Smartwatches to lose weight are for morons who have solved every problem in life by buying something to solve it for them

Never needed a smartwatch to lose weight, but if I were to get one I'd get an Apple Watch because they're probably the best and they look the best

I'd also like to add to my fellow fitizens reply that if you're on a budget consider: Huawei Fit1 or 2
They're pretty good for a budget fitness tracker/smartwatch

Buy an older Apple watch over any android shit. I have a 4th gen apple watch I got in 2018 and I literally dont even know what "improvements" the new ones would have over it. . .

but what does one use it for?

In terms of losing weight it won't do shit to help you. I use it to tell the time and it's nice to have a heart rate monitor and occasionally answer messages without carrying my phone around the gym. But other than that it was a waste of money.

Exactly. At SOME point people have to realize this tech bullshit is a timewasting, show-it-to-others, coonsumer crutch and won't help you lose weight. And I run a tech company.

          >literally dont even know what "improvements" the new ones would have over it
Off the top of my head from the ads they were running last year during football games
          >tracks your menstrual cycle (lol imagine being a woman)
          >can tell your stroke type when swimming (okay?)
          >can detect car crashes and call 911 (but a lot of things can trigger it and then you have to apologize to them because your dumb watch called by mistake)

The thing I think is an improvement is the screen is always on right? The older ones the screen is only on when you raise your wrist or touch it. That was a huge pain in the ass about the 3rd gen watch I have. Sometimes I raise it and the screen doesn't come on so I have to touch it a bunch to get it to work.

Plus now the 3rd gen ones are super slow to do things like start workouts, you have to tap it over and over and over to get it to start sometimes.

Also it's such a pain in the ass to have a friggin watch you have to charge everyday as well as a phone. That sucks ass.

Also I don't wear it outside of my workouts to track my heart rate because I can't stand the distraction on my wrist all the time. I've gone back to plain old wristwatch.

You fatasses will come up with any excuse in the book to delay just going to the fricking gym and not eating like shit.

    >"Once my new goywatch comes in I'm gonna get yoked bro!! just gotta wait for this watch it's the last thing I need before I embark on my fitness journey! Oh and shoes, I need to find the best shoes before I hit the gym, once I get the shoes sorted out then there's NOTHING stopping me from getting a gym membership, what are the best shoes IST? okay I swear last thing I need is the right supplements, once I get a few supplements ordered then that's the LAST thing on my list and THEN I can truly be committed to the gym!"

Just go to the gym. For the love of god stop making excuses and start training TODAY.

There, won't break the bank and it is low profile. Charge every 5 days if you use it heavily, Every week and a bit if you use it lightly.

But that has a screen. No really what I'm looking for. I want something with no screen. The only option I found for that is this thing that has a $30 monthly subscription, which is insane.

No, whoop's website says clearly it's $30 per month, unless you pay up front and it goes down a little depending how much you prepay

It is a single purchase standalone tracker and is associated with a free Mi-Fitness App.

So yeah, what you said is a lie.

If you want to track heartrate while lifting get a Polar H10, everything else is inaccurate when it comes to lifting weights.

All you need is a heart BPM and step counter, go with an Apple Watch.
