Why are so many men content and happy with being weak scrawny punks all their life and think they're too big brained to lift weights?

they see it as a waste of time because society doesn't require it. they aren't wrong as long as nothing happens.

That’s like saying society doesn’t require being beautiful or tall or talented.

it doesn't if everyone looks like them or the majority. it's all being normalized and being fat or obese isn't seen as an outlier anymore.

I didn't do anything athletic growing up because I was bad at it—skinnyfat, uncoordinated, weak, slow, etc. And I didn't realize how easy it would be to fix all that, so I just figured it wasn't for me and that I was "naturally unathletic". Other things came more naturally to me, so I focused on those. I wish I'd realized 10 years ago or more that even one year of lifting three times a week would pay big dividends.

You can lift for years and a tall dude with broad shoulders who never lifted in his life will mog you

But then you can kick his ass while sparring with the bros and people will have a newfound respect for you, srs

Well yeah because people will underestimate your abilities based on how you look. They won't underestimate other guys so the only way they'll realize you're not useless is if you actually prove it. I didn't challenge anyone or anything, I just said sure when they said they wanted to fight and ended up giving a dude with half a foot and 60 pounds on me a pretty good thumping. Pretty fun time all around and he of course got plenty of good hits in on me too.

Anyway, it's like seeing a shitbox car and assuming it won't be fast, it's only natural to assume it'd be slow and that an expensive sports car is faster, unless you're proven wrong by actually seeing how fast it really is. Or how someone who looks like a gymbro is assumed to be stupid and must prove himself to be intelligent whereas a poindexter with glasses doesn't need to prove it for himself.

Samegayging this post as a 6ft beanpole because I work a dangerous job with a uniform that is far from form fitting, colleagues rightly assess me to be useless and flimsy until I actually have to prove otherwise.

Do it for yourself and for your personal benefit anon. Anyone who lifts for anything else is fooling himself.

Because unless you understand the nutrition side of it, and stressing your muscles till falure, you dont really get to see positive feedback for your efforts.

Its not readily apparent volume and not overeating will neverlead to growth, at least it wasnt to me.
So basically the attitude is "ive never really been a muscle guy, those guys are usually tools, so im just not really gonna go down that road, or care, cuz why bother?"

Why even bother lifting if you're below 6ft? Women still won't want you and any normal man won't be intimidated by a buff manbaby freak.

Because, news flash, some of us actually like ourselves. Also we're too busy watching cool shit and learning fun facts to dedicate hours every day to taking steroids and sweating like mules at the gym (or as I call it, the douchehouse).
