Whose genius idea was it to make shoes like this?

Whose genius idea was it to make shoes like this? Who thought it was a good idea to put elevated heels in shoes and completely ruin our body's alignment? It's like someone is intentionally trying to attack our health with stuff like this along with the modern mattress, but thats a different story. Or is it?

It's legitimately because it was decided to look more aesthetic hundreds of years ago and the fashion "trend" has stayed to this day.

This is for zoomer bros mostly and the young who still have time to correct issues with posture. I was an athlete and in a car accident that all fricked me up badly through my youth, I had tailors bunions and my arches collapsed, things were very stiff in my lower legs and I had all kinds of nerve damage to deal with. My tism is strong on this and it explains quite a bit about athletic performance and the like, which I won't go into here.

The tl;dr is if your toes are spread as they would be in the types of shoes we used to wear, your arches should never collapse and if everything else in the posterior chain isn't deformed or something, you will spare yourself all kinds of fricked up issues or possibly even correct them. I'm designing some of my own, but use these toe spreaders during yoga or daily life to the extent you can stand it, every day without irony. More importantly, get your feet measured. Most good shoe designers and companies make or will make a shoe that accommodates your feet. See if/how your feet are different from the majority of pipo and apply yourself. All that about barefoot shoes, it's your decision, correct width is more important imo. I have some barefoot shoes that I only use for cardio and long walks and all of this has corrected many issues with feet, posture and well-being over a matter of years.

      No
      Frick you anon
You can find your toe to heel length, but you can't find a good taper guide without reading obscure literature, and even then you are at the mercy of whoever drew the shoes.

i dont get it, i've worn shoes all my life and none of my toes bend like that. Is this a result of physical labor while wearing them, like sports?

These pictures are from people who wear shoes 2 sizes too small. These posts are made by the same kind of autists that screech about skinwrapping on IST and the jet fuel can melt steel beams crowd. Generally a mix of autism and lack of common sense.

Any recommendations for comfy wide feet shoes?
I've been wearing these $20 chinkshoes and they are actually quite comfy but only last literally 3 months before they make me look homeless.

American made New balance 990 Series. They're a little on the heavy side but last forever. Everything is actually stitched instead of just glued together. I can usually get a year and a half of running out of them before I start using them for yard work. Current yard work pair is 6 years old and are holding up great.

Imagine not being intelligent enough to buy shoes big enough to fit your feet.

And imagine having a core so weak you cant even enjoy sleeping on a modern matress without getting backpain.

I have some toe spreaders but I'm scared to start wearing them because then I'll be stuck with weird flipper feet and I'll have to buy all new shoes. Plus I wear dress shoes for work and wide toe box dress shoes look terrible.
I do feel better when I go for walks with my wide-toe-box shoes, though that might just be because they're barefoot style too (really thin soles and no heel drop).
