Why am I so fat at a relatively low weight

Hi fit

I’m 75kg. At 181cm yet I look obese, pudgy. But that’s not even a really high weight given my height.
Am I just fat or is this a hormone thing?
Would leaning out to 65k make me look slim?
I’m kinda baffled rn

    1) You are fat, so you should lose weight.
    2) Fat is a lot less dense than muscle. Lift while cutting and you're slim down A LOT.

You're just fat. Lift weights and do some cardio.

You're not overweight. It's genetics and some of us are doomed to be skinny fat.

Yes it is beyond your control so you should just accept it. Don't bother with diet and exercise. Eat whatever you want

you didn't exactly start skinnyfat, there's some visible muscle there in your arms and chest. still pretty impressive anon good job

You're skinnyfat. You have little muscle and a lot of fat. Luckily, with some effort you can fix this. Eat a bit less and lift weights hard. You'll slim down quick. Used to be like you

this is a much better example, how long did that take you?

It's called being skinny fat you have low muscle mass relative to your high fat Mass. One of the biggest flaws with the BMI are freaks like you. When the BMI came out people like you were not in existence all that much

I can see on your legs that you are not working out. Build muscles on your whole body (arms, legs, torso, back, ass, neck…) and everything will come to the right place. Also, when doing that increase your protein and decrease your fat intake. It’s time to watch those macros.

Exactly one year between pics, but I could've done it much shorter hard I worked harder.

You got it champ, just make sure you're eating enough protein. 1400 is low, I wouldn't eat less than that. Trust me when I say that cutting more doesn't mean you'll lose it faster. Smaller deficit will be the same speed, with a larger deficit you'll just frick up your metabolism if you aren't refeeding.

I'm naturally a very light eater, 2 meals a day feels about right to me so I'll try to make up the protein deficit through shakes or something like that. Appreciate the advice

Whey is your friend here. I dry scooped a cup every day but not everyone can stomach that

Had I worked harder*. I made the mistake of eating less without working out and ended up a soft skeleton. Last few months I've been building muscle, but muscle building progress is very slow compared to fat loss. Wish I had lifted sooner.
