Was uneducated on body fat until a few months ago, so I thought a BMI under 25 was healthy. I had barely any focus on my fitness. I also really like to overeat. Food tastes good.

I'm getting there but think i might have to bulk before I get closer because apparently i could frick up my metabolism or CNS by cutting straight to 12% from where i was (28%)

I am, currently 21% but people on here been saying don't cut straight down without a period of bulking/maintaining for a couple months but I don;t want to slow down my progress, i can;t tell if they are trolling

the best advice is to do the opposite of what IST tells you. keep cutting. IST will keep you fat and weak.

I was spinning my wheels 'lean bulking' for 9 months. Started bloatmaxxing in mid-october and have made more gains since then than did from february through october.

      Anonymous

no you havent. you are so fricking delusional if you think you have made gains from mid-october to now. you can literally build like 200-300g of muscle in that time. you just got fat. your muscles are packed to the breasts with glycogen and water and body is on fat cells galore.

        >You are just fat.
        I am BMI 16

I was stuck stuck at 7.5kg dumbbells since May. Started Sam Sulekmaxxing on Octobver 11. Soon, the invincible 8kg dbs was child's play and I went straight to lifting 10 kgs.

I'm seeing similar progress on most lifts. Chest flys are up from 25-30 to 35-45 kg. Machine shoulder press is doubled - it went from a sketchy lift that I hated to one of my favourite exercises. Normally I was struggling under the slightest amount of weight and I felt like I was asking for an injury.

great work getting overfat for no reason

            >also BMI is not an indicator for bodyfat
This is a fact I'm acutely aware of. I was "underweight," but not underfat at 42.8kg. Feeling like a fatass at 48.5kg kg with fat rolls spilling out over my belt, but I'm making progress on my lift now that I've upped my caloric intake from 1650 kcal to 2200 kcal. I'm planning to continue buling until the end of the year.

You lose mass so fast when you're under 12%

  17. 6 months ago

I'd have to be like 140 pounds or less to be under 12% and I refuse to be that light, even if I would have abs.
Currently 155 and 16% or something.

What's the point of being heavier if it's all fat? You could simply also increase your muscle mass to reach it sooner, like at 150 lbs.

The basic plan right now is to slowly maingain my way up to like 160 and then cut at the end if I look like I need it.
I originally cut from 170 to 150 and I got tired of everyone telling me I looked like I was going to die.

Fair enough, I'm getting some of that as well, which made me slow down my cut and gain some more muscle before decreasing my bf. Currently at 14% 160 6', I'll try to be 155 at most when reaching 10% because otherwise I'll look ghoulish too.

I'm on the carnivore diet while doing intermittent Dry fasting.
Im losing weight constantly and relatively fast.

The downside is that I still have like 50 pounds to go, so I'm gonna reach the sweet 12% in like three or four months at best.

Just when summer is ending here in Argieland.

I was at 10% but didn't feel so good and my progression stalled. At 13-14 I progress better, have more energy and feel stronger, but I looked better at 10%
