill you, slowly, by pieces, and you’ll look like shot while it does. Also, get your colon cancer screening.

RENAL: Drink lots of water, manage your blood pressure, and don’t smoke.

SEXUAL: get tested regularly and often, make new partners show you proof of testing, always use a condom and trust no one

MSK: Strength training leads to better quality of life, longer life, and it’s fun pounding b***hes. Go do some weight training. Form > weight

DENTAL: Brush your teeth, floss, and see a dentist regularly. One of the cheapest, easiest investments in your health.

ENVIRONMENTAL: If you live in the rust belt, get a radon detector in your basement. Indoor petroleum fuel furnace, get a carbon monoxide detector. Always have a smoke alarm. Guns stay out of the house. Wear your seat belt every time, no exceptions, and do not ride ATV or motorcycles. Wear sunscreen every day. Drink modestly, no more than 4 a week, and no more than 2 in a night.

The cells in your body replenish themselves constantly and have a limited amount of times they can do it. Avoiding repeated unnecessary negative stresses on the body is the best way to slow aging. This applies to anything and everything. Also certain things like sleeping under proper circumstances and eating food you understand to be good for you helps greatly.

      >Avoiding repeated unnecessary negative stresses on the body is the best way to slow aging
      It depends
Subjecting the cells to stress can make then more durable/capable i.e weight training in certain angles strengthening bone density

Lack of consistent "stress" of joints causes decreased synovial fluid efficacy. I currently have to sit in child's pose constantly to strengthen my anles and knees for that reason, and they get stronger and function under load much easier as each day progresses

Of course, anything can be done poorly or improperly and anything done properly can still have issue

the Hayflick limit doesn't hold up in vivo (especially for larger animals). in vitro it's likely more like a "default replication limit" in the absence of hormones and other intracellular processes that signal telomerase activation, and even then for some organisms it just flat out doesn't apply.

      Anonymous

Well, so what is the core mechanism to replenish the cells each time? Is it dependent on the enviroment, is it a fixated amount that we are born with, it is dependant on the telomeres?

So, what causes the input order to replenish again? Because if we knew about it we would make it slower or we could make unlimited cell replenish situation.

I guess antioxidants just smooth a bit the damage in the cells but there must be an internal order (maybe affected by external causes) that gives the signal to duplicate.

And here there is also the cure for cancer. If we knew what is the root of the duplication of cells we could stop getting older and could stop cancer (stoping unhealthy cells duplicating).

Why is it so difficult for molecular biologists to find the real root? Are the cells communicating with some area in the brain that makes us getting older and die? Maybe nature made us having a limit lifetime for evolutionary purposes but maybe we could change it. There must be some area in the reptil brain that causes all of this for all forms of life.

        Anonymous

The cell cycle is triggered by nutrient sensing or damage. It goes wrong when quality control mechanisms and waste disposal are not working. You get cancer when damaged cells grow from nutrients and escape quality control mechanisms.
Slowing growth does not necessarily lead to health, it could lead to sarcopenia. But if you enact superior quality control mechanisms and DNA is transferred to the next generation of cells there is no problem. Having cells just slow their cycle would not prevent them from getting damaged by the environment or radiation.

It is pretty complicated but there is no simple solution or switch that works. Because we do need fresh cells sometimes.

          Anonymous

          >nutrient sensing or damage
But all people over 50 show that they are old in their faces regardless of how much damage they have received. Every single human over 50 has damaged cells?

The root must be in other area because even if you force a 20 years old with lots of damaging inputs he would still look like a 20-25 years old.

There must be something related to our reptile brain that makes cells more prone to never recover because from an evolutionary point of view all animals must die, so this must be encoded in our DNA or in our reptile brain.

Scientifics should put much more focus in investigating our reptile brain. That is where we could find a way to avoid getting older or damaged.

Or is there any animal that does not get old (old tissues, old organs, etc) before dying? Is it a process for all animals or are there any animals that go from good cell replication to dying in a short period of time?

Immortal jellyfish undergo biological reincarnation by reverting back to their most basic and early of forms like a pseudo phoenix from mythology. They aren't a complex life form and that process would probably never be applicable to something like us but it's still interesting to know that a creature like them actually exists.

One thing "Blue Zone" areas have in common is an -active, low stress- lifestyle. You want to die young have an inactive high stress lifestyle. An uncommonly high percentage of executives succumb to this and die early.

Ideally you should get moderate exercise three times a week. But if it's not doable then at least once a week of moderate exercise. Everything in moderation is key. Going full autist on anything including exercise will send you to an early grave.

Zero smoking and zero drugs. Extremely moderate alcohol. Moderate daily caffeine is not bad at all and might even help.

Minimum six hours of sleep a night to avoid Alzheimers at old age. People tend to skip on this but their brain will pay the price down the road.

For food no need to sperg.out. The key is to put fried foods into the same category as cake. You know eating cake every day is really bad for you. Eating fried foods every day is just as bad. Keep the fried foods to once s week max and make sure to treat yourself once a week so you don't sperg out and go full hog mode into a death spiral of fried foods.

Lastly your body it's not about strength it's about maintaining joint flexibility long term. Like indefinitely. Even if you cannot run then head to the trail and walk. Being sedentary is death. Once the joints go and you can no longer move you are dead. Dead as dirt. I have seen it happen too many times to count. Keep moving above all else and keep your brain active.

Do these things and you should be able make it to 90. Think of it as scoreboard if you can get there and you should if you do these things in your life.

Yes that's the point you can consume supplements in what is to be considered a safe range but still end up with some disruption. Just because magnesium is good for you doesn't mean you should supplement it with pills if you're already well sufficient with it. Better safe than sorry and keep all markers on paper.
