Intercepted order. Turns out they'd have had no clue i'd ordered if I didn't admit it as it had been crypto but I'd never really had any police interaction and didn't know what they could know.
Lawyer didn't know either so just said admit it and we'll aim for a CRO, which I did get. They kept the electronics for fricking ages though. From it I learned the police well know they can punish a lot without any conviction. They will make sure they get an unnecessary arrest on your record, they will hold you in a boring as frick cell for a day and they will hold onto evidence for as long as they see fit. I basically had to pay a lawyer to harass them to get my computer back.
Rough break, man. Yeah police have to wait ages to get electronic stuff analysed because of all the nonces getting their computers investigated and not enough staff to do the work.

Don't know how or why they intercepted. Guess they worked out the vendor or just scan it, who knows. I just know they couldn't have worked it out without my admission as they theoretically could have gotten more from my electronics if they were capable, but clearly they weren't.
So if I had just said absolutely nothing other than "no comment" from the second I saw them it would have been clear sailing.
