Yeah but a strong core on a girl will allow you to pound her harder and even punch her since women love to be abused.

For guys it's just teens obsessed with a 6-pack. For chicks its a yoga thing.
It's accidentally based tho. Core is the second most important muscle group after legs. In regards to overall strength and balance at least.

You work core to keep your core tight and strong during compound movements. Hemorroid prevention is #1 reason.

They are extremely easy to do when only using your bodyweight, especially when you are skinny. Makes dyels believe they are strong despite never having met any sort of real competition against someone who is actually stronger.

Because they never do a decent routine that has all the compound exercises that also hit your core like squats, deads, bb rows, ohp, farmers shit like that. It's crazy how many times I've seen people nice and lean with 0 core and they blame.it on genetics and shit

moronic normies are actually so dumb they believe you can spot reduce fat by just exercising that part of the body while still eating shit. Also core exercises are overrated as hell and most people have no fricking clue what the core muscles are actually used for hence why they try to lift heavy weight with them or do movements. The major function of the core is to stabilize the spine aka resist movement. For this reason exercises such as squatting, deadlifting, and even benching are better core exercises than most shit you see. Exercises that involve tending the core muscles and holding them in that position such as planks are also proper. And no you do not need an entire day dedicated to core unless you are a giga DYEL with a super weak core

You are moronic, it's still a muscle and the same principles you apply to train other muscles work the same with your core. Have you ever gotten doms, significant rep drop off, or any other significant disruption in your core after doing squats or fricking benching? No? Then you didn't work them hard enough and you need to do some fricking core work IF you want to train them in particular.

Core is also crucial for avoiding injury and the injury being less bad if it occurs. Core is like a final layer of protection for if another muscle fails badly.

I used to weight lift and my core was pretty weak. I got into martial arts, both striking and grappling, and now my core is crazy strong.

I think core strength is much more important if you are doing actual functional things with your body.
