Why are fitness supplements so useless yet so sought after? Is it all a marketing scam? My roid friend told me that the only ones that are worth it are the ones that you inject in your ass.

creatine is worth it if you can stand the bloat but thats really it
>trade your hair for volume
not worth it
it allows you to carry more glycogen than you normally can for that extra humph in your lifts. although roids do a better job at it for cheaper
Don't take advice from roiders
shilajit, and a bunch of the other supplements shilled on right wing biohacker twitter; pine pollen seems to be useful in my experience tho
The same reason why doctors tell you not to take herbs in place of medicine.
These supplements work, but their effects are minor and not enough to claim significant results. But you should be taking supplements. Even an extra 5% to your health is enough to give you a few extra years down the line
I'm natty and have tried several various supplements. The only ones that seem to do anything positive are creatine, HMB, and pea/rice protein. Creatine ABSOLUTELY DOES make my hair fall out. I have gone on and off it multiple times and EVERY TIME my hair starts falling out when I take it, and stops falling out when I stop taking it. HMB seems to help with re-comp. And the non-animal based protein makes me fart less.
Zinc gives me libido so i fw it
True. But, I think of those kinds is just a regular multivitamin type of thing and not a gym enhancer. The B vitamins, DHA/EPA, Boron, Biotin, magnesium etc can all be taken car of with a one-a-day like Centrum. I figured that OP was talking about shit like MSM, SARMS, etc.

Seconding this. I also get scalp itch.
I think its not 100%, have taken it for a while and not experienced any hair loss, seems to speed up genetic hair loss
Here's a list of scam supps (non exhaustive):
>creatine
>BCAAs
>fish oil pills
>ashwagandha
>turkesterone
All shilled for eternity yet yield no significant results when done a proper workout + diet plan
>inb4 noooo creatine works trust the science bro it's properly researched countless times
so is vaccines yet you don't believe in vax
Pretty much, meme supplements, I take a couple of multivitamin gummies & bone up just to be on the safe side, all the shit that roidtrannies are marketing is totally useless including whey & creation, hurb supplements will kill ur liver and kidneys in long term
the best supplement in my experience has been DMT it definitely works
The only worthwhile supplements will be organized similar to how the most not worthwhile food at the store is: all along perimeters with the junk in the aisles. Stick to protein, vitamins and minerals and even those are shaky at best.
Creatine is fairly worth it but you may not even notice the impact. It truly shines in its ability to let you squeeze 1-2 more reps out of set.
> Is it all a marketing scam?
Yes. Anything effective at building muscle is cheap. Besides creatine or the convenience of whey protein there's almost nothing besides basic ass minerals that are also dirt cheap
